Suitable for direct connection to underwater lights and for Indoor/Outdoor installations except in CANADA - Low
Voltage Landscape Lighting installation - Outdoor only.
Read and follow the safety instructions listed below and other basic safety precautions before installation or
operation of this transformer and other associated equipment.
These Safety Transformers are specifically designed
to supply 12 volts to pool/spa lights, submersible
fixtures and outdoor garden lights. The built-in
circuit protection will disconnect power to the
transformer in case of defect or overload. These
transformers are suitable for direct connection to
underwater Pool and Spa lights.
SPECIFICATIONS
Enclosure Size: 7 1/4” (19.4 cm) high x 5 1/4” (13.3
cm) wide x 4 1/2” (11.4 cm) deep. Mounting brackets
top and bottom.
Enclosure Type:
PX100 and PX300 - 0.048” corrosion resistant steel
with electrostatically applied paint.
PX100S and PX300S - 0.036” Stainless Steel.
Knockouts: Total of ten 1/2”-3/4” combination.
(4) bottom, (2) right side, (2) left side, (2) back.

GENERAL INFORMATION
• If installation involves running wire through a building structure, special wiring methods are needed.
• Do Not submerge transformer.
•Do Not exceed the maximum ratings of individual components, wiring devices, and current carrying capacity of conductors.
• Select cable for each secondary output in accordance with tables in this manual.
• Select power source by combining bulb wattage.
• For landscape lighting appliances, low voltage cable shall be buried a maximum of 6 inches (15.2 cm) in order to connect to the
main low voltage cable.

INSTALLATION
For field wiring information, please refer to the instructions attached to inside of front cover.
• Make sure that all unused taps (leads) are separately insulated.
• Use the following tables as a guide to determine the correct wire size.
• The voltage at lamp terminals after installation should be 12 ± 0.3 VAC.
• Voltages above 12.3 VAC at the light may cause the internal safety fuse of the transformer to
switch off and on. To prevent this from happening follow chart below for correct voltage and
wire gauge selection.
1. Select power source by combining Bulb wattage.
2. Determine length of cable run(s).
3. Determine wire gauge needed to deliver necessary power.
4. Connect cable to output tap of transformer given in table.

• Use only CSA or UL certified low-voltage cable.
• Low voltage cable shall be buried a maximum 6
inches (15.2 cm) in order to connect to the main low
voltage cable.

extérieures à l’exception du CANADA - Installation d’éclairage paysager basse tension - Extérieur seulement.
Veiller à lire et respecter les consignes de sécurité ci-dessous et autres mesures de précaution élémentaires
avant d’installer ou d’utiliser ce transformateur et les autres équipements associés.
Ces transformateurs de sécurité sont spécifiquement
conçus pour alimenter sous 12 V des lampes de
piscine/spa, appareils immergés et lampes de jardin.
Le protège-circuit intégré coupe l’alimentation vers
le transformateur en cas de défaillance ou de
surcharge. Ces transformateurs conviennent pour
le raccordement direct à des éclairages immergés
de piscine et de spa.
CARACTÉRISTIQUES
Taille du boîtier : (HxLxP) 19,4 cm x 13,3 cm x 11,4
cm (7-1/4 po x 5-1/4 po x 4-1/4 po). Ferrures de
fixation supérieur et inférieure.
Type de boîtier:
PX100 à PX300 - Acier résistant à la corrosion
de 1,22 mm (0,048 po) avec peinture appliquée
électrostatiquement.
PX100S à PX300S - Acier inoxydable de 0,91 mm
(0,036po).
Alvéoles défonçables : Total de dix alvéoles
combinées de 1/2 po à 3/4po. (4) en bas, (2) sur
côté droit, (2) sur côté gauche, (2) au dos.

GÉNÉRALITÉS
• Si l’installation suppose le passage de câbles à travers la structure d’un bâtiment, des méthodes spéciales de câblage sont
requises.
• Ne pas immerger le transformateur.
• Ne pas dépasser les caractéristiques nominales des composants individuels et des dispositifs de câblage ni la capacité de transport
de courant des conducteurs.
• Choisir le câble pour chaque sortie de secondaire conformément aux tableaux figurant dans ce manuel.
• Combiner la puissance des ampoules pour choisir la source d’alimentation.
• Pour les appareils d’éclairage paysager, le câble basse tension doit être enterré à un maximum de 15,2 cm (6 pouces) pour son
raccordement au câble basse tension principal.

Voir les informations de câblage dans la deuxième page de couverture du mode d’emploi joint.
• S’assurer que tous les raccordements (fils) inutilisés sont isolés séparément.
• Se reporter aux tableaux ci-dessous pour déterminer le calibre correct des fils.
• La tension aux bornes des lampes après l’installation doit être de 12 ± 0,3V.
• Des tensions de plus à 12,3 V au niveau des lampes peuvent provoquer une commutation
intempestive du fusible de sécurité interne du transformateur. Pour éviter ce problème, veiller
à utiliser le tableau ci-dessous pour le choix de la tension et des calibres de fil.
1. Combiner la puissance des ampoules pour choisir la source d’alimentation.
2. Déterminer les longueurs de câbles individuels.
3. Déterminer le calibre de fil requis pour transporter le courant nécessaire.
4. Raccorder le câble à la sortie du transformateur indiquée dans le tableau.

• Utiliser exclusivement du câble basse tension
homologué CSA ou UL.
• Le câble basse tension doit être enterré à un
maximum de 15,2 cm (6pouces) pour son
raccordement au câble basse tension principal.
