HINTS FOR GREAT-TASTING COFFEE
• A clean coee maker is essential for making great-tasting
coee. Regularly clean the coee maker as specied in
the “Cleaning and Maintenance” section. Always use
fresh, cold water in the coee maker.
• Store unused coee in a cool, dry place. After opening a
package of coee, reseal it tightly and store it in a
refrigerator to maintain its freshness.
• For an optimum coee taste, buy whole coee beans
and nely grind them just before brewing.
• Do not reuse coee since this will greatly reduce the
avor. Reheating coee is not recommended as coee is
at its peak avor immediately after brewing.
• Clean the coee maker when over-extraction causes
oiliness. Small oil droplets on the surface of brewed,
black coee are due to the extraction of oil from the
coee.
• Oiliness may occur more frequently if heavily roasted
coees are used.
