Remove the cover from the back of the remote control, insert the battery as shown,
then replace the cover.

Method 1 (Better)
1 Connect the antenna to the IN (FROM ANT) jack on your converter box using a
coaxial cable.
2Connect the R AUDIO, L AUDIO, and VIDEO jacks on your converter box to the
corresponding jacks on your TV using an A/V cable. TV should be tuned to correct
video source (see your TV documentation).
3Plug the power cable into a power outlet or surge protector.
This is the preferred method for the best video and audio quality.
Method 2 (Good)
1Connect the antenna to the IN (FROM ANT) jack on your converter box
using a coaxial cable.
2Connect the OUT (TO TV) jack on your converter box to the Antenna IN jack
on your TV using a coaxial cable. Your TV must be tuned to channel 3. For best
performance with this connection, change the Audio Output option in the
Options menu to Mono. For more information, see “OPTION menu”on page 9 in
your User Guide.
3 Plug the power cable into a power outlet or surge protector.

5 Press to start the channel search. When the search is
complete, press .
6 Press or to select your time zone, then press .
7 Press to complete the setup.

2Press on the remote control.

Press or to select a menu language (English, Spanish, or
French), then press .
4 Press or to select your TV aspect ratio, then press .

4x3 is standard size
16 x 9 is widescreen
Leave the TV on channel 3 or Video Input (as determined in the
“Connect”step) and change the channel with the converter box
remote control.
