INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing this Ikegami High Performance IP PTZ Speed Dome Camera. Please
read this Instruction Manual carefully to keep your Ikegami camera at peak performance for
longer service period. All Ikegami cameras are designed and manufactured with utmost care
and craftsmanship to provide long life and high quality performance, if it is properly used and
maintained as outlined in this manual. This Speed Dome Camera System is equipped with 1/4”
High Sensitive CCD sensor and the latest digital image processor, which has a Day/Night
function and Wide light dynamic range performance and a lot of useful facilities and functions in
a smart dome shape to allow for a wide range of uses in many different applications.
This Ikegami product is made of ECO friendly components based upon the companies policy
and corporate social responsibility to contribute towards the Global Environmental Solution for
energy conservation and environmental sustainability, all the components used in this product
are Non-hazardous, Non-Toxic, Lead-Free and conform with Japan’s Green Product
regulations, the EU’s RoHS directive and other regulations and laws relating to Environmental
and Hazardous Chemical Substances.
Handling Precaution
Handle the unit with enough care not to shock nor vibrate it, which may otherwise
result in trouble.
1. Installation location and conditions
• Do not use the camera where the ambient temperature drops below -10°C or rises above +50°C. The
images and component parts may be adversely affected or the camera may not function correctly.
• Do not open the case of the camera, unless it is absolutely necessary for setup or installation
because there are precision electrical and electronic components inside and accident may result.
• Do not put anything metallic or other foreign substances into the dome, as a fire or electric
shock may result.
• Be sure to turn off the power before installing or making connections.
• Do not install the camera in places exposed to heat, vibrations and shocks.
• Be careful not to drop or give a strong shock to the camera while transporting it.
• Do not touch the image sensor.
• Do not orientate the camera directly towards the sun.
* Because of the digital image device characteristics, images may look unnatural at high
temperatures, this does not mean the camera is faulty.

1. General
This high speed, Pre-set, Day/night IP PTZ camera is provided with a 1/4-inch high performance
IT CCD sensor. The camera comes equipped with built-in JPEG 2000 engine and Web server for
IP network. JPEG 2000 image compression and de-compression system offers very much
improved quality and ease of use in handling video images. Not only it can provide much better
picture quality but also flexible use of video information with its scale-able function, that allows to
use different sizes, picture quality, or frame rates from one single source of video.
Also JPEG 2000 technology can show higher stability because of its design characters, against
various disturbances or interruptions in transmission line.
The camera has a built-in IP capable facility and on top of it, it also provides very high
performance of 0.005 lux high sensitivity with a BLC, back light compensation facility, a high
quality Automatic white balance function, an Electronic Sensitivity Up function, and a Wide light
dynamic performance. And also True Day/Night function with auto change-over function is built-
in.
All those valuable and useful performance and functions come in one well-built, sturdy PTZ
housing with high performance such as 420 degree per second high speed in elevation and
azimuth, with a quick One Touch Targeting facility, a flip-turn function (Bottom Flip), an useful
automatic tour function (Preset Tour), a Privacy masking function and very reliable motion
detector with high accuracy, as Algorithmic Motion Detection (patent pending*) that allows less
chance of false alarming.
This TV camera for IP networks with high PTZ performance is best suited for general
surveillance purposes within IP networks, from single camera operation to large scale integrated
systems for visual information management.
2. Features
(1) All-in-One Ergonomic High Performance PTZ camera:
This IP camera system comes with high power elevation and rotation design, and a powerful
35 time zoom lens with max.10 time digital zoom function that allows to have optimum
positioning to take good picture.
Various useful functions such as Automatic tour for Preset position function or Bottom Flip
function and the true Day/Night function makes this camera very easy to use. Improved
facilities, such as a reliable multi-algorithm Motion Detection which is highly resistant to false
alarms caused by the small movement of leaves or ripples on the surface of water.
(2) High-quality picture and high resolution:
This PTZ camera is designed for low smear imaging and low noise. The well-designed DSP,
Digital Signal Processor, effectively enhances details, which achieves crisp and sharp
images with a high signal-to-noise ratio. And various modes of Automatic Gain control (AGC)
are available to finely adjust the camera settings depending on the subject's illumination
conditions. With the AGC and a slow shutter in combination, high sensitivities of up to 0.005
lux/F1.4 for monochrome and 0.05 lux/F1.4 are achieved.

(3) JPEG 2000 and Triple Scale-able, T-sip, Streaming:
This camera system has a built-in JPEG 2000 image compression system of high efficiency
and scale-ability, and in combination in compression rates, image sizes and frame rates,
various different types of images can be selected for transmission suitable for different
monitoring purposes.
(4) HTTP protocol streaming and built-in Web server:
This camera, as with other products in the Ikegami T-Sip family, uses the HTTP protocol, this
means that the system is more resilient against virus attack and needs little change to the
firewall setting unlike other types of network cameras and encoders. This system has a web
server built-in for simple and easy networking through Internet Explorer.
(5) Reliable Motion Detection:
Multiple algorithms used for motion detection, the Algorithmic Motion Detection, means that,
false alarms from movement in an image frame, such as movement of tree leaves or ripples
on water are minimised making this system extremely reliable.
(6) Useful Alarm function:
The built-in Alarm function enhanced by reliable algorithmic motion detection is useful and
accurate which helps to minimise false alarms and also built-in pre-alarm recording facility or
mailing facility for alarm signal make this system very effective and powerful.
(7) Privacy Masking:
With a simple setup procedure, the privacy masking works for the areas in a screen which
need to be obscured, this setting remains static with the panning and tilting of the PTZ
camera’s field of view.
(8) Many Useful and Easy-to-use Facilities and Functions:
Useful facilities for PTZ camera, such as Pre-set Touring that goes to any pre-set positions as
desired in a certain sequence. One Click Targeting that makes the dome automatically
positioning the desired object in screen centre and making focus by simply pointing with PC
mouse.
And 180 degrees Bottom Flip turn function to allow the operator to follow the object directly
below the dome, are incorporated with the system.

3. Name of each section and function
3-1. Flush /Tile Mount Type
①Ethernet
For Ethernet connection. Please connect LAN cable.
It is recommended to use the Cat. (category) 5 or better LAN cable.
②Terminal block
For signal In and Out connections.
The block is standard equipped with the power input (24V), audio output (AUD), microphone
input (MIC), contact output (OUT1) and contact input (IN1) terminals. Four of the AUD, MIC,
IN1, IN2, OUT1 and OUT2 functions may also be optionally selected. You will be charged for
customization.
For details, refer to "Basic Connection (p. 5)" or "System Connection (pp. 7-9)".
*This installation should be made by a qualified service person and should conform to all
local codes.
③Camera fixing screws
Those are the screws to secure camera installation.
④INIT switch
This is the switch to go back to the factory settings (Default), when failing in loading of
firmware. (In such a case, Interface software will not go back and IP address should be reset
again) To go back to the factory settings (Default), the return software works only right after
the power ON, therefore, if you want to use this INIT switch for initializing, press and hold the
INIT switch and supply power. And keep pressing it for at least 10 seconds for initializing.

3-2. Pendant Type
①Ethernet connector

Be sure to use Cat. (category) 5 or better LAN cable.
②Terminal Block

③INIT switch
This is the switch to go back to the factory settings (Default), when failing loading of firmware.
(In such a case, Interface software will not go back and IP address should be reset again)
To go back to the factory settings (Default), the return software works only right after the
power ON, therefore, if you want to use this INIT switch for initializing, press and hold the INIT
switch and supply power. And keep pressing it for at least 10 seconds for initializing.

4. Basic Connection Power Connection
The power supply for this unit should be AC24V, depending on a supplied configuration, of at
least 25 watts capacity.
And the use of CSA Certified/UL listed Class 2 power supply is required to ensure compliance
with electrical safety regulations.

5. Basic Connection LAN cable connection
The following drawing shows a Pendant type. In this configuration, Ethernet connector is in a
pipe.
5-1. PC direct connection
Be sure to use Cat.5 or better LAN cable. And a cross-over cable should be used.
5-2. Ethernet Connection (Through HUB)
Be sure to use Cat.5 or better LAN cable. And a straight-through cable should be used.

6. System Connection 1 Contact input/output connections
6-1. Contact input/output connections for Flush/Tile Mount
Be sure the power is not applied before doing this process.
Connect the Non-voltage contact (dry contact) output or open-collector output of an external
device to the IN1 terminal. The OUT1 terminal is of open-collector output (max. 24V, 50mA) type
and requires a pull-up resistor for the contact input of an external device.
The system is standard equipped with the AUD, MIC, OUT1 and IN1 functions. Four of the AUD,
MIC, IN1, IN2, OUT1 and OUT2 functions may also be optionally selected. You will be charged
for customization.

6-2. Contact input/output connections for Pendant type
Be sure the power is not applied before doing this process.
Connect the Non-voltage contact (dry contact) output or open-collector output of an external
device to the IN1 terminal.
The system is standard equipped with the AUD, MIC and IN1 functions. Three of the AUD, MIC,
IN1, IN2, OUT1 and OUT2 functions may also be optionally selected. You will be charged for
customization.
The standard configuration of a Pendant type only provides IN1. (There is no OUT1)
(A pull-up resistor is required at OUT 1/OUT 2 as it is an open collector output of maximum load
of 24V, 50mA )

7. System Connection 2 Audio signal connection
Be sure the power is not applied before doing this process.
■Connection example drawing:

①In networking, the left click of mouse on a monitoring screen makes a sound of camera
side audible with a PC speaker while using this with the PC.
②In networking, the press talk is possible while making left click on the MIC icon on a
monitor screen if you have a connected microphone and speaker.
For details, please refer to the chapter for the sending and listening of the sound signal in the
application manual.

S1: Make a hole of about 196mm diameter (192mm~ 199mm) for camera fitting on a ceiling or
where you want to install the PTZ camera.
S2: Connect cables to the terminal block referring to the indications.
S3: Put a safety cable (short and long) on the fitting metal part with supplied screws. And after
securing protection cables on the camera side, fix the other side of the cables somewhere
secured position of the back of the ceiling.
S4: Connect the Ethernet to LAN cable. And also connect the connector A to the terminal block.
In this step, please refer to the previous pages for the name of each part and the system
connection.
S5: Insert the fitting metal into the hole on a ceiling and turn screws B(x3).
The stopper C extends and hold the position the back side of ceiling.
(Fitting range : Within a thickness of 5mm to 50mm)
Repeat the same procedure again, if you can see the stopper C from the hole K.
S6: Fix the safety cable to the hook on the upper side the camera and insert the camera so that
the markers of the camera and the fitting metal becomes correspond.
Please pay attention not to pinch the wires.
When it goes to the end and turn clockwise (direction of arrow mark) until it stops. And
secure it with fixing screw D.
Be sure that the camera is in the right position, otherwise the risk of un-secured screw
may happen. It may cause a risk of drop of the camera.
S7: Set the metal part E of the ornamental ring with the cut-out of the holder and turn the unit
clockwise. And secure it.
Be sure to secure the fixing screw. Also check if the dome cover is in a secured
position and fixed.

S1: Put the cover into the hanger pipe from the ceiling
S2: Secure the joint metal with hanger pipe with supplied 3 screws.
S3: Connect leads and cables for the power and so on referring to the instruction.
S4: Insert three screws to the joint part of the upper section of camera until it makes free turn.
This is a temporary process.
S5: Put the top cover into the hanger pipe and insert the camera unit to the joint metal with the
indicated direction and then, turn it counter-clockwise lightly pushing upwards.
S6: Secure the camera unit with screws temporary used on S4 and fit the top cover with the
camera unit.
S7: Connect cables from the camera unit to the connectors on the board in the joint metal.
There are three cables to be connected.
Each contact point has different shape and size, so that you can simply find the right
connector.
S8: Pull down the cover until the joint metal is fully covered after pushing back sticking out
cables into the hanger pipe.
Be sure the dome cover is firmly secured without fail.

9. PC Setup Setup of IP Address and Internet Explorer
Before making connection, IP address and Internet Explorer Setup of the PC must be changed
to make it identical with the PTZ camera.
The PC has to be separated from a network while doing this procedure.
9-1. IP Address setup
The IP address of the PC and the camera and the PC have to be the same to make a network
connection. To make the PC IP address correspond to the PTZ camera address, firstly
disconnect the PC from a network.
①IP address setup is made with the properties of the local area network connection. With this
screen, click the start button and click the "Control Panel".
②And then, click the "Network and Internet Connections".

③Click the "Network Connections".
④Right-click the "Local Area Connection" and click the "Properties".
⑤Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) display:
Click the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and then, click the "Properties".

⑥Click “Use the following IP address” and input the address.
* In this process, it is recommended to take a note of the original IP address of PC for later
use, as the address shall go back the original address after setting the PTZ camera IP
address.
Set the IP address at “192.168.1 ○”. In ○, number should be other than 100.
And set the subnet mask at “255.255.255.0”.
