For use multi-line and KSU-less phones
In order to achieve true "hold button"
activation, we created a small module called a
TEHMA (telephone extension hold music
activator). This line-powered activator
connects between the base of your phone and
the handset cord and sends a signal down the
phone line telling the MOH 500e unit whether
or not the phone is on-hold. Only phone
extensions with a TEHMA can put a call on-
hold with the phone's hold button.
Phones without a TEHMA can put a call on-hold by pressing the
star key twice and then pressing the phone's hold button.
The MOH 500e ships with 2 TEHMAs. Additional activators can be
ordered from your reseller or from the On-Hold Plus on-line store.

The MOH 500e works with virtually all single and multi-line phones, as well
as the new, non-KSU, corded and cordless phone systems (cordless systems
require use of a head set). Just one unit provides music-on-hold capability
on one to four lines and up to 16 different phone extensions. All you need
to do is add your own audio source like a CD player, an MP3 player or other
type of digital on-hold audio player.
