Suitable for direct connection to underwater lights and for Indoor/Outdoor installations except in CANADA - Low
Voltage Landscape Lighting installation - Outdoor only.
Read and follow the safety instructions listed below and other basic safety precautions before installation or
operation of this transformer and other associated equipment.
These Safety Transformers are specifically designed
to supply 12 volts to pool/spa lights, submersible
fixtures and outdoor garden lights. The built-in
circuit protection will disconnect power to the
transformer in case of defect or overload. These
transformers are suitable for direct connection to
underwater Pool and Spa lights.
SPECIFICATIONS
Enclosure Size: 7 1/4” (19.4 cm) high x 5 1/4” (13.3
cm) wide x 4 1/2” (11.4 cm) deep. Mounting brackets
top and bottom.
Enclosure Type:
PX100 and PX300 - 0.048” corrosion resistant steel
with electrostatically applied paint.
PX100S and PX300S - 0.036” Stainless Steel.
Knockouts: Total of ten 1/2”-3/4” combination.
(4) bottom, (2) right side, (2) left side, (2) back.

GENERAL INFORMATION
• If installation involves running wire through a building structure, special wiring methods are needed.
• Do Not submerge transformer.
•Do Not exceed the maximum ratings of individual components, wiring devices, and current carrying capacity of conductors.
• Select cable for each secondary output in accordance with tables in this manual.
• Select power source by combining bulb wattage.
• For landscape lighting appliances, low voltage cable shall be buried a maximum of 6 inches (15.2 cm) in order to connect to the
main low voltage cable.

INSTALLATION
For field wiring information, please refer to the instructions attached to inside of front cover.
• Make sure that all unused taps (leads) are separately insulated.
• Use the following tables as a guide to determine the correct wire size.
• The voltage at lamp terminals after installation should be 12 ± 0.3 VAC.
• Voltages above 12.3 VAC at the light may cause the internal safety fuse of the transformer to
switch off and on. To prevent this from happening follow chart below for correct voltage and
wire gauge selection.
1. Select power source by combining Bulb wattage.
2. Determine length of cable run(s).
3. Determine wire gauge needed to deliver necessary power.
4. Connect cable to output tap of transformer given in table.

• Use only CSA or UL certified low-voltage cable.
• Low voltage cable shall be buried a maximum 6
inches (15.2 cm) in order to connect to the main low
voltage cable.

Lea y siga las instrucciones de seguridad enumeradas a continuación y otras precauciones básicas de seguri-
dad antes de instalar o hacer funcionar este transformador y otros equipos asociados.
Estos transformadores de seguridad están diseñados
específicamente para suministrar 12voltios a las luces
de piscina/spa, los accesorios sumergibles y las luces
de jardín en exteriores. La función de protección del
circuito incorporada desconectará la alimentación del
transformador en caso de defectos o sobrecarga. Estos
transformadores son adecuados para la conexión
directa a las luces subacuáticas de piscinas y spas.

INFORMACIÓN GENERAL
• Si la instalación implica el tendido del cable a través de la estructura de una construcción, se necesitan métodos de cableado espe-
ciales.
• No sumerja el transformador.
• No exceda las clasificaciones máximas de los componentes individuales, los dispositivos de cableado y la capacidad de carga de
corriente de los conductores.
• Seleccione el cable para cada salida secundaria de acuerdo con las tablas de este manual.
• Seleccione la fuente de alimentación combinando la potencia de las bombillas.
• Para los aparatos de iluminación de jardines, el cable de bajo voltaje se debe enterrar un máximo de 6in (15.2cm) con el fin de
conectar el cable principal de bajo voltaje.

INSTALACIÓN
Para obtener información sobre el cableado de campo, consulte las instrucciones adjuntas
en el interior de la cubierta frontal.
• Asegúrese de que todas las tomas (cables) no utilizadas estén aisladas por separado.
• Use las siguientes tablas como guía para determinar el tamaño de cable correcto.
• El voltaje en los terminales de la lámpara después de la instalación debe ser de 12 ± 0.3VCA.
• Los voltajes superiores a 12.3VCA en la luz pueden hacer que el fusible de seguridad interno
del transformador se apague y se encienda. Para evitar que esto suceda, siga la tabla a con-
tinuación para seleccionar correctamente el voltaje y el calibre del cable.
1. Seleccione la fuente de alimentación combinando la potencia de las bombillas.
2. Determine la longitud de los tramos de cable.
3. Determine el calibre del cable necesario para suministrar la potencia necesaria.
4. Conecte el cable a la toma de salida del transformador que se indica en la tabla.
• Utilice únicamente un cable de bajo voltaje con
certificación CSA o UL.
• El cable de bajo voltaje se debe enterrar un máximo
de 6pulgadas (15.2cm) con el fin de conectar el
cable principal de bajo voltaje.
