Detailed operating instructions for the
inPulser(1)
Turning the unit on and o
To turn the unit on and o, please briey press the buon(2) at the center of the
device. The indicator light(3) beneath it will ash blue, signaling that the inPulser
is now on. This status indicator will turn o by itself aer about 20 seconds so
that the light does not bother you at night.
Aer about 5 seconds of startup me, you can switch the device o again at any
me. To do so, briey press the on/o buon again; the LED light will glow red,
and the inPulser will be o.
Setting the proper volume
The inPulser smulates the brain with targeted acousc signals. That is why it
is so important to set your own ideal volume if you want the system to work.
Please set it at a level that you will not nd disrupve at night, when condions
are usually quieter. If your hearing is normal, we recommend the quietest seng.
A higher volume will not increase the eecveness; the default minimum volume
is enrely adequate.
To set the volume, simply press the + buon(4) to increase the volume, and use
the – buon(5), to lower the audio output. The unit will save your seng so you
do not need to reset it the next me you start it up. If you nd the sound too
loud during the night, please turn down the volume. Leave it at the same level
when you go to sleep the next night.
Using a power cord or battery
We recommend keeping the inPulser plugged in at night. That ensures it will
repeat the 90-minute sleep cycle all night long.
The power supply(6) is connected using the included USB cable(7) which in turn is
connected to the corresponding port(8) on the inPulser.

13
Fundamentally, however, it is also possible to run the inPulser on baeries. The
charging me is about ve hours, and then you can use the device for more than
20 hours without plugging it in. Please be sure to recharge the unit aer two
nights if possible. The system will not be overcharged even if you charge it for
more than ve hours.
Inserting and removing the SD card
Insert the card into the slot(9) at the
boom of the inPulser, with the beveled
corner facing forward, unl the card
clicks into place and only 1 mm is le
visible.
To remove or switch cards, you must
push the card back in so that it is relea-
sed from the locking spring and can be
pulled out.
Factory reset
You can restore the factory sengs for the inPulser by using a paperclip or similar
object to press the reset buon in the hole(10) on the back of the device. Please
be sure to turn o and unplug the device rst.

Troubleshooting
The inPulser does not turn on (no
sound)

plugged in?

you turn it on? If so, the connec-
on to the sound pillow may be
incorrect.
• The memory card may not be
inserted correctly.
The volume is too low • Increase volume by pressing the
plus buon
The volume is too high • Reduce volume by pressing the
minus buon
Music only comes out of one side of
the sound pillow

low(11) is properly connected to the
audio socket(12) on the inPulser.

Software – additional modules
Amadeus 1
The basic sleep treatment module, included in purchases and
in the test set. The 90-minute audio treatment covers the
length of the human sleep cycle and is repeated all night long
by the inPulser Healthplayer.
Amadeus 2 and 3
A er a few months, your brain will get used to the frequency
response of Amadeus 1 and will begin to ignore it. If A er two
weeks have passed without any further success, switch to the
next Sleepware – but no sooner (constantly changing cards
will have a nega ve impact on their e ec veness).
Junior
Children about 10 and up can use our sleep system exactly
the same way that adults do. However, a child’s sleep cycles
are di erent from an adult’s un l about age 17-18; that is why
we have adapted Sleepware precisely for the sleep cycles of
children and teenagers.
Napware
According to a NASA study, a short, restora ve midday nap
signi cantly improves produc vity and helps restore the body.
With the Napware module, we o er you a tool that has been
tested in large industrial companies, among other places, to
give you a brief deep-sleep phase in just 20 minutes. That way
you avoid the typical post-nap exhaus on. As a result, you are
in be er shape and have more energy to tackle the rest of
your day, and your concentra on skills will be demonstrably
improved. Also ideal for work or studying. The Infrasonics
powernapping system is now used by professional athletes to
achieve targeted performance improvements.
