Stereo-Kopfhörer-
verstärker
1Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Mit dem PPA-4 kann das Line-Ausgangssignal von
einem Audiogerät (z. B. CD-Spieler) für die Stereowie-
dergabe über bis zu vier Kopfhörer verstärkt werden.
2Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Die Geräte (Kopfhörerverstärker und Netzgerät) ent-
sprechen der EMV-Richtlinie für elektromagnetische
Verträglichkeit 89/336/EWG. Das Netzgerät entspricht
zusätzlich der Niederspannungsrichtlinie 73/23/EWG.
●Verwenden Sie die Geräte nur im Innenbereich.
Schützen Sie sie vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser, hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztempe-
raturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
●Verwenden Sie für die Reinigung nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Chemikalien oder Wasser.
Achtung! Das Netzgerät wird mit lebensgefährlicher
Netzspannung (230 V~) versorgt. Nehmen Sie des-
halb nie selbst Eingriffe in diesem Gerät vor. Durch
unsachgemäßes Vorgehen besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlages.
●Werden die Geräte zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig
angeschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht fachgerecht
repariert, kann keine Haftung für daraus resultie-
rende Sach- oder Personenschäden und keine
Garantie für die Geräte übernommen werden.
●Sollen die Geräte endgültig aus dem Betrieb genom-
men werden, übergeben Sie sie zur umweltgerechten
Entsorgung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
3Inbetriebnahme
1) Den Line-Ausgang des Audiogerätes (z. B. CD-Spie-
ler, Tape-Deck, Mischpult) an die 6,3-mm-Klinken-
buchse MAIN INPUT (3) anschließen.
2) Die Kopfhörer an die 6,3-mm-Klinkenbuchsen OUT-
PUT (5) anschließen.
3) Den Kleinspannungsstecker des Netzgerätes in die
Buchse „12 V “ (4) stecken und das Netzgerät in
eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz). Der Verstärker ist in
Betrieb und die Betriebsanzeige ON (1) leuchtet.
4) Mit den Reglern LEVEL (2) für jeden Kopfhörer die
Lautstärke separat einstellen.
Vorsicht! Nur Kopfhörer mit einem Stereo-Klin-
kenstecker anschließen. Bei Verwendung von
Mono-Steckern wird der Verstärker beschädigt.
5) Nach dem Betrieb das Netzgerät aus der Steckdose
ziehen, damit kein Strom unnötig verbraucht wird.

Vorsicht! Stellen Sie die Kopfhörerlautstärke nie
sehr hoch ein. Hohe Lautstärken können auf Dauer
das Gehör schädigen! Das menschliche Ohr ge-
wöhnt sich an große Lautstärken und empfindet sie
nach einiger Zeit als nicht mehr so hoch. Darum
eine hohe Lautstärke nach der Gewöhnung nicht
weiter erhöhen.
Stereo Headphone Amplifier
1Applications
The PPA-4 allows to amplify the line output signal of an
audio unit (e. g. CD player) for the stereo reproduction
via up to four headphones.
2Safety Notes
The units (headphone amplifier and power supply unit)
correspond to the directive 89/336/EEC for electromag-
netic compatibility. The power supply unit additionally
corresponds to the low voltage directive 73/23/EEC.
●The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against dripping water and splash water, high
air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).
●For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.
●No guarantee claims for the units and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage

hazardous mains voltage (230 V~). Leave servicing to
skilled personnel only. Inexpert handling may cause an
electric shock hazard.

3Setting into Operation
1) Connect the line output of the audio unit (e. g. CD
player, tape deck, mixer) to the 6.3 mm jack MAIN
INPUT (3).
2) Connect the headphones to the 6.3 mm jacks OUT-
PUT (5).
3) Connect the low voltage plug of the power supply unit
to the jack “12 V ” (4) and the power supply unit to
a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz). The amplifier is in
operation and the power LED ON (1) lights up.
4) With the controls LEVEL (2) adjust the volume sepa-
rately for the individual headphones.
Caution! Never adjust a very high headphone
volume. Permanent high volumes may damage your

1Possibilités d’utilisation
Avec le PPA-4, le signal de sortie Ligne d’un appareil
audio (par exemple lecteur CD) peut être amplifié pour
une restitution stéréo via quatre casques au plus.
2Conseils d’utilisation et de sécurité
Les appareils (amplificateur casque et bloc secteur)
répondent à la norme européenne 89/336/CEE, rela-
tive à la compatibilité électromagnétique. Le bloc sec-
teur répond en plus à la directive 73/23/CEE sur les
appareils basse tension.
●Les appareils ne sont conçus que pour une utilisation
en intérieur. Protégez-les des projections d’eau et
éclaboussures, d’une humidité élevée et de la cha-
leur (plage de température de fonctionnement auto-
risée 0 – 40 °C).
●Pour les nettoyer, utilisez uniquement un chiffon sec
et doux, en aucun cas de produits chimiques ou d’eau.

3Fonctionnement
1) Reliez la sortie Ligne de l’appareil audio (par exem-
ple lecteur CD, magnétophone, table de mixage) à la
prise jack 6,35 MAIN INPUT (3).
2) Reliez les casques aux prises jack 6,35 OUTPUT (5).
3) Mettez la fiche basse tension du bloc secteur dans la
prise “12 V ” (4) et reliez le bloc secteur à une prise
secteur 230 V~/50 Hz. L’amplificateur est en fonc-
tion, la LED ON (1), témoin de fonctionnement brille.
4) Avec les réglages LEVEL (2) réglez séparément le
volume pour chaque casque.
Attention! Ne reliez que des casques dotés d’une
prise jack stéréo. Si vous utilisez des fiches mono,
l’amplificateur sera endommagé.
5) Après le fonctionnement, débranchez le bloc secteur
de la prise secteur pour éviter toute consommation
inutile de courant.

Attention! Ne réglez jamais le volume trop fort.
Des volumes extrêmement élevés peuvent endom-
mager, à la longue, l’ouïe. L’oreille humaine s’habi-
tue à des volumes élevés et, après un certain
temps, ne les perçoit plus de la même manière.
C’est pourquoi n’augmentez pas le volume une fois
que vous y êtes habitué.

volumes which do not seem to be that high any
more after some time. Therefore, do not further
increase a high volume which has once been ad-
justed after getting used to it.

Amplificatore stereo per cuffia
1Possibilità d’impiego
Con il PPA-4 è possibile amplificare il segnale d’uscita
Line di una apparecchio audio (p. es. di un lettore CD)
per la riproduzione stereo su un massimo dei quattro
cuffie.
2Avvertenze di sicurezza
Gli apparecchi (amplificatore per cuffie e alimentatore
rete) sono conformi alla direttiva CE 89/336/CEE sulla
compatibilità elettromagnetica. L’alimentatore rete è
conforme in più alla direttiva 73/23/CEE per apparecchi
a bassa tensione
●Far funzionare gli apparecchi solo all’interno di locali.
Proteggerli dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli spruzzi
d’acqua, da alta umidità dell’aria e dal calore (tempe-
ratura d’impiego ammessa fra 0 e 40 °C).
●Per la pulizia usare solo un panno morbido, asciutto;
non impiegare in nessun caso prodotti chimici o acqua.
Attenzione! L’alimentatore rete funziona con tensione
di rete di 230 V~. Non intervenire mai al suo interno; la
manipolazione scorretta può provocare delle scariche
pericolose.
●Nel caso d’uso improprio, di collegamenti sbagliati, di
impiego scorretto o di riparazione non a regola d’arte
degli apparecchi, non si assume nessuna respon-
sabilità per eventuali danni consequenziali a persone
o a cose e non si assume nessuna garanzia per gli
apparecchi.
●Se si desidera eliminare gli apparecchi definitiva-
mente, consegnarli per lo smaltimento ad un’istitu-
zione locale per il riciclaggio.
3Messa in funzione
1) Collegare l’uscita Line dell’apparecchio audio (p. es.
lettore CD, tape-deck, mixer) con la presa jack
6,3 mm MAIN INPUT (3).
2) Collegare le cuffie con le prese jack 6,3 mm OUT-
PUT (5).
3) Inserire la spina per alimentazione DC dell’alimenta-
tore nella presa “12 V ” (4) ed inserire l’alimentatore
in una presa di rete (230 V~/50 Hz). L’amplificatore è
ora in funzione e la spia di funzionamento ON (1)
rimane accesa.
Attenzione! Impiegare solo cuffie con jack stereo.
Nel caso di jack mono, l’amplificatore subirà dei
danni.
4) Con i regolatori LEVEL (2) è possibile impostare il
volume per ogni cuffia separatamente.
5) Dopo il funzionamento staccare l’alimentatore dalla
presa di rete per non consumare inutilmente della
corrente.

Attenzione! Mai tenere molto alto il volume delle
cuffie. A lungo andare, il volume eccessivo può pro-
curare danni all’udito! L’orecchio si abitua agli alti
volumi e dopo un certo tempo non se ne rende più
conto. Non aumentare il volume successivamente.

1Aplicaciones
El PPA-4 permite amplificar la señal de salida de línea
de una unidad de audio (ej. reproductor de CD) para la
reproducción estéreo vía 4 auriculares como máximo.
2Consejos de utilización y de seguridad
Los aparatos (amplificador de auriculares y alimenta-
dor) responden a la norma 89/336/CEE referente a la
compatibilidad electromagnética. El alimentador adicio-
nalmente responde a la norma 73/23/CEE relativa a los
aparatos de baja tensión.
●Estos aparatos están concebidos solamente para
una utilización en interiores. Protegerlos de todo tipo
de proyecciones de aguas, de las salpicaduras de
agua, de la humedad y del calor (temperatura
ambiente 0 – 40 °C).
●Para limpiarlo, utilizar un trapo seco y blando, en
ningún caso, productos químicos o agua.
¡Atención! El alimentador usa alto voltaje (230 V~). No
tocar nunca el interior del aparato. En caso de una mala
manipulación podrá sufrir una descarga eléctrica mortal.
●Declinamos cualquier responsabilidad en caso de
daños materiales o corporales resultandos si los apa-
ratos se utilizan por cualquier otro fin que no sea el
adecuado, no están conectados, utilizados o repara-
dos correctamente por una persona habilitada; por
estos mismos motivos carecería todo tipo de garantía.
●Una vez los aparatos son retirados definitivamente del
servicio, debe depositarse en una fábrica de reciclaje
adaptada para su eliminación no contaminante.
3Funcionamiento
1) Conectar la salida de línea de la unidad de audio (ej.
reproductor de CD, lector de cassettes, mezclador)
a la toma jack de 6,3 mm MAIN INPUT (3).
2) Conectar los auriculares a las tomas OUTPUT (5).
3) Conectar la toma de bajo voltaje del alimentador a la
toma “12 V ” (4) y el alimentador a la toma principal
de corriente de 230 V~/50 Hz. El amplificador está
en funcionamiento y el LED ON (1) se ilumina.
4) Con los potenciómetros LEVEL (2) ajustar el volu-
men separadamente para cada auricular.
¡Precaución! Sólo conectar auriculares con una
toma estéreo. Si se utilizan tomas mono, el ampli-
ficador será dañarse.
5) Después del funcionamiento desconectar el alimen-
tador de la toma principal de manera que no exista
un consumo innecesario.

¡Precaución! Nunca ajustar un volumen de los auri-
culares muy alto. Volúmenes muy altos y permanen-
tes pueden dañar el oído! El oído humano se acos-
tumbra a los volúmenes altos de forma que luego
parecen más bajos. Así que, no ajustar un volumen
elevado que ha sido ajustado anteriormente.

1Zastosowanie
PPA-4 służy do wzmocnienia sygnału liniowego (np. z
odtwarzacza CD) i zasilenia nim do czterech słucha-
wek stereofonicznych.
2Środki ostrożności
Urządzenie (wzmacniacz słuchawkowy oraz zasilacz)
jest zgodne z wymaganiami normy o zgodności elek-
tromagnetycznej 89/336/EEC oraz normy dotyczącej
urządzeń niskonapięciowych 73/23/EEC.
●Urządzenie jest przeznaczone tylko do użytku
wewnątrz pomieszczeń. Należy chronić przed
dostaniem się jakiejkolwiek cieczy do środka urzą-
dzenia, dużą wilgotnością oraz ciepłem (tempera-
tura otoczenia powinna wynosić od 0– 40°C).
●Do czyszczenia należy używać tylko suchej,

3Przygotowanie do pracy
1) Podłączyć wyjście liniowe urządzenia audio (np.
odtwarzacz CD, magnetofon, mikser) do wejścia
typu duży jack 6,3 mm MAIN INPUT (3).
2) Podłączyć słuchawki do gniazd wyjściowych OUT-
PUT (5).
3) Podłączyć wtyk zasilacza do gniazda wzmacniacza
“12 V ” (4), a następnie zasilacz do sieci
(230 V~/50 Hz). Zapali się wskaźnik ON (1), wzmac-
niacz jest gotowy do pracy.
Uwaga! Podłączać jedynie słuchawki z wtykami
stereofonicznymi. Podłączanie wtyków mono
może spowodować uszkodzenie wzmacniacza.
4) Za pomocą regulatorów LEVEL (2) ustawić osobno
dla każdego z wyjść odpowiednią głośność.
5) Po zakończeniu pracy, odłączyć zasilacz z sieci.

Uwaga! Nigdy nie ustawiać bardzo dużej
głośności! Stały, bardzo wysoki poziom dźwięku
może uszkodzić narząd słuchu. Ucho ludzkie
adaptuje się do dużych głośności, które po
pewnym czasie nie są już percepowane jako wyso-
kie. Dlatego też, nie wolno przekraczać raz już
ustawionego maksymalnego poziomu głośności.
