Bei die em Feature endet da Di play (z.B. LCD) über da HDMI Kabel eine
Information an die Quelle, welche Auflö ung formate e beherr cht. Die
Quelle wiederum gibt dann da höch te pa ende Format einer eit au .
(EDID = Extended Di play Indentification Data)
Wie verarbeitet die Exzellenz HDMI Switch Box 4  2 da EDID Signal wenn
zwei Di play (z.B. LCD und Beamer) mit unter chiedlichen
Auflö ung formaten ange chlo en werden?
Situation 1 – E s wird nur ein Display eingeschaltet:
Die HDMI Switch Bo

die Quelle weiter.
In die em Fall ollte zuer t da Di play mit dem geringeren
Auflö ung ver-mögen einge chaltet werden.
BEISPIEL 1:
• Di play: 576i, 720p und 1080i
• Quellen: 576i, 720p 1080i und 1080p
In die em Fall wird die Quel
le nur auf 1080i chalten da die e da höch te Format i t
welche da Di play verarbeiten kann.
BEISPIEL 2:
• Di play: 576i, 720p, 1080i und 1080p
• Quellen: 576i, 720p und 1080i
In die em Fall wird die Quelle ebenfall nur auf 1080i chalten, da ie elb t kein
höhere Format beherr cht.

Situation 2
-
Ein Display läu t bereits und das Zweite wird später
eingeschaltet:
E wird weiterhin da EDID Signal de zuer t einge chalteten Di play an die
Quelle weitergegeben und da Auflö ung format wird beibehalten.
ACHTUNG: Wenn da Di play mit dem höheren Auflö ung vermögen zuer t
einge chaltet war, kann e ein da da zweite Di play mit dem geringeren
Auflö ung vermögen kein Bild anzeigt, da e mit dem bereitge tellten höheren
Format nicht kompatibel i t!
Situation 3 - Es werden beide Displays gleichzeitig eingeschaltet:
In die em Fall hat da EDID Signal von Au gang 2 Priorität und wird an die
Quelle weitergegeben.
ACHTUNG: damit beide Di play auch ein Bild wiedergeben, mu an Au gang
2 da Di play mit dem geringeren Auflö ung vermögen ange chlo en werden

How doe the Exzellenz HDMI Switch 4  2 manage the EDID ignal when two di play (e.g. LCD
and projector) with differing re olution format are connected?
Situation 1 - only one display is switched on:
The HDMI witch relay the EDID ignal of the di play that i witched on to the ource.
Situation 2 - One display is already running and the second is switched on a terwards:
The EDID ignal of the di play witched on fir t i till relayed to the ource and the re olution
format i retained.
Caution: If the di play with the higher re olution capability i witched on fir t, it i po ible that
the econd di play with the lower re olution capability will not how any picture becau e it i not
compatible with the higher format!
In thi ca e, the di play with the lower re olution capability hould be witched on fir t.
Situation 3 -both displays are switched on at the same time:
In thi ca e, the EDID ignal from Output 2 ha priority and i relayed to the ource.
Caution: The di play with the lower re olution capability mu t be connected to Output 2 for both
di play to how a picture.
EXAMPLE 1:
• Di play: 576i, 720p and 1080i
• Source : 576i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p
In thi ca e, the ource will witch to ju t 1080i becau e thi i the highe t format that
the panel can proce .
EXAMPLE 2:
• Di play: 576i, 720p, 1080i and 1080p
• Source : 576i, 720p and 1080i

An chlu / etting up:
Bevor Sie den Exzellenz HDM
I Switch an chließen trennen Sie unbedingt
alle Geräte vom Stromnetz (Netz tecker ziehen).
1.)
Verbinden Sie die HDMI Quellengeräte mit den Eingängen IN 1
bi IN 4 (Po . 7) de Exzellenz HDMI Switch.
2.) Verbinden Sie da Anzeigegerät (Pla ma, LCD, DLP, Projektor
)
mit dem Exzellenz HDMI Switch Output 1 & 2 (Po . 6)
3.)
Verbinden Sie da mitgelieferte Netzteil mit der 5V Buch e de
Exzellenz HDMI Switch (Po . 5). Stecken Sie alle Netz tecker der
ange chlo enen Geräte und da Netzteil ein.
Für den An chlu der Geräte empfehlen wir in-aku tik HDMI Kabel.

Connect the HDMI ource device with the IN 1 to IN 4 (po . 7) input on the
Exzellenz HDMI witch.
2.) Connect the di play device (pla ma, LCD, DLP, proje
ctor) with the Exzellenz
HDMI witch output 1 & 2 (po . 6).
3.)
Connect the upplied power upply unit with the 5 V ocket on the Exzellenz
HDMI witch (po . 5). In ert all the plug of the connected device and the

We recommend in-aku tik HDMI cable for connecting up the device .
Mit der Ta te POWER ON/OFF (Po . 4) kann der Exzellenz HDMI Switch Ein-
und Au ge chaltet werden. Der Betrieb zu tand wird durch di
e rote LED
(Po . 3) angezeigt. Mit den Ta ten << und >> kann zwi chen den
Eingängen IN1 bi IN4 (Po . 7) auf und ab ge chaltet werden. Mit den
Ziffernta ten 1-
4 können die jeweiligen Eingänge IN1 bi IN4 direkt
gewählt werden. Der jeweil aktive Eingang
wird durch die ent prechende
grüne LED (Po . 2) angezeigt.

nn über die Select Ta te (Po . 4) direkt
bedient werden. Zum Ein-
bzw. Au chalten halten Sie den Ta ter
jeweil für ca. 3 Sekunden gedrückt. Durch kurze Drücken der Ta te
Select (Po . 4) können Sie die Eingänge nacheinander anwählen (1

2  3  4  zurück zu 1  2.... u w.)
Bitte beachten Sie, da nach dem Um chalten ein Moment vergehen
kann, bi da Di play ein Bild anzeigt.
