YLEISTURVAOHJEET
Noudata aina seuraavia turvaohjeita välttääksesi tulipalon, sähköiskun tai muun loukkaantumisen
riskin. Turvallisuutta edistää terveen järjen käyttö, valppaana oleminen sekä laitteen ja sen
toiminnan tunteminen. Lue laitteeseen kiinnitetyt tarrat ja käyttöohje kokonaan läpi ja tutustu
ohjeisiin huolellisesti oppiaksesi tuntemaan laitteen käytön, rajoitukset sekä mahdolliset
vaaratekijät.
1. Pidä työskentelytila siistinä. Sekaiset työtilat saattavat aiheuttaa vaaratilanteita. Lattia ei saa olla
liukas.
2. Älä työskentele vaarallisessa ympäristössä. Laitetta saa käyttää ainoastaan kuivissa sisätiloissa
suojassa sateelta. Älä koskaan käytä laitetta helposti syttyvien nesteiden, höyryjen tai kaasujen
läheisyydessä. Huolehdi kunnollisesta työvalaistuksesta.
3. Älä päästä lapsia laitteen lähelle. Huolehdi, että muutkin ulkopuoliset pysyttelevät turvallisen
välimatkan päässä työalueelta.
4. Mikäli laitetta ei hetkeen käytetä, varastoi se kuivaan ja suljettuun paikkaan lasten
ulottumattomille.
5. Älä ylikuormita laitetta. Se suoriutuu parhaiten ja turvallisimmin tehtävästä sille tarkoitetulla
nopeudella.
6. Käytä oikeanlaista työkalua. Älä yritä väkisin tehdä laitteella sellaista työtä, johon sitä ei ole
tarkoitettu.
7. Käytä asianmukaista vaatetusta. Älä käytä väljiä vaatteita, käsineitä, solmiota, sormuksia,
rannerenkaita tai muita koruja, jotka saattavat tarttua laitteen liikkuviin osiin. Kääri pitkät hihat
kyynärpäiden yläpuolelle. Luistamattomien jalkineiden käyttö on suositeltavaa. Suojaa pitkät
hiukset esim. hiusverkolla.
8. Käytä aina hyväksyttyjä suojalaseja ja kuulosuojaimia. Myös kasvo- tai hengityssuojainta tulee
käyttää, mikäli työssä syntyy pölyä. Tavalliset silmälasit eivät korvaa suojalaseja.
9. Älä kurkottele. Seiso aina mahdollisimman hyvin tasapainossa.
10. Huolla laite säännöllisesti. Hyväkuntoinen ja puhdas laite toimii paremmin ja turvallisemmin.
Voitele liikkuvat osat ja vaihda lisävarusteet tarvittaessa. Tarkista laitteen johtojen ja
jatkojohtojen kunto säännöllisesti ja vaihda tai korjauta vaurioituneet johdot sähköalan
ammattilaisella. Kädensijat eivät saa olla märät, likaiset tai rasvaiset.
11. Poista jakoavaimet ja ruuviavaimet laitteesta. Ota tavaksi jo ennen käynnistystä tarkistaa, ettei
laitteeseen ole esim. säätöjen yhteydessä jäänyt jako- tai ruuviavaimia.
12. Vältä tahatonta käynnistystä. Irrota johto pistorasiasta aina kun laitetta ei käytetä sekä
säätötoimenpiteiden, huollon ja osien vaihdon ajaksi. Varmista, että laitteen kytkin on OFF-
asennossa ennen kuin työnnät pistokkeen pistorasiaan. Älä koskaan kanna laitetta sormi
virtakytkimellä.
13. Keskity työhön. Laitetta ei saa koskaan käyttää väsyneenä, sairaana tai alkoholin, huumeiden,
lääkkeiden tai muiden havainto- ja reaktiokykyyn vaikuttavien aineiden vaikutuksen alaisena.
14. Ennen kuin aloitat työn, tarkista ettei mikään osa ole vaurioitunut vaan toimii moitteettomasti.
Liikkuvien osien tulee olla oikeassa linjassa. Vaurioituneet osat voivat aiheuttaa vaaratilanteen.
Korjauta tai vaihdata osat välittömästi valtuutetussa huoltoliikkeessä. Älä koskaan käytä laitetta
mikäli sen virtakytkin on epäkunnossa.
15. Käytä ainoastaan alkuperäisvaraosia ja -lisävarusteita. Muunlaisten osien käyttö saattaa
aiheuttaa henkilövahinkoja.
16. Älä koskaan jätä laitetta käyntiin ilman valvontaa. Sammuta laitteesta virta äläkä lähde sen luota
ennen kuin se on täysin pysähtynyt.
17. Pidä suojukset paikoillaan ja toimintakuntoisina.
18. Säilytä käyttöohjeet myöhempää tarvetta varten.

ERITYISTURVAOHJEET
1. Irrota laite virtalähteestä aina ennen huoltotoimenpiteitä tai, kun vaihdat hiomakiveä tai
suojuksia tms.
2. Vaihda haljennut tai muuten vaurioitunut hiomakivi välittömästi.
3. Käytä aina laitteen suojuksia.
4. Tarkista työkalutukien ja suojusten säädöt.
5. Älä kiristä hiomakiven mutteria liian kireälle.
6. Hiomakiven ja työkalutuen väli on oltava enintään 1,6 mm, sillä hiomakivi pienenee
kuluessaan.
7. Käytä aina hiomakiveä, joka sopii laitteen nopeudelle.
8. Varmista, että hiomakivi pääsee pyörimään vapaasti ennen kuin kytket laitteen päälle.
9. Seiso laitteen vieressä, kun käynnistät sitä. Älä seiso laitteen edessä.
10. Anna uuden hiomakiven pyöriä noin minuutin ennen kuin aloitat työskentelyn varmistaaksesi
sen kunnon.
11. Älä koskaan käytä laitetta ilman sen silmäsuojusta.
12. Älä yritä käyttää hiomakiveä työkappaleen leikkaamiseen.
13. Älä ylikuormita laitetta.
14. Pyöristä kiven terävät kohdat hiomalaikan pyöristimellä.
15. Silmäsuojuksen kannattimen ja hiomakiven väli saa olla enintään 1,6 mm.
KOKOAMINEN
Kokoa silmäsuojukset, silmäsuojuksen kannattimet ja työkalutuet ruuvein. Työkalutuet ja
silmäsuojuksien kannattimet saavat olla enintään 1,6 mm hiomakivestä. On suositeltavaa kiinnittää
hiomakone kiinni alustaansa.
KÄYTTÖ
1. Anna laitteen saavuttaa täysi nopeus ennen kuin aloitat hiomisen.
2. Silmäsuojukset tulee säätää niin, että käyttäjällä on esteetön näkyvyys suojan läpi.
3. Säädä työtukea löytääksesi oikean hiontakulman. Hiomakivi kuluu käytön aikana, joten työtuen
säädöt tulee tarkistaa säännöllisesti. Työtuen ja hiomakiven väli saa olla enintään 1,6 mm.
HIOMAKIVEN VAIHTO
Noudat seuraavia ohjeita:
1. Irrota laite virtalähteestä.
2. Irrota kotelo molemmilta puolin.
3. Pitele hiomakivestä tukevasti kiinni ja irrota mutteri ja laippa akselista kiintoavaimella.
Vasemmanpuoleisen kiven mutterissa on vasen kierre ja oikeanpuoleisessa oikea kierre.
4. Irrota vanha hiomakivi ja vaihda se uuteen.
5. Kiinnitä laippa, mutteri ja kotelo.
6. Anna hiomakiven pyöriä noin minuutin ajan ennen työn aloittamista varmistaaksesi, että se ei
heittelehdi vaan pyörii tasaisesti.

1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches invite accidents. Floor must not be slippery.
2. Do not use the machine in dangerous environment. Only use the machine in a dry, indoor place
protected from rain. Never use the machine near flammable liquids, vapours or gases. Keep
work area well lit.
3. Keep children away. All visitors should be kept at a safe distance from work area.
4. When not in use, store the tool in a dry, locked-up place, out of reach of children.
5. Do not force the machine. It will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was
designed.
6. Use the right machine. Do not force the machine or attachments to do a job it was not designed
to do.
7. Wear proper apparel. Do not wear loose clothing, gloves, neckties, rings, bracelet or other
jewellery, which may get caught in moving parts. Roll long sleeves above the elbow. Non-slip
footwear is recommended. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair.
8. Always wear approved safety glasses and hearing protectors. Also use face or dust mask if the
sanding operation is dusty. Everyday eyeglasses only have impact resistant lenses, they are not
safety glasses.
9. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
10. Maintain the machine regularly. Keep the machine clean for best and safest performance.
Follow instructions for lubrication and changing accessories. Inspect cords periodically and if
damaged, have them repaired by authorised service centre. Keep handles dry, clean and free
from oil and grease.
11. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Form the habit of checking to see that keys and adjusting
wrenches are removed from the machine before turning it on.
12. Reduce the risk of unintentional starting. Disconnect the machine always when not in use,
before adjusting or servicing and when changing accessories. Make sure switch is in OFF-
position before plugging it in.
13. Stay alert. Do not use the machine when you are tired, sick or under the influence of alcohol,
drugs, medication or similar that could affect your ability to use the machine safely.
14. Before use, check that no part is damaged. Have damaged parts immediately repaired or
replaced by an authorised service centre to avoid accidents. Check the alignment of moving
parts. Never use the machine if the ON/OFF-switch does not work properly.
15. Use only original spare parts and accessories. The use of any other spare parts or accessories
than original parts may cause a risk of injury.
16. Never leave the machine running unattended. Turn power off and do not leave the machine until
it comes to a complete stop.
17. Keep guards in place and in working order.
SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Disconnect the tool before servicing or changing the wheel or covers.
2. Replaced cracked or damaged wheel immediately.
3. Always use guards and eye shields.
4. Ensure tool rests and eye shield are properly adjusted.
5. Do not over tighten wheel nut.
6. Adjust distance between wheel and tool rest to maintain 1,6 mm or less separation as the
diameter of the wheel decreases with use.
7. Use grinding wheel suitable for the speed of the grinder.
8. Ensure grinding wheels rotate freely before switching on the power.
9. Stand beside the bench grinder when switching on the power; do not stand in front of the
grinder.
10. Allow a new grinding wheel to rotate for one minute prior to use to ensure it is in good
condition.

11. Don’t operate the grinder with the wheel guard off.
12. Don’t use the grinder wheel for cutting purposes.
13. Do not overload the grinder.
14. Use a wheel dresser to remove burrs from the wheel.
15. Maintain a distance between the spark breaker and the grinding wheel of less than 1,6 mm.
ASSEMBLY
Assemble the eye shields, spark breakers and tool rests using the screws etc. provided. Be sure to
position both the tool rests and spark breakers no more than 1,6 mm from the edge of the grinding
wheel.
It is advisable to secure the grinder to the workbench or stand.
OPERATION
1. After switching the grinder on, allow it to reach full speed before commencing grinding.
2. The eye shields can be adjusted and should be positioned to allow the operator a clear view of
the work through the shields.
3. The appropriate adjustments of the tool rests will provide the correct working angle for efficient
grinding. As the diameter of the wheel is subject to wear, it will be necessary to re-adjust the
tool rest positions to maintain the correct gap of less than 1,6 mm with the edge of the wheel.
CHANGING THE GRINDING WHEELS
To renew change the grinding wheels, follow this series of steps:
1. Disconnect the power supply cord.
2. Remove both of the outside covers.
3. Holding the grinding wheel firmly, remove the nut and flange from the shaft with a spanner.
Note that the left wheel nut has left hand thread and the right wheel has a right hand thread.
4. Remove the old wheel and replace it with the new wheel.
5. Reassemble the flange, nut and outside covers.
6. Allow the grinder to run for one minute to ensure the grinding wheel is not out of balance before
commencing any grinding work.
