IDEAL GASSY GUS User manual

®
Game Play: Turn on Gassy Gus using the
switch on the base of the chair. Place Gus in the
centre of the playing area. Give each player 2 belly-
buster soda cards (if playing with less than 4 players,
the extra soda cards can be put to the side). Shufe the
food cards and deal 5 to each player. Players should hold
their food cards in their hand so that other players cannot
see them. The remaining food cards are placed face down
and become a draw pile.
The youngest player starts by placing a food card from
their hand on Gus’s tray. That player pumps Gus’s head the
number of times shown on the played food card. This will
inate Gus’s belly. If Gus does not “pass gas”, play moves
to the next player to the left. That player plays a food card
from their hand onto the tray and pumps Gus the required
number of times.
Pumping: A “pump” is when Gus’s head is pulled all
the way up and then pressed all the way down so that
you hear a click as Gus chews his food. If a player
does not take a full pump, that pump should not be
counted and that player must pump again.
Passing gas: If Gassy Gus farts during
a player’s turn, they must draw 2 extra
cards from the draw pile and add them
to their hand.
Belly-buster soda cards:
At any time during another player’s turn any
opponent can play a belly-buster soda card, by
placing it on Gus’s tray. This adds 3 pumps to the
a food card that has just been played. For example,
if player A plays their pizza food card (2 pumps) and
player B plays a belly-buster soda card, player A will
have to pump Gus 5 times.
Only 1 belly-buster soda card may be played at a time (so
the maximum extra pumps will only ever be 3). Each player
gets 2 soda cards per game, each of which can only be
played once and after they have been played they cannot
be replenished.
Winning the game: The rst player to play all
their food cards that they had in their hand wins (belly-
buster soda cards do not count as food, so do not have
to be played). Please note that when a player plays their
nal card, they still have to pump Gus the required
number of times. If they make Gus pass gas, they
must still draw 2 cards and play continues.
