1. Installation for basic program
1) Run ‘setup.exe’ to start.
When the setup screen appears (shown below), click Next(N)] button.

2) Screen display for setting installation folder.
Click Browse(R)] button to select where the program will be installed.
After selecting, click Next(N)] button.
3) Ready to install screen. Click Next(N)] button.

4) Installation screen. Please wait until the installation is completed.
5) Installation completed screen. Click Close(C)] button.
Run the program after completing the installation.

You can control the functions of the unit’s front panel via PC program provided separately however, CD EJECT,
TUNER MEMORY operation and input levels cannot be controlled. Depending on the Program Status (Server or
Client) and Equipment Level (Master or Slave) please note the controllable functions as follows:
I. SYSTEM CONNECTION
①Connect the PC to the RS-232C terminal located on the rear of the unit.
②Run the PC program.
When using for the first time following window appears, click CONFIRM] button to enter ID and
PASSWORD.
③Enter ID and Password and Click Add] to add the account (displayed on right side).
After adding an account, click OK] button to display the main window as shown, multiple accounts can be
added from account set-up functions and only the added accounts can have access to the system.
④After adding the accounts and running the program, following screen appears, enter user ID and Password
to proceed.
※NOTE: After registration, do not forget the ID and Password.

II. PREFERENCES (ENVIRONMENT) SETTING
Set the required environment for program operation.
①Environment Helper
Basic Environment Setup Menu.
• The configuration start-up screen.
Click “Start Environment Setup” button to start.
• Select Serial communication port.
COM1 is recommended, use COM2 if COM1 is
being used or is not working.
• Click NEXT >] button to proceed.

• Check for linked devices and select the total
number of devices. (ex: Master1, Slave 4  5EA)
• Click NEXT >] button.
• Select Server or Client.
If the PC works as Server Role, select the “Server”
and if the PC is connected to the Server from
remote location, select “Client” and input IP
numbers and port number (recommended 2000).
• Click NEXT >] button.
• Click the “Save Environment” button, configuration
is now complete.
• Please restart the program once the configuration
is completed.

②Account Setup
Add or Delete Account.
•Add>>: Enter ID and PW and click Add>>]
button to add the account.
• Delete<<: Select the account to Delete from the
right column and click Delete<<] button to
remove the account.
• OK: Closes the window after Add/Delete settings.
• Close: Closes the window.
NOTE: If ID/PW are lost/forgotten, please contact
appropriate customer support team.
③Equipment Setup
Set the total number of connected devices.
④Serial Port Setup
Set Serial Communication port.
⑤Server / Client Setup
Set (Server/Client) type.

⑥Zone Name Setup
For each (MASTER/SLAVE 1~4) area names can be entered.
Select the equipment (MASTER/SLAVE 1~4) enter the name and click the Save] button to apply.
⑦RM Macro Setup
Screen for setting the Broadcast Area of macro RM Zone.

- From the top of the screen RM Main], RM Extension 1], RM Extension 2], RM Extension 3], RM
Extension 4] click the RM Zone area to select for macro setting.
- From Zone] section, select the area to broadcast.
※Clicking MASTER], SLAVE1], SLAVE 2], SLAVE 3], SLAVE 4] will collectively enable/disable devices’ zone.
※Can Select/Deselect any one the Zones.
- Clicking Download / Save] button will apply macro setting to the equipment.
- Click the CLOSE] button to close the window.
※If CLOSE] button is clicked before clicking Download / Save], set macro information will NOT be
applied to the equipment.
⑧Fire Macro Setup
The screen for setting the macro broadcast area for each fire contact points.
- From the top of the screen MASTER], SLAVE 1], SLAVE 2], SLAVE 3], SLAVE 4] click the Fire contact
area to select for macro setting.
- From Zone] section, select the area to broadcast.
※Clicking MASTER], SLAVE1], SLAVE 2], SLAVE 3], SLAVE 4] will collectively enable/disable
devices’ zone.
※Can Select/Deselect any one the Zones.
- Clicking Download / Save] button will apply macro setting to the equipment.
- Click the Cancel] button to close the window.
※If Cancel] button is clicked before clicking Download / Save], set macro information will NOT be
applied to the equipment.

⑨ EM MIC Macro Setup
The screen for setting the emergency microphone macro broadcast area.
- Select the area to broadcast to for emergency microphone use.
※Clicking MASTER], SLAVE1], SLAVE 2], SLAVE 3], SLAVE 4] will collectively enable/disable
devices’ zone.
※Can Select/Deselect any one the Zones.
- Clicking Download / Save] button will apply macro setting to the equipment.
- Click the Cancel] button to close the window.
※If Cancel] button is clicked before clicking Download / Save], set macro information will NOT be
applied to the equipment.

III. SCREEN CONFIGURATION AND PROGRAM FUNCTIONS
With a click of a mouse, you can control the functions of the front panel.
①Function Menu
Summary Menu functions of the program.
②When multiple devices are connected you can select the device you want to control or monitor. Clicking on
(NO.1 ~ No. 5) will display the status of the device.
③Main Control
Controls Speaker ZONE, FUNCTION, Volume, Chime & Siren etc.
- Click meter level using the mouse cursor to adjust the volume.
To control both group A and B at the same time, click the Sync (AB) button between A and B meter level to
activate.
File Can store and retrieve the files.
View Select the status bar display with/without at the bottom of the screen.
Detail Control The control screen at the bottom of the screen to select MEDIA or EQ.
Schedule Reservation Time start of operation/stop and add information/delete can be modified.
Environment Set preferences/environment.
Help Program version information is displayed.

④SOURCE Control
Controls the MEDIA(CD/DRP/USB) and TUNER functions.
⑤Network Status Icon
Displays the network connection status of the PC. Click the icon to connect or disconnect.
- Program connected to PAC-5000A is Server and program that connects from remote location is Client.
- Icon Status Description
⑥EQ Adjustment
Ability to set the EQ function to the group by (EQ A,B). For detailed information, please refer to 2.5) EQ
settings.
IV. PC RESERVED BROADCAST SETTINGS
Ability to broadcast the reserved broadcast information set by the user.
PC reservation broadcast setting is only available in Server Program and not in Client Program.
Click MENU] - Schedule Reservation] - Reservation  PC] to set the reserved broadcast schedule.
▶Server Program.
▶Allowed connection state.
▶Click again to disconnect. ▶Client Program.
▶Connect possible state.
▶Click to establish connection
to SERVER. ▶Disconnected state. ▶Connection completed state.
▶Click once from SERVER
program to disconnect.

IV.1 Adding Scheduled Broadcast
Click MENU] - Schedule Reservation] - Reservation  PC] to display broadcast setting window as shown
below.
Scheduled broadcast can only be added in Stop] state. If scheduled broadcast is in process click STOP]
button and set as follows.
ⒶAdjust the volume level (0~7) of the reserve stations.
ⒷClick the OPEN button to specify the MP3 file to play. After the file selection please check if the playing
time is correct.
ⒸSelect a Day to broadcast.
ⒹEnter the broadcast start time. (Use ▲/▼buttons to change AM/PM)
ⒺSelect the broadcast Speaker ZONE.
ⒻClick the Add button to set the scheduled content . Scheduled broadcast will begin at the set time.

IV.2 Delete Reserved Broadcast
Scheduled broadcast can only be deleted in STOP] state. If scheduled broadcast is in process click STOP]
button and set as follows.
ⒶSelect the content to delete using the mouse.
ⒷClick Delete] button to display confirmation window.
ⒸClick Yes(Y)] button to delete the selected setting.

IV.3 Modify Reserved Broadcast
Scheduled broadcast can only be modified in STOP] state. If scheduled broadcast is in process click STOP]
button and set as follows.
ⒶClick the content to modify.
ⒷModify the content.
ⒸClick Modify] button to set modified content.

IV.4 Run Reserved Broadcast
ⒶAfter setting the reserved broadcast, clicking the RUN] button will operate with configured information.

IV. Stop Reserved Broadcast
ⒶDuring the reserved broadcast, clicking STOP] button will stop the broadcast.
ⒷIf the STOP] button is clicked during non-reserve broadcast, Ⓑscreen is displayed. If Yes(Y)] button is
clicked, set scheduled broadcast function will not work. Click the RUN] button to operate the scheduled
broadcast again.

IV.6 Reservation Broadcast Notices
※ Note: PC Reserve feature is only available on PC set as Server and NOT available from PC set as Client.
※ Note: Add, modify and delete functions are only available in Stop] state.
※ Note: After add, modify and delete, Run] button must be clicked to operate scheduled broadcast .
※ Note: Clicking the Stop] button during the scheduled broadcast stops the scheduled broadcast operation.
※ Note: If an MP3 file without proper playing time is loaded, warning window will appear (shown below).
Please use the MP3 file with proper playing time.
V. EQ SETTING
Ability to set the EQ setting to (EQ A,B). EQ setting is only available in the Master equipment screen on the PC
set to Server program. PC set as Slave from Server program and Client program cannot control EQ.
As shown below click MENU] - Detail Control] - Equalizer Control] or click the EQ button in the middle of the screen.
Set the EQ setting as shown below.
①Select the group to EQ set control.
②Set the EQ of the selected group.
③Set EQ settings can be added to preset and also can ADD] or DEL] delete presets.
