Although your PX-6116 is neither complicate nor ifficult to operate, we recommen you take a few minutes to
rea this brief manual an familiarize yourself with the important information regar ing pro uct features, setup
an operation.
As with most electronic evices, we strongly recommen you retain the original packaging. In the unlikely event
the pro uct must be returne for servicing, the original packaging (or reasonable equivalent) is require .
Installation
Environment
Never place this pro uct in an environment which coul alter its performance or re uce its service life. Such
environments usually inclu e high levels of heat, ust, moisture, an vibration.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accor ance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

9. Do not efeat the safety purpose of the polarize or groun ing-type plug. A polarize plug has two bla es

1. BROADCASTING INDICATORS
The active broa casting status is in icate by its associate LED. In icators are: General, Remote 1,
Remote 2, Timer, Emergency.
2. EMERGENCY RELAY CONNECTOR
Multi-pin connection to Emergency Relay Connector on the Inter-M RG-6116 Relay Group.
3. NORMAL RELAY CONNECTOR
Multi-pin connection to Normal Relay Connector on the Inter-M RG-6116 Relay Group.
4. EMERGENCY SWITCHER CONNECTOR
Multi-pin connection to Inter-M ES-6116 Emergency Switcher.
5. REMOTE 1, REMOTE 2, SPEAKER SELECTOR CONNECTOR
Multi-pin connection to Inter-M PS-6116I Speaker Selector, for selection of 16 speakers via the Inter-M
PS-6116I Speaker Selector.
6. DC 24V INPUT CONNECTOR
Terminals for connection of 24VDC emergency power.
7. DC 24V OUTPUT CONNECTOR
Terminals for supplying 24VDC power to other connecte evices.
8. EMERGENCY PANEL CONNECTOR
Multi-pin connection to Inter-M EP-6216 Emergency Panel.
9. EXTENSION CONNECTOR
Multi-pin connection to a itional Inter-M PX-6116 units for multi-channel operation.
10. TIMER SWITCH TERMINALS
Terminals for connecting the timer switch of the Inter-M PW-6242A Timer.
11. POWER SWITCH CONNECTOR TERMINALS
Terminals for connecting the remote control of the Inter-M PD-6359 Power Distributor.

System Connections
- Disconnect AC Mains power before installation.
- Connect the Timer jack to the output of the Inter-M PW-6242A Timer.
- Connect the rear-panel power switch to the remote power switch terminal of the Inter-M
PD-6359E Power Distributor.
- Connect the Remote 1 an Remote 2 jacks to the Remote 1 an 2 outputs of the Inter-M PS-6116I Remote.
- Connect the emergency relay an the normal relay connectors to the emergency relay an the normal
relay connectors of the Inter-M RG-6116 Relay Group.
- Connect the emergency switcher connector to the emergency switcher terminal of the Inter-M ES-6116
rear panel.
- Connect the EM jack of the program input to the output of the Inter-M EP-6216 Emergency Panel.
- EMERGENCY SWITCHER CONNECTOR PINOUTS
PIN 1 ~ PIN 16: Connect pins to emergency switcher terminal of Inter-M ES-6116.
PIN 17: Connect the COM pin to COM terminal of Inter-M ES-6116.
PIN 18: Connect the FIRE SUM pin to FIRE SUM terminal
PIN 19: Connect the EM SUM pin to the EM SUM terminal of
REMOTE 1,2 ND SPE KER SELECTOR PINOUTS: EMG CONNECTOR
