1.1 Firmware Update (English)
To update firmware for theHDB-301R, please follow the steps below.
NOTE：
Firstly, go to IEI official website (http://www.ieiworld.com/) and click
Products Video Capture Box HDB-301R Download.
Download the latest firmware update file:
HDB-301R-update_FW-Vx.x.x_FPGA-Vx.x.x (The 'x' represents
characters which vary from version to version).
Step 1: Connect the HDB-301R to a computer. Confirm the connection in Device
Manager.
Step 2: Unzip the firmware update file downloaded from IEI website. Open the folder
and locate the USB30VB.exe file. Note: Avoid saving the unzipped folder in a
directory whose name contains non-English characters.
Step 3: Double click the USB30VB.exe to open.

WARNING！
Please follow the procedures described below
to perform firmware
update. Do not disconnect the USB 3.0 cable during the update
process unless told to do so. Disconnecting the USB 3.0 cable can
cause power interruption and may lead
to firmware update failure or
device damage.
If you have any questions, please contact IEI customer service.
Step 4: Click Update FW/FPGA to start updating firmware and FPGA.
Step 5: The program starts to update the firmware. The green bar on the screen
indicates the update progress.

Step 6: When the update is finished, the following message window appears. Please
unplug the connection between the HDB-301R and the computer, and plug it in
again. Then, click OK to close the pop-up window.

Step 7: The firmware update program allows users to obtain the current firmware and
FPGA version.
Click Get Firmware version: the firmware version will be listed above.
Click Get FPGA version: the FPGA version will be listed above. Step 0:

請依照以下步驟更新 HDB-301R 韌體：
注意：
請先至 IEI 官網（http://www.ieiworld.com/），點 選 產品 影像擷取盒 
HDB-301R Download，找到並下載最新的韌體安裝包：
HDB-301R-update_FW-Vx.x.x_FPGA-Vx.x.x（檔名內的 x將會隨著軟
體版號不同而有所變更）。
Step 1: 請於電腦接上 HDB-301R 裝置，並透過裝置管理員來確認 HDB-301R 已連接。
Step 2: 解壓縮於網站下載的韌體安裝包，然後開啟解壓縮檔案的資料夾。注意：解壓縮
後的資料夾的完整路徑建議均使用英文命名。
Step 3: 找到並執行 USB30VB.exe 程式。

警告！
請依照更新說明操作。韌體更新過程中，請勿拔除 USB 3.0 連接線！
若拔除 USB 3.0 連接線導致電源中斷，可能使韌體更新失敗，造成
HDB-301R 無回應或者需要維修。
若有任何問題或需要協助，請聯繫 IEI 客服人員為您處理。
Step 4: 點擊 Update FW/FPGA 開始更新韌體與 FPGA。
Step 5: 使用者可從以下畫面的綠色更新條，瞭解韌體更新狀態。

Step 6: 韌體更新完成後，會出現以下對話方塊。請先拔除再重新插入 USB 3.0 連接線，
並點擊確定。

Step 7: 使用者可透過此韌體更新程式取得目前的韌體/FPGA 版本：
點選 Get Firmware version，韌體版本號會顯示於上方狀態框中；
點選 Get FPGA version，FPGA 版本號會顯示於上方狀態框中。Step 0:
