Product introduction
It allows you to connect any 3.5" or 2.5" SATA drive to your
computer for fast USB 3.0 data transfer. Back up, move or
archive your notebook or PC HDD les quickly and easily with

How to use
a. Connect your hard drive to UA1001 properly
b. Connect UA1001 with computer by USB cable
c. Connect DC power adapter with UA1001
d. Power on, lower right comer of computer will have a
mobile hardware prompt after device recognized, file
manager will also have one.
Note:
• Before the removal of the data storage device, please
stop all data access and transfer to the device, so that the
storage can be normally removed. Forced removal may
lead to damage or loss of crucial data.
• Features automatic sleep and spin-down, goes into sleep
mode automatically after 30 minutes in idle state. LED
flashes each three seconds to indicate standby, a single
access to the drive restores the operational mode.

FAQ
a. Why over 2TB hard disk couldn’t be identied by USB?
Because the maximum capacity of hard disk which
Windows XP can supports is 2TB and couldn’t be identied
by system if over 2TB. It only supports after upgrading
the operating system above Vista (64 bit) version and we
suggest changing hard disk into a GPT disk partition, or the
operating system will not support over 2 TB disk partitions.
b. Hard drive does not show up in “le manager”.
If your drives has been partitioned, please connect directly
with the UA1001 to use. It will be shown as “New Disk” in
computer. If not, in the premise of system can correctly
identify drives, you can use the partition and formatting
program come with system to reformat it.

Betrieb
a. Verbinden Sie die Laufwerke ordnungsgemäß mit dem
UA1001.
b. Verbinden Sie den UA1001 via USB-Kabel mit einem
Rechner.
c. Binden Sie das DC-Netzteil an den UA1001 an.
d. Schalten Sie den UA1001 ein. In der Statusleiste
des Betriebssystems erscheint eine Mitteilung zur
Hardwareinstallation, wenn der Adapter erkannt wurde.
Auch im Dateimanager erscheint ein Eintrag.
Achtung:
• Um das ordnungsgemäße Auswerfen Ihres Gerätes zu
gewährleisten, stellen Sie bitte vor dem Entfernen des
externen Datenträgers sicher, dass keinerlei Datenzugriff
auf den Datenträger mehr erfolgt. Erzwungenes Trennen
kann zu Beschädigungen oder Datenverlust führen.
• Der Adapter verfügt über einen automatischen Ruhemodus
und Spin Down. Der Modus wird nach 30 Minuten
Inaktivität automatisch aktiviert, wobei die LED dann
alle drei Sekunden blinkt. Ein beliebiger Zugriff auf den
Datenträgerdialog beendet den Ruhemodus.

Fragen und Antworten
a. Warum werden Laufwerke über 2 TB Kapazität nicht korrekt
aufgeführt?
Datenträger können unter 32 Bit XP per MBR nur mit einer
Maximalkapazität von 2 TB initialisiert werden. Erst eine
Aktualisierung des Systems auf Vista 64 Bit ermöglicht
eine Initialisierung per GPT, welche mehr als 2 TB
Gesamtkapazität bei Datenträgern zulassen (theoretisch bis
zu 7,4 Zetabyte). Danach kann wie gewohnt eine beliebige
Erstellung der Partitionen erfolgen.
b. Die Laufwerke werden im Dateimanager (Explorer) nicht
angezeigt.
Wenn die Datenträger bereits partitioniert sind, schließen
Sie diese bitte direkt an. Es erscheint ein neuer Eintrag mit
einem oder mehreren Laufwerken im Dateimanager. Wenn
die Einträge nicht direkt auftauchen, der Datenträger
aber zumindest in der Datenträgerverwaltung bzw. im
Festplattendienstprogramm physikalisch erkannt wird,
kann eine Initialisierung oder Neuformatierung (bei
Gehäuse- oder Adapterwechseln) des Datenträgers
erfolgen.

使用方法
a. お使いのハードディスクは UA1001 と正確に接続します。
b. そして、UA1001 はお使いの PC に接続します。
c. DC 電源アダプタを UA1001 に接続します。
d. 電源をオンにして、デバイスが認識されると、デスクトッ
プ画面右下にモバイルハードウェアのプロンプトが表示さ
れ、対応ドライブがファイルマネージャーに表示されます。
ご注意 :
• PC からエンクロージャを取り外す前に、データの読み取り
を停止してください。強制的に抜くと、メインデータが壊
れたり、無くしたりする可能性があります。
• 自動スリープとスピンダウン機能は、アイドル状態で 30
分後に自動的にスリープモードに入ります。 LED が 3 秒
ごとに 1 回点滅してスタンバイ状態になります。ドライブ
をアクセスすると、スリーブモードから復帰します。

A.2TB を超える容量のハードドライブを識別できないのはな
ぜですか？
Windows XP がサポートできるハードディスクの最大容量
は 2TB なので、2TB を超えるとシステムでは識別できませ
ん。
Vista（64 ビット）以上のオペレーティングシステムをア
ップグレードすること、またはハードディスクを GPT デ
ィスクパーティションに変更することをお勧めします。そ
うではないと、Windows XP は 2 TB 以上のディスクパーテ
ィションをサポートしません。
B. ハードドライブが「ファイルマネージャ」に表示されません。
ドライブがパーティション化されている場合は、エンクロ
ージャに直接に接続して使用できます。コンピュータに「新
しいディスク」として表示されます。ドライブがパーティ
ションされない場合は、ドライブが正しく識別される前提
で、システムに付属のパーティションとフォーマットプロ
グラムを使用してを再フォーマットしてください。
（＊フォーマットする時に、事前に必ずバックアップを取
ってください。）

Comment l’utiliser
a. Connectez votre disque dur à UA1001
b. Connectez UA1001 à l’ordinateur
c. Connectez l’adaptateur DC à UA1001
d. Une fois que le disque et l’adaptateur DC sont bien liés,
l’indicateur LED sera allumé, et une fenêtre apparaîtra au
coin en bas à droite de l’écran du PC. Et le disque apparaît
également dans la gestion des disques.
N.B.:
• Avant d’arracher votre disque dur, veuillez svp bloquer
tout accès à votre disque dur, c’est-à-dire arrêter de lire
et d’écrire pour retirer le disque dur sans dégât. Sinon,
les données dans votre disque dur seront perdues ou
endommagées.
• Ralentissement automatique et mode veille automatique.
Ce produit entrera en mode veille après 30 mins d’inactivité.
L’indicateur LED clignotera toutes les 3 secondes en ce
mode, et vous pouvez activer l’UA1001 par un simple accès
au disque dur.

FAQ
a. Pourquoi mon disque dur de plus de 2 To ne peut pas être
détecté par le PC ?
Windows XP n’est pas compatible avec des disques durs
de plus de 2 To. Il faut utiliser un système plus récent, au
moins la version Vista (64 bit). Et nous vous conseillons
de transformer le format du disque dur en GPT, sinon,
l’ordinateur ne peut pas détecter complètement ce disque
dur de plus de 2 To.
b. Le disque dur n’apparaît pas dans la « gestion des disques ».
Si votre disque a été partitionné, vous pouvez directement
l’utiliser avec UA1001. Votre disque sera reconnu comme
« Nouveau disque » par l’ordinateur. Si ce n’est pas le cas,
et si vous êtes sûr que l’ordinateur peut bien détecter des
disques, vous pouvez proter de la gestion des disques du
PC pour formater et partitionner votre disque.

• Prima di rimuovere il disco rigido, assicurarsi che l’accesso
e il trasferimento dei dati siano disattivati. Una rimozione
non corretta e/o forzata può causare il danneggiamento o
la perdita di dati importanti
• è dotato di modalità sleep e spin down automatica. La
modalità sleep si attiva dopo 30 minuti di inattività. La spia
LED si illumina ogni 30 secondi. Il dispositivo si riattiva non
appena si riaccede al drive

a. Perché un hard disk di più di 2TB non viene identificato
dall’USB?
Perché la capacità massima supporta da Windows XP è
di 2TB. Una capacità maggiore non viene identificata. È
necessario effettuare l’upgrading del sistema operativo
(superiore a Vista 64 bit). È inoltre raccomandabile
cambiare l’hard disk a una partizione GPT, altrimenti il
sistema operativo non sarà compatibile con partizioni
superiori a 2 TB
b. L’Hard drive non appare in in “File Manager”
Se è stata effettuata la partizione del drive, è sufficiente
collegare l’adattatore al computer. Comparirà come “New
Disk”. In caso contrario, è possibile usare il programma di
partizione e formattazione del computer.

Notas:
• Antes de remover el disco duro, asegurarse que el acceso
y la transferencia datos esté inactivos. Una remoción
incorrecta y/o forzada puede causar daños o pérdida de
datos importantes.
• El dispositivo tiene modo sleep y spin down automático.
Activa el modo sleep después de 30 minutos. La luz testigo
LED parpadea cada 3 segundos para indicar el estado de
reposo. El dispositivo se vuelve a activar al acceder a los
drive.

a. ¿Por qué el USB no reconoce un disco duro de más de 2TB?
La capacidad máxima compatible con el sistema Windows
XP es de 2 TB. El sistema puede reconocer una capacidad
mayor si se hace el upgrade a un sistema superior a Vista
(64 bit). Recomendamos pasar el disco duro a una partición
GPT, o el sistema no va a ser compatible con particiones
disco de 2 TB
b. El hard drive no aparece en “File manager”.
Si se hizo la partición del drive, es suficiente conectar la
carcasa al ordenador. Va a aparecer como “New Disk”. En
caso contrario, es posible usa el programa de partición y
