communicateisapproximately300m,inanopenair.Dierent
buildingmaterialsandplacementoftheunitscanaectthe

wirelessconnectivityrange,soitisVERYIMPORTANTTHATYOU
CHECKTHEFUNCTIONOFTHEPRODUCTBEFOREUSINGTHE
TWOUNITS.
IfunitsareoutofrangetheRangeindicator(15)ontheparent
unitwillstarttoashred.
NOTE! Thebabymonitorshouldneverbeusedasamedical
device,norshoulditreplacedirectsupervisonofyourchild,at
regularintervalsbyaresponsibleadult.

Openlid(9&19)andinsert3xAAA/HR03NiMHbatteriesinboth
parentunitandbabyunitwithcorrectpolarity.

How To Use
A, Baby Unit
1.SwitchthepoweronbyturningtheOn/Oswitch(1)from0
to1.Whenthepowerison,theBatteryindicator(4)lightsup
green.Iftheindicatorstartsblinkingred,theunitneedsto
becharged.
2.Youcanadjustthesensitivityofthemicrophonefrom1to3
usingtheMicrophonesensitivitycontrol(1).Themicrophone
ismostsensitivetosoundwhenitissetto3,andleast
sensitivewhenitissetto1.Ifthereisalotofbackground
noise,it’sagoodideatolowerthemicrophonesensitivity.If
thesurroundingsarequiet,themicrophonesensitivitycan
besethigher.
3.Youcansearchfortheparentunitbypressingsearchbutton
(3).Pressingthebuttonwillmaketheparentunitemita
noticationsoundfor20seconds.
Longpressonthetalkbackbuttonontheparentunitwill
turnthenoticationsoundo.
4.TheRange/Transmittingindicator(5)lightsupgreenwhenit
picksupsound.Solidgreenwhenparentunitiswithinrange.
Flashingredwhenparentunitisoutofrange.
5.Placethebabyunitnearyourchild,withthemicrophone
facingthechild.Makesuretheunitiscloseenoughtopick
upsoundsfromyourchild,butnotsoclosethatyourchild
canreachit.0.9metre(3ft)isagooddistance.

NOTE! Makesuretheparentunitisatleastacoupleofmetres
awayfromthebabyunitbeforeyouswitchiton.Iftheunitsare
tooclosetoeachother,feedbackbetweentheunitscancreatea
loudscreechingnoise.
1.SwitchthepoweronbyturningtheOn/Oswitch(10)from
0to1.Whenthepowerison,thebatteryindicator(12)lights
upgreen.Iftheindicatorstartsblinkingred,theunitneeds
tobecharged.
2.Youcanadjustvolumeofthespeaker(17)from1(lowest)to3
(highest)usingtheVolumecontrol(10).
3.Whenasignalisreceived,theSoundlevelindicator (13)will
lightupinthreelevelsdependingontheintensityofthe
soundtransmittedfromthebabyunit.Atlevel3theunitwill
alsovibrate.
Thisindicatorisusefulformonitoringyourchildwhenthe
volumeoftheparentunitissetonlow.
4.Whentheparentunitisincontactwiththebabyunit,this
isindicatedbyagreensteadylightontheRangeindicator
(15).Iftheunitsareoutofcontactwitheachothertherange
indicatorwillstartblinkingred.Therewillalsobeabeeping
signaltoalertyourattention.Thissignalisalsoactivatedif
thebabyunitisswitchedo.
5.Youcantalktoyourbabythroughtheparentunittothe
babyunitbyholdingtheTalkbackbutton(16).

6.Youcancarrytheparentunitwithyoubyattachingthe
Rubberring(14).Toremovetherubberring,bendit
outwardsandpullitotheunit.
Charging
Baby unit:
Whenbatteryislowthebatterysymbolwillashred.Connecta
powersupplytotheinputconnector(2).
Parent unit:
Whenbatteryislowthebatterysymbolwillashred.Place
parentunitinbabyunitdockingconnector(7)orconnecta
powersupplytotheUSB-Cconnector(11).
Forcharging,useonlyNIMHtypeAAA/HR03rechargeable
batteries.
DonotattempttochargeothertypessuchasAlkaline,Carbon
Zinketc.Thebabymonitorhasbuiltinprotectionandwilldetect
wrongbatterytypes.Thebatterysymbol(4)willindicateerror
byashing.
Recommended battery types:
3xIKEALADDA900(AAA/HR03,1.2V,900mAh,Ni-MH)
(Notincluded)
Donotmixbatteriesofdierentcapacities,typesordate
stamps.

couldcausethemtostopfunctioning.
•DisconnecttheACadapterfromthewallsocketwhennotin
use,inordertosaveenergy.
