Professional
Installation
Recommended

Step 1: Choose a Wall Location
Select the location on a wall where your display will be installed. The best height of
the wall mount is parallel to the eye level of a person who is sitting. Normally, the
horizontal distance of eye level is about 4' from ground level. Go through the following
list when making your choice:
• Determine the exact composition of the wall for your installation. You may need
to re-think your preferred display site in order to install your mount securely in the
wood stud locations available.
• Plan ahead. Make sure you have allowed for clearances once the display is mounted.
• Check the specications of the display for any ventilation requirements.
• Make sure the display will be readily viewable in the room where it is installed.
• Make sure the installation and viewing area is and will be free of obstacles.
• Choose a location that is neither too high nor too low for viewing.
• Choose a location that is near an AC wall outlet.
• Think about the video inputs such as DVI, VGA, PC, S-video, etc. and whether these
cables will be long enough to reach the display once it is mounted.
• Leave some room to the left and right of the installation location for adjustments
when needed.
Using your pencil, mark the location where you want to install your mount and display.
This mark will be the approximate center of the Wall Mount (1). Keep in mind that the
most desirable location may not be the safest location. Your display should hang in a
place where there is low trac and will not endanger anyone in the event of an accident.

Step 2: Install the Wall Mount (1) to the Wall
After determining the height of the wall mount and composition of your walls, use the
following installation instructions to install the wall mount to your wall – wood stud
frame, or concrete/masonry.
Wood Stud Walls:
A. Use a high quality stud nder to
locate two vertical studs nearest
where you want to install your
mount. Mark the edges of the studs
and then identify the exact stud
centers (Fig 1).
Step 3: Attach the Brackets to the Display
Important:
Use extra care during this portion of the installation. Avoid setting your display face
down if possible as it may damage the viewing surface. Protect the display surface
with a towel or blanket
Important:
Do not drill into mortar joints! Be sure to mount in solid parts at least 1" (25mm) from
the mortar lines. It is recommended to use a standard electric drill on slow to avoid
block breakage.
Fig. 3
Concrete or Masonry Wall:
A. For an accurate installation, make sure the included bubble level is at room
temperature to allow for the bubble to move freely. Place the Wall Mount (1) against
the wall in the desired location and height determined in Step 1. Level it using the
included bubble level.
B. With the help of another person, mark the holes with a pencil for securing the
mount and set the assembly aside.
C. Drill a 2" deep hole at each of the marked locations using a 10mm (3/8") masonry
bit. Remove any excess dust from the holes.
D. Insert one Anchor (K) into each hole so that it is ush with the concrete surface. A
hammer can be used to lightly tap the anchors into place if necessary.
E. With help, hold the Wall Mount back into position with the slots over the pilot holes.
Check again that it’s level. Use your socket wrench to install the Mount with the lag
screws and washers . Do not over-tighten these screws.
Fig. 4
A. Examine the back of your display. Consult your display’s manual or carefully test
the M4, M5, M6 or M8 bolts to nd the right diameter and length for your display’s
VESA mounting holes. For the correct diameter and length, you should not need to
force the bolts. If you feel any resistance, stop immediately to avoid damaging your
display and its internal components.
- If the back of your display is at and the mounting holes are ush with the surface,
you will use the shorter (12mm or 15mm) M4, M5, M6 or M8 bolts (Fig. 5a) from
the hardware kit.

adjacent 2" x 4" vertical wood studs
no more than 16" apart. These studs
must be capable of supporting the
combined weight of the mount and
the display.

B. For an accurate installation, make
sure the included bubble level is at
room temperature to allow for the
bubble to move freely. Based on
your edge and center marks, hold the
Wall Mount (1) at the desired height
as determined in Step 1. With the
help of another person, align the wall
plate slots over your left and right
stud marks and level the Mount with
the integrated bubble level. With a
pencil, mark your drilling holes in the
center of each stud through the top
and bottom plate slots in the left,
and right studs (Fig 2). Set the Mount
aside.
E. Drill a pilot hole at each marked
location using an electric or
portable drill with a 5mm (3/16") bit.
F. With help, hold the Wall Mount back
into position with the slots over
the pilot holes. Check again that
it’s level. Use your socket wrench to
install the Mount with the lag screws
and washers (Fig. 3). Do not over-
tighten these screws.
J L
Use the M8x50mm Lag Screws (J) and corresponding
Washers (L) to intall the Wall Mount (1) to the studs.
You will need to use the included Socket Wrench or
your own socket wrench with 13mm socket.
Note: If the concrete wall
is covered by a layer of
plaster or drywall. The
wall anchor must pass
completely through the
layer to rest ush with the
concrete surface (Fig. 4).

Fig. 5a Use the 12mm or 15mm M4,
M5, M6 or M8 bolts, lock
washers and square washers
for mounting brackets to
display WITHOUT spacers
Use the 35mm M5, M6 or
M8 bolts lock washers and
washers for mounting brackets
to display WITH spacers. Use
ONLY with curved or recessed
display backs or those backs
with protrusions
Fig. 5b
- If the back of your display is curved or has
a protrusion, or if the mounting holes are
recessed, you will need to use the enclosed
Spacers (M) with the longer (35mm) M5, M6
or M8 bolts (Fig. 5b) from the hardware kit.
B. Make sure that the Brackets (2 & 3) are facing up.
Examine the two brackets. When installed to the
back of your display, the large tightening knobs
should point to the outside of your display (Fig.
6a). The hooks should be positioned to grab the
rails from the top down (Fig. 6b).
Important:
Never force bolts into display as damage
may occur and NEVER use an electric drill
to secure the bolts.

Step 4: Hang the Display
A. Check that the top Rotating Locking Bar
is ipped up all of the way so that the top
rails have clearance for the brackets to
engage (Fig. 8).
Important:
You will need the assistance
of another person to lift your
display.
Fig. 8 Fig. 9

Note: Once in place, the lateral position of the
display can be adjusted by rmly grabbing both
sides of the display and carefully sliding it along
the rails.
D. Take your left and right Locking Caps and
slide them over the Rotating Locking Bar on
each side until they are snug against each
Bracket to secure (Figs. 10 and 11).
Step 5: Adjusting the Display
For up and down tilt, hold the installed display rmly at the top and bottom and gently
tilt the display up and down until you have reached your desired viewing angle. Make
sure that the Rotating Locking Bar is down and secured by the Locking Caps. The knobs
in the middle of the outside of the brackets can be tightened to secure the display.
Display Removal
Should you need to remove your display from the wall mount, slide the Left and Right
Locking Caps o from the top rail Locking Bar.
Have another person hold your display while you ip the Rotating Locking Bar up. With
your assistant, carefully lift the display o from the rails.
B. Make sure that the knobs on the side of the installed brackets have been tightened
to keep the display steady throughout installation.
B With assistance, lift the bracket-mounted display over the wall mount and then
hook the brackets over the top and bottom rails. You may need to slightly lift and
rotate the bracketed display to engage both top and bottom hooks with the rails.
Make sure that
both top and
bottom rails are
fully engaged
with all four
hooks before
releasing the
display.
C. After the display is
in position, ip the
Rotation Locking
Bar down so that
it is overlapping
each hook on top
(Fig. 9).
Fig. 10
Note: Slide the
Locking Caps all the
way to meet the Left
and Right Brackets
