1 INTRODUCTION
Important information: Read the manual carefully before using the device.
Inappropriate utilization may cause damage to the device, to the DUT (device under test) and/or
other components of your setup.
Keep these instructions in a safe place and pass them to any future user.
1.1 Intended use
Camera positioning system (for CAL3-XL and LE7) based on a freely movable, hydraulically
lockable arm mounted on an adjustable slider that moves along the z-axis. It allows quick and
easy positioning of the DUT in 3D space. Fix the end position with the locking wheel.
•Only suitable for indoor use.
1.2 Product variants
Due to its adjustable connecting-rings, the iQ-Align is suitable for:
•CAL3-XL
•LE7
1.3 Foreseeable misuse
1.3.1 Stuck joints
If the arm moves only when using a lot of force, try to further loosen the locking wheel or check
the joints for dirt or debris.

2 GETTING STARTED
2.1 Scope of delivery

2.2 Commissioning
2.2.1 Setup instructions for CAL3-XL / LE7
The iQ-Align XL has two adjustable locking rings on the wider end of its frame that fit around the
front feet of the CAL3-XL / LE7. Please make sure that the distance of the locking rings to one
another matches up with the distance of the CAL3-XL / LE7 feet. To adjust the distance, loosen
the M8 screw of the locking ring and move it along the frame. When the locking ring is
positioned correctly, tighten the screw again. Please ensure the locking rings are positioned
symmetrically around the center axis of the iQ-Align XL.
To attach the iQ-Align XL to the CAL3-XL / LE7 you now only need to slightly lift the front feet
up, slide the locking rings of the iQ-Align XL under them and carefully lower the feet into them.

3 HARDWARE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 Camera positioning
Mount the DUT on the mounting bracket of the iQ-Align XL. You can use the attached ¼” screw
or any other screw up to a diameter of 6.5 mm.
To position the DUT, loosen the locking wheel and manually guide the DUT to the desired
position. To secure the DUT at its new position, simply tighten the locking wheel again.
In addition to the range of the hydraulic arm, you can move the adjustable slider along the z-
axis. The slide is adjusted in a similar way: loosen the plastic wing screw on the right-hand side
of the iQ-Align XL, then move the slide and tighten the screw again.
Attention: To avoid damaging your setup please make sure you are holding the DUT when
loosening the locking wheel, as the hydraulic arm will collapse when pressure is released.
4 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
4.1 Disposal instructions
After the service life of iQ-Align XL, it must be disposed of properly. Observe your national
regulations. Make sure that iQ-Align XL cannot be used by third parties after disposing of it.
