IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed
including the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put appliance, cord or plug in
water or other liquid.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
4. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking o parts, and
before cleaning.
5. Avoid contacting moving parts.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or aer the appliance
malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to
the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
7. The use of attachments, including cups, not recommended by the manufacturer
may cause re, electric shock or a risk of injury.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
11. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
12. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutting blade on base without rst
putting bowl properly in place.
13. Do not attempt to defeat the cover interlock mechanism.

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

GETTING STARTED
Prior to using your coffee mill for the first time, you should wipe the hopper with a
damp cloth. Place the coffee mill on a level surface and on your kitchen counter, and
plug into an AC outlet with the correct voltage.
Since the coffee mill is not designed to be used with previously ground coffee, you
should have already purchased coffee beans, and you should have them ready. To
keep the beans fresh, you should pour them into an airtight container after they are
brought home.
The coffee mill is not designed to hold more than 1 ounce of beans, so using a kitchen
scale, weigh out the proper amount, and then put the beans into a utensil for the
purpose. Take note of the amount in terms of volume; you will typically be weighing
out just over 1/8 of a cup, and there are 2 ounce cups that are sold in the store that
can be used in the future for this purpose. You can also use 3 ounce cups, provided
that you do not fill them to the top.
USING THE COFFEE MILL
• Remove the mill cover.
• Pour the desired quantity of coee beans into the mill well, being careful not to
exceed 1 ounce, or more specically, 26 grams.
• Place the cover back on the mill. Note: the mill will not work without its cover
and/or if it is not seated properly.
• To start the mill, press the on/o button at 5-10 second intervals, until you have
obtained the desired level of neness. For coarse grinds, grind between 5 and 10
seconds; for ne grinds, 10 to 15 seconds.
• Aer grinding, wait until the blades stop before removing the cover.
• Remove the cover to pour out the ground coee into your coee machine
basket.
• Note that there will be some residual ground coee remaining in the coee
well. If you are using the coee mill daily, you can leave that ground coee
there under its airtight cover. However, if you are not going to be using the mill
for a long period of time, and you want to clean the mill before the next use,
disconnect the mill from the outlet, and then, using a damp cloth or paper
towel, wipe the well.
• Aer usage, if you don’t want the mill to remain on the counter, unplug the
device and re-wind the cord into the cord collector.

TROUBLESHOOTING
THE MILL DOES NOT RUN WHEN SWITCHED ON:
1. First, ensure that the cover has been correctly seated. If it is not been, the mill
will not operate. If you have determined that the cover has been correctly
seated, go to the next step.
2. The electrical power may have been shut o to that wall outlet. In some cases,
this could be due to a circuit breaker or fuse being disabled, or, in other cases,
there are wall switches that control power to outlets that could have been
moved by mistake. To see if power is going to be wall outlet, you can plug
another appliance into the outlet, or, alternatively, you could plug the mill into a
dierent outlet that you know is functioning. If the power is going to the outlet,
go to the next step.
3. Unplug the unit, then check the cable to make sure that it is not been severed
and that is still correctly attached to the mill. If the cable is ne, go to the next
step.
4. Contact Courant Technical Support.
THE MILL IS OPERATING NORMALLY, BUT STOPS ABRUPTLY:
1. Immediately turn o the mill. A foreign object, such as a pebble, green unroasted
coee bean, or even a twig, may have jammed the blades.
2. Unplug the mill from the outlet.
3. Remove the cover, and try to dislodge any found objects. If you are successful,
plug the mill back into the outlet, and resume writing your coee.
THE GRIND IS NOT FINE ENOUGH OR COARSE ENOUGH:
1. Adjust the amount of time for the grinding process.
THE MILL IS ABNORMALLY LOUD OR MAKES STRANGE SOUNDS WHEN
GRINDING:
1. In normal operation, the process of running a motor and grinding coee is
inherently loud. However, if the mill is louder than normal or makes strange
sounds, stop grinding, remove the mill from the wall outlet, remove the cover,
and check to see if foreign objects are being ground.

Courant™ warrants this product against defects in
material and workmanship to the original purchaser
as specied below. Please be sure that the product is
registered online within fourteen (14) days of purchase.
PARTS – if the product is determined to have a
manufacturing defect, within a period of one
(1) year from the date of the original purchase,
Courant™ will repair or replace the product parts
at no charge (for parts) to consumers in the
U.S.A. and Canada.
LABOR – if the product is determined to have a
manufacturing defect, within a period of ninety
(90) Days from the date of the original purchase,
Courant™ will repair or replace the product at no
charge to consumers in the U.S.A. and Canada.
Aer ninety (90) days, it will be the responsibility
of the consumer.
Shipping costs to and from our warranty service center
are the sole responsibility of the consumer.
To obtain warranty service by an authorized Courant™
service center, please email us at: service@ courantusa.
com to obtain a Repair and Maintenance Authorization
(RMA) number and to locate the Warranty Service
Center nearest you. Once authorized, you must mail the
product to the authorized Courant™ service center in its
original product packaging materials or equivalent, to
prevent damage while in transit.
Further, should Courant™ determine that the product is
outside of the Warranty terms, Courant™ will return the
product to sender at sender’s expense without being
repaired or replaced, unless authorized by the consumer
to service the out-of-warranty product at consumer’s
expense. All handling or restocking charges for returns
and/or replacements shall be non-refundable.
Courant™ specically excludes from this warranty any
non-electric/mechanical attachments, accessories, and
disposable parts including, but not limited to, outside
case, connecting cables, batteries, and AC adapters.
Courant™ reserves the right to repair or replace defective
products with the same, equivalent, or newer models.
We reserve the right to either repair or replace product
at our discretion. Replacement may be either new or
refurbished and while every endeavor will be made
to ensure it is the same model, if same model is not
available, it will be replaced with a model of equal or
higher specication.
Normal “Wear and Tear” is not covered by this, or any
other, warranty. Further, Courant™ hereby reserves
the right to determine “Wear and Tear” on any and all
products. Tampering or opening the product casing or
shell will void this warranty in its entirety.
In addition, this warranty does not apply if the product
has been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, or
misapplication; has been altered or modied without
the written permission of Courant™; has been serviced
by a non-authorized repair center of Courant™; has not
been properly maintained or operated according to the
operation manual; has been used for commercial, non-
household purposes; has been cosmetically damaged;
was not imported by Courant™; was not manufactured
according to specication of the United States market;
was damaged due to improper installation or neglect
by the consumer; was damaged due to improper
packaging in shipment to the Warranty Service Center;
was damaged due to natural disasters; or if the serial
number for the product has been removed or defaced.

WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR
A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO

Antes de usar su molino de café por primera vez, debe limpiar la tolva con un paño
húmedo. Coloque el molino de café en una superficie nivelada de la encimera de su
cocina, y conéctelo a un tomacorrientes AC con el voltaje adecuado.
Ya que el molino de café no está diseñado para ser utilizado con café que ya ha
sido molido, usted debe comprar granos de café y debe tenerlos a la mano. Para
conservar los granos frescos colóquelos en un contenedor hermético después de
llevarlos a su casa.
El molino de café no está diseñado para manejar más de 1 onza de café, de modo
que utilice una báscula de cocina para pesar la cantidad adecuada y luego coloque
los granos en el utensilio para tal propósito. Tome nota de la cantidad en términos
de volumen; normalmente deberá estar pesando un poco más de 1/8 de taza y en las
tiendas existen tazas medidoras de dos onzas que pueden usarse a futuro para este
propósito. También puede utilizar tazas medidoras de 3 onzas, considerando que no
las llene hasta el tope.

molido más no, de 10 a 15 segundos.
• Después de moler, espere a que las cuchillas se detengan antes de retirar la
tapa.
• Retire la tapa para verter el café molido en la cesta de su cafetera.
• Tome en cuenta que quedarán algunos residuos del café molido en el pozo
del molino. Si lo está utilizando a diario, puede dejar esos residuos con la tapa
hermética del molino puesta. Sin embargo, si el molino no va a ser utilizado por
largo tiempo y desea limpiar el molino antes del próximo uso, desconéctelo del
tomacorrientes, y después, usando un paño o toalla de papel húmeda, limpie el
molino.
• Después de usarlo, si no desea que el molino se quede en la encimera,
desconecte el dispositivo y rebobine el cable dentro del colector del cable.

SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
EL MOLINO NO FUNCIONA CUANDO SE PRENDE EL INTERRUPTOR:
1. Primero, asegúrese que la cubierta está asentada correctamente. Si no es
así, el molino no funcionará. Si está seguro de que la tapa está asentada
correctamente, vaya al siguiente paso.
2. El suministro eléctrico puede haberse suspendido en ese tomacorrientes, en
algunos casos se puede deber a que no funciona el corta circuitos o el fusible,
en otros casos, hay interruptores que controlan el suministro de energía de los
tomacorrientes y pudieron haber sido apagados por error. Para saber si hay
suministro eléctrico en el tomacorrientes, conecte otro electrodoméstico o
también puede conectar el molino en otro tomacorrientes para saber si está
funcionando. Si hay suministro eléctrico en el tomacorrientes, vaya al siguiente
paso.
3. Desconecte la unidad, revise que el cable no ha sido dañado y está rmemente
conectado al molino. Si el cable está bien, vaya al siguiente paso.
4. Entre en contacto con Soporte Técnico de Courant.
EL MOLINO FUNCIONA NORMALMENTE, PERO DE REPENTE SE DETIENE:
1. Apague de inmediato el molino. Posiblemente algún objeto extraño, como una
piedrita, un grano verde no tostado, o incluso alguna ramita puede estar
atorada en las cuchillas.
2. Desconecte el molino del tomacorrientes.
3. Retire la tapa y trate de desatorar cualquier objeto que haya encontrado.
Si lo logra, conecte nuevamente el molino en el tomacorriente y continúe
moliendo café.
EL MOLIDO NO ES LO SUFICIENTEMENTE FINO O GRUESO:
1. Ajuste la cantidad de tiempo del proceso de molido.
EL MOLINO ESTA SIENDO ANORMALMENTE RUIDOSO O HACE RUIDOS EX-
TRAÑOS CUANDO MUELE:
1. Durante una operación normal, el proceso de poner en funcionamiento un
motor y moler café es inherentemente fuerte. Sin embargo, si el molino es más
ruidoso que lo normal o hace ruidos extraños, detenga el molino, desconéctelo
del tomacorrientes, retire la tapa, y revise si hay objetos extraños atorados.

CONSIGNES IMPORTANTES
Lors de l'utilisation d'appareils électriques, des précautions de sécurité de base
doivent toujours être suivies, y compris les suivantes:
1. Lisez toutes les instructions.
2. Pour éviter tout risque de choc électrique, ne mettez pas l'appareil, le cordon
d’alimentation ou la che dans l’eau ou tous autres liquides.
3. Une surveillance étroite est nécessaire lorsque tout appareil est utilisé par des enfants ou
à proximité d'enfants.
4. Débranchez l’appareil de la prise de courant lorsqu'il n'est pas utilisé, avant d’ajouter ou
de retirer des pièces et avant de le nettoyer.
5. Évitez le contact avec les pièces amovibles.
6. Ne faites fonctionner aucun appareil avec un cordon ou une che endommagée ou après
un mauvais fonctionnement de l'appareil, une chute ou s’il est endommagé de quelque
manière que ce soit. Retournez l'appareil au service technique agréé le plus proche pour
examen, réparation ou réglage électrique ou mécanique.
7. L'utilisation d’accessoires, y compris les tasses, non recommandées par le fabricant, peut
provoquer un incendie, une électrocution ou un risque de blessure.
8. Ne pas utiliser à l'extérieur.
9. Ne laissez pas le cordon suspendu au bord de la table ou du comptoir ou touchez des
surfaces chaudes.
10. Ne placez pas sur ou près d'un brûleur à gaz ou électrique ou dans un four chaué.
11. Les lames sont tranchantes. Manipuler soigneusement.
12. Pour réduire le risque de blessures, ne jamais placer la lame de coupe sur la base sans

réduire le risque de choc électrique, cette prise ne peut être utilisée que dans une
prise polarisée. Si la fiche ne rentre pas complètement dans la prise, inversez la fiche.

DÉBUTER
Avant d'utiliser votre moulin à café pour la première fois, vous devriez essuyer la
trémie avec un chiffon humide. Placez le moulin à café sur une surface plane et
sur votre comptoir de cuisine et branchez-le dans une prise murale avec la tension
correcte.
Étant donné que le moulin à café n'est pas conçu pour être utilisé avec du café
préalablement moulu, vous devriez déjà avoir acheté des grains de café et vous
devriez les préparer. Pour garder les grains frais, vous devriez les verser dans un
récipient hermétique après leur arrivée à la maison.
Le moulin à café n'est pas conçu pour contenir plus de 1 once de grains, utilisez
une balance de cuisine, pesez la quantité appropriée, puis mettez les grains dans
un ustensile à cet effet. Prenez note du montant en volume; Vous apprécierez
généralement un peu plus de 1/8 de tasse, et il y a des tasses de 2 onces vendues
dans le magasin qui peuvent être utilisées à l'avenir à cette fin. Vous pouvez
également utiliser des tasses de 3 onces, pourvu que vous ne les remplissiez pas
complètement.
UTILISER LE MOULIN À CAFÉ
• Retirez le cache du broyeur.
• Verser la quantité désirée de grains de café dans le puits de moulin, en prenant
soin de ne pas dépasser 1 once, ou plus précisément, 26 grammes.
• Placez le couvercle sur le moulin. Remarque: le moulin ne fonctionnera pas
sans son couvercle et/ou s'il n'est pas correctement installé.
• Pour démarrer le moulin, appuyez sur le bouton marche / arrêt à des intervalles
de 5 à 10 secondes, jusqu'à ce que vous obteniez le niveau de nesse désiré.
Pour les broyages grossiers, broyer entre 5 et 10 secondes; Pour les broyages
ns, 10 à 15 secondes.
• Après le broyage, attendez que les lames s'arrêtent avant de retirer le couvercle.
• Retirez le couvercle pour verser le café moulu dans votre panier de machine à
café.
• Notez qu'il y aura du reste du café moulu restant dans le café. Si vous utilisez
le moulin à café tous les jours, vous pouvez laisser ce café moulu sous sa
couverture hermétique. Cependant, si vous n'utilisez pas le moulin pendant
une longue période et que vous souhaitez nettoyer le moulin avant l'utilisation
suivante, débranchez le moulin de la prise, puis utilisez un chion humide ou
une serviette en papier, essuyez-le le puits.
• Après l'utilisation, si vous ne voulez pas que le moulin reste sur le comptoir,
débranchez l'appareil et remettez le cordon dans le collecteur de cordon.

• Pour nettoyer le puits, utilisez un chion humide, propre et propre ou une
serviette en papier.
• N'utilisez pas de produits abrasifs, car ceux-ci sont enclins à gratter et à enlever
la brillance.
• Nettoyez l'extérieur avec une éponge humide.
