EINLEITUNG
Dieses Gerät dient zum Toasten von Sandwiches und sollte nicht zur Zubereitung von
Lebensmitteln in anderer Form benutzt werden.
SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
1. Lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung vor Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes sorgfältig durch!
Beachten Sie alle Sicherheitshinweise, um Schäden durch nicht sachgemäßen Gebrauch zu
vermeiden!
2. Bewahren Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung für den weiteren Gebrauch auf. Sollte dieses Gerät
an Dritte weitergegeben werden, muss diese Gebrauchsanweisung mit ausgehändigt
werden.
3. Das Gerät ist nur für den Privatgebrauch geeignet.
4. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck und nur in Innenräumen.
Verwenden Sie den Toaster weder im Freien noch im Badezimmer.
5. Der Toaster dient nur zur Zubereitung von Lebensmitteln.
6. Im Falle von unsachgemäßem Gebrauch oder falscher Handhabung kann keine Haftung für
eventuell auftretende Schäden übernommen werden.
7. Vor erstem Gebrauch prüfen Sie bitte, ob die Stromart und Netzspannung mit den Angaben
auf dem Typenschild übereinstimmen.
8. Kinder oder Personen, denen es an Wissen oder Erfahrung im Umgang mit dem Gerät
mangelt, oder die in ihren körperlichen, sensorischen oder geistigen Fähigkeiten
eingeschränkt sind, dürfen das Gerät nicht ohne Aufsicht oder Anleitung durch eine für ihre
Sicherheit verantwortliche Person benutzen.
9. Kinder müssen beaufsichtigt werden, damit sie nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
10. STROMSCHLAGGEFAHR!Versuchen Sie nie, das Gerät selbst zu reparieren. Lassen Sie das
Gerät im Falle von Störungen nur von qualifizierten Fachleuten reparieren.
11. Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig den Netzstecker und das Netzkabel. Wenn die Anschlussleitung
dieses Gerätes beschädigt wird, muss sie durch den Hersteller oder seinen Kundendienst
oder eine ähnlich qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
12. Verhindern Sie eine Beschädigung des Netzkabels durch Quetschen, Knicken oder
Scheuern an scharfen Kanten und halten Sie es von heißen Oberflächen und offenen
Flammen fern.
13. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nicht am Kabel aus der Steckdose und wickeln Sie das
Anschlusskabel nicht um das Gerät.
14. Mit diesem Gerät darf kein Verlängerungskabel benutzt werden.
15. Verlegen Sie das Anschlusskabel so, dass ein unbeabsichtigtes Ziehen daran bzw. ein
Darüberstolpern nicht möglich ist.
16. ACHTUNG LEBENSGEFAHR!Tauchen Sie das Gerät während des Reinigens oder des
Betriebes nie in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten. Das Gerät nie unter fließendes Wasser
oder andere Flüssigkeiten halten.
17. Fassen Sie den Netzstecker nie mit nassen oder feuchten Händen an.
18. Führen Sie keine fremdartigen Gegenstände in das Innere des Gehäuses ein.
19. Öffnen Sie unter keinen Umständen das Gehäuse.
20. Ziehen Sie vor jeder Reinigung, und falls das Gerät längere Zeit nicht benutzt wird, den
Netzstecker.
21. Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht auf Kochplatten (Gas-, Elektro-, Kohle-Herd usw.). Halten Sie das
Gerät von allen heißen Flächen fern. Betreiben Sie das Gerät immer auf einer ebenen,
stabilen, sauberen, feuerfesten und trockenen Fläche und außerhalb der Reichweite von
Kindern und geistig behinderten Personen.
22. Platzieren Sie das Gerät so, dass der Netzstecker jederzeit zugänglich ist.
23. Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht mit feuchten Händen, oder auf nassem Boden stehend in
Betrieb.
24. Das Gerät steht unter Strom, solange es ans Stromnetz angeschlossen ist.

25. Trocknen Sie das Gerät und alle Zubehörteile vor Anschluss an das Stromnetz und der
Anbringung von Zubehörteilen.
26. Die Benutzung von Zubehörteilen, die vom Hersteller nicht ausdrücklich empfohlen werden,
können Verletzungen und Beschädigungen verursachen.
27. Verwenden Sie ausschließlich Original- , bzw. vom Hersteller empfohlene Zubehörteile.
28. Lassen Sie das Gerät an einem sicheren, von Kindern und Behinderten unzugänglichen Ort
abkühlen.
29. Verwenden Sie kein Brot mit hohem Zuckergehalt oder mit Zucker bepudertes, da solches
Brot zu Bränden führen kann.
30. VERBRENNUNGSGEFAHR!Teile des Gerätes werden während des Betriebes sehr heiß.
Fassen Sie nur die Griffe an.
31. Gefahr eines Brandes oder eines elektrischen Schlages: Keine zu großen Speisestücke,
keine Metallfolien oder Werkzeuge in den Toaster einlegen.
32. BRANDGEFAHR! BROT KANN BRENNEN!Das Gerät daher nie unbeaufsichtigt lassen. Das
Gerät darf nicht mit leicht entzündlichem Material, z.B. Vorhängen, Textilien, Wänden u.ä., in
Berührung kommen oder damit zugedeckt werden. Achten Sie bitte darauf, dass immer ein
ausreichender Sicherheitsabstand zu entzündlichen Materialien eingehalten wird.
33. Sorgen Sie jederzeit für gute Belüftung während des Gebrauchs.
34. Sollte ein Brand entstehen, ziehen Sie zuerst den Stecker aus der Steckdose oder trennen
Sie das Gerät anderweitig von der Stromversorgung, bevor Sie geeignete Maßnahmen zur
Brandbekämpfung einleiten. ACHTUNG!Schütten Sie kein Wasser auf das noch unter
Spannung stehende Gerät: STROMSCHLAGGEFAHR!
35. Das Gerät sollte nicht mit einer externen Zeitschaltuhr oder gesonderten
Fernbedienungssystem betrieben werden.
SPEZIELLE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
1. Die Heizplatten und Teile des Gerätes werden sehr heiß. Lassen Sie das Gerät vollständig
abkühlen, bevor Sie es reinigen oder verstauen.
2. Es muss darauf geachtet werden, dass das Netzkabel keine heißen Oberflächen des
Gerätes berührt.
3. Zum Einlegen und Entnehmen der Sandwiches nur Werkzeuge aus Kunststoff oder Holz
verwenden, um die Antihaftbeschichtung der Heizplatten nicht zu beschädigen. Achten Sie
darauf, dass die Werkzeuge keine spitzen oder scharfkantigen Kanten aufweisen.
Dieses Gerät dient ausschließlich für den privaten Haushaltsgebrauch und darf nicht für
kommerzielle Zwecke benutzt werden.

VOR ERSTER INBETRIEBNAHME
•Entfernen Sie sämtliche Verpackungsmaterialien.
•Überprüfen Sie den Lieferumfang auf Vollständigkeit und eventuelle Transportschäden.
Sollten Transportschäden vorhanden oder der Lieferumfang unvollständig sein, so
kontaktieren Sie Ihren Fachhändler.
•Heben Sie die Originalverpackung auf. Diese kann zum Transport oder Lagerung wieder
genutzt werden. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigtes Verpackungsmaterial umweltgerecht
gemäß den geltenden Vorschriften und machen Sie diese Kindern nicht zugänglich.
•Legen Sie das Netzkabel (3) vollständig aus und führen es durch die Aussparung im
Standfuß.
•Verbinden Sie den Netzstecker mit einer entsprechenden Steckdose.
•Heizen Sie das Gerät zwei- bis dreimal ohne Lebensmittel auf, um Produktionsrückstände zu
entfernen. Lassen Sie das Gerät pro Heizzyklus für ca. 5 – 10 Minuten eingeschaltet, wobei
sich Gerüche und Rauch bilden können. Dies ist kein Grund zur Sorge, achten Sie aber auf
ausreichende Raumbelüftung.
•Reinigen Sie nach vollständigem Abkühlen das Gerät wie unter Reinigung und Pflege
beschrieben.
INBETRIEBNAHME
•Stellen Sie das Gerät an einem trockenen, stand- und rutschfesten Ort auf. Die Standfüße
(7) sind mit rutschfesten Enden bestückt.
•Tragen Sie vor Gebrauch des Gerätes eine dünne Schicht Butter, Margarine oder Kochfett
auf die Heizplatten (2) auf. Den Deckel wie nachfolgend beschrieben, öffnen.
•Verbinden Sie den Netzstecker mit einer passenden Netzsteckdose. Das Gerät schaltet sich
ein und die grüne Kontrollleuchte (5) leuchtet auf.
•Die besten Resultate können durch Vorheizen des Gerätes erzielt werden. Den Deckel dazu
geschlossen halten und das Gerät für ca. 3 Minuten vorheizen lassen. Sobald das Gerät
betriebsbereit ist, leuchtet die rote Kontrollleuchte (6) auf.
•Öffnen Sie das Gerät, indem Sie die Verriegelung (1) nach oben klappen und den Deckel am
entsprechenden Handgriff öffnen. Fassen Sie das Gerät immer nur an den Handgriffen (4)
an.
•Legen Sie eine Scheibe Toast auf die untere Heizplatte. Den Toast zuvor außen mit Butter
oder Margarine bestreichen.
•Belegen Sie nun den Toast mit den gewünschten Lebensmitteln und legen anschließend
eine weitere Toastscheibe auf die Füllung. Auch die zweite Toastscheibe außen mit Butter
oder Margarine bestreichen.
•Mit diesem Gerät lassen sich maximal zwei Sandwiches gleichzeitig zubereiten.
•Schließen Sie nun vorsichtig und langsam den Deckel und hängen die Verriegelung durch
Einrasten ein.
•ACHTUNG! Beim Schließen des Deckels kann heißer Dampf entweichen. Äußerste
Vorsicht ist geboten.
•Der Toastvorgang dauert etwa 2 – 3 Minuten. Das Aufleuchten und Erlöschen der roten
Kontrollleuchte zeigt dabei das Konstanthalten der Betriebstemperatur an.
•Um die fertigen Sandwiches zu entnehmen, die Verriegelung öffnen und den Deckel
vorsichtig nach oben schwenken. Auf heißen Dampf achten!
•Die Sandwiches mit Hilfe eines Werkzeuges aus Kunststoff oder Holz entnehmen. Nach der
Benutzung des Gerätes, den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose ziehen und das Gerät an einem
von Kindern unerreichbaren Ort vollständig abkühlen lassen.
•Die Sandwiches sind servierbereit. Es ist jedoch zu bemerken, dass die Sandwiches je nach
Lebensmittel extrem heiß sind und zu schweren Verbrennungen führen können. Dies gilt
speziell für wasserhaltige Nahrungsmittel, wie zum Beispiel Tomaten.

REINIGUNG UND PFLEGE
•Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose und lassen das Gerät an einem von Kindern
und Behinderten unzugänglichen Ort vollständig abkühlen.
•Hartnäckige Speisereste, wie z.B. angebrannter Käse, lassen sich nach kurzem Einwirken in
Speiseöl entfernen. Betroffene Stellen mit wenig Speiseöl betupfen und für einige Minuten
einwirken lassen.
•Grobe Speisereste mit einem Kunststoff- oder Holzschaber entfernen. Die Heizplatten und
das Gehäuse des Gerätes mit einem feuchten Lappen und etwas Spülmittel reinigen.
Anschließend alle Bauteile gut trocknen.
•Den Toaster keinesfalls in Wasser eintauchen oder unter fließendes Wasser halten.
Achten Sie bei der Reinigung darauf, dass kein Wasser in das Geräteinnere eintritt.
•Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung keinesfalls scheuernde Reiniger und Gegenstände, auch nicht
Benzin oder Lösungsmittel.
•Den Toaster an einem trockenen, kühlen und vor Feuchtigkeit und direkter
Sonneneinstrahlung geschützten, und von Kindern unzugänglichen Ort aufbewahren.

Umwelthinweis
Elektrische und elektronische Geräte gehören nicht in den Hausmüll. Sollten Sie
sich von dem Gerät trennen wollen, informieren Sie sich in Ihrer kommunalen
Stelle über eine fachgerechte Entsorgung von Elektroschrott.
Wenn das Ende der Lebensdauer erreicht ist, machen Sie das Gerät unbrauchbar, indem
Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen und das Kabel durchtrennen.
Sorgen Sie für eine fachgerechte Entsorgung von Verpackungsmaterialien. Informieren Sie
sich über Sammelstellen bzw. Mülltrennung bei Ihrer Kommune.

other way.
SAFETY ADVICE
1. Read the instruction manual carefully before using the device! Pay attention to safety advice
in order to prevent damages caused by improper use!
2. Store the instruction manual for future reference. If you pass the device on to third parties,
attach this instruction manual as well.
3. The device is suitable for private use only.
4. Use the device only for the intended purpose and only indoors. Do not use the toaster
outdoors or in the bathroom.
5. The manufacturer is not responsible for damages caused by improper use or non-
observance of the instruction manual.
6. Prior to connecting the device to the power supply check if the voltage corresponds to the
data on the rating plate of the device.
7. This device is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
8. Children should be supervised at all times to ensure that they do not play with the device.
9. DANGER OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Never repair the device yourself. The device can be
repaired by a qualified specialist only.
10. Regularly check the power cord and plug for possible damages. In case of damages, in order

device for a longer period.

and dry surface, and out of the reach of children and mentally disadvantaged persons.
21. Position the device in such a way that the power plug is accessible at all times.
22. Do not operate the device with damp hands or while standing on a wet floor.
23. The device is energised as long as it is connected to the power supply.
24. Dry the device and its accessories prior to connecting it to the power supply or attaching
accessories.
25. Using accessories that are not explicitly recommended by the manufacturer can cause
injuries and damages.
26. Use either original accessories or accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
27. Allow the device to cool down in a safe place, inaccessible for children and mentally
disadvantaged persons.
28. Do not use bread with high sugar percentage or bread powdered with sugar, since such
bread can cause fire.

29. DANGER OF BURNS! Parts of the device are very hot during use. Touch on the handles
only.
30. Danger of fire or electric shock: do not insert too big slices, metal foils or utensils into the
toaster.
31. FIRE HAZARD! BREAD CAN CATCH FIRE! Do not leave the device unattended. The
device must not come in contact or be covered with easily flammable materials, e.g. curtains,
textiles, walls, and similar. Make sure that the sufficient distance is kept to flammable
materials.
32. Always make sure that the room is properly ventilated.
33. In the event of fire, first disconnect the power plug from the socket or disconnect the device
from the power supply otherwise prior to undertaking a suitable action aimed at extinguishing
fire. CAUTION! Do not pour water on the still energised device: DANGER OF ELECTRIC
SHOCK!
34. The device must not be operated with an external timer or separate remote control.
SPECIAL SAFETY ADVICE
1. The heating plates and parts of the device are very hot. Allow the device to cool down
completely prior to cleaning or storing.
2. Make sure that the power cord does not come in contact with hot surfaces.
3. Use only synthetic or wooden utensils when inserting or taking the sandwiches out in order
not to damage the non-stick coating of the heating plates. Make sure that the utensils are not
pointed or have sharp edges.
This device is intended for private use only and must not be used for commercial purposes.
PARTS
BEFORE FIRST USE
•Remove all packaging materials.
•Check the scope of delivery for completeness and possible transport damages. Should the
lamp be damaged, or the packaging incomplete, contact your dealer.
•Remove the original packaging. It can be later used for transport or storage. Dispose of the
packaging material in an environmentally friendly way and according to the binding laws and
regulations. Keep it away from children.
•Unwrap the power cord (3) fully and guide it through the opening in the standing foot..
•Connect the power plug with an appropriate socket.
•Heat the device two to three times without food to remove production residues. Allow the
device to be switched on for approx. 5 – 10 minutes per heating cycle. Characteristic odour

and smoke can be emitted. This is a normal phenomenon, ensure proper ventilation of the
room.
•After the device has cooled down completely, clean it as described in the Cleaning and
Maintenance section.
FIRST USE
•Place the device on a dry, stable and non-skid surface. The standing feet (7) are equipped
with non-skid endings.
•Apply a thin layer of butter, margarine or cooking fat onto the heating plates (2) prior to using
the device. Open the lid as described below.
•Connect the power plug with an appropriate socket. The device switches on and the green
indicator lamp (5) lights up.
•You can achieve the best results by preheating the device. Keep the lid closed and allow the
device to heat up for approx. 3 minutes. As soon as the device is ready to be used, the green
red indicator lamp (6) lights up.
•Open the device by flapping the locking device (1) up and opening the lid on the appropriate
handle. Touch the device on the handles (4) only.
•Place a slice of toast on the lower heating plate. Butter the toast first.
•Put the food suited to your taste on the toast and cover the sandwich with another toast.
Butter this one as well.
•You can prepare maximum two sandwiches at the same time.
•Now close the lid carefully and slowly, and hinge the locking device by locking it in place.
•CAUTION! Whileclosingthelidhotsteamcanbeemitted.Pleasebeextremely
careful.
•The toasting process takes around 2 – 3 minutes. Switching the red indicator lamp on and off
indicates maintaining constant operating temperature.
•To remove prepared sandwiches, open the locking device and carefully lift the lid up. Take
care of the hot steam!
•Remove the sandwiches with a synthetic or wooden utensil. After using the device,
disconnect the power plug from the socket and allow the device to cool down in a place
inaccessible to children.
•The sandwiches are ready to be served. However, keep in mind that depending on the food,
the sandwiches can be extremely hot and can cause serious burns. It refers especially to
food with high water percentage, like for example tomatoes.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
•Disconnect the power plug from the socket and allow the device to cool down in a place
inaccessible to children and mentally disadvantaged persons.
•Stubborn food rests, like e.g. burnt cheese can be removed after putting a little bit of cooking
oil over them. Dab the spots with a little bit of oil and allow the oil to take effect for a couple of
minutes.
•Remove big food rests with a synthetic or wooden scraper. Clean the casing of the device
with a damp cloth with some dishwashing liquid. Then dry all parts well.
•Do not immerse the toaster in water or keep it under running water. When cleaning,
make sure that water does not enter the inside of the device.
•Do not use abrasive cleaners and objects for cleaning, including petrol or solvents.
•Store the toaster in a dry, cool place, protected from humidity and direct sunlight, and out of
the reach of children.
