The appearance of the units that you purchase may be slightly different from the ones described in this manual,
but will not affect proper operations and usage.
Please read carefully the sections corresponding to the specific model you have, and keep the manual in a safe
place for reference.
The refrigerant used in your portable air conditioner is an environmentally safe and friendly.
ATTENTION
Keep small children away from unit.
Do not modify or otherwise defeat the plug.
The appliance shall be installed and operated in accordance with National Electrical Code regulations.
Do not operate the machine when the ambient temperature is below 64°F or above 109°F when it is in cooling
mode or below 23 °F or above 75°F when it is in heating mode.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified person in order to avoid a fire hazard.
All electrical repairs and connections must be performed by a licensed electrician.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO THE INSTALLER
Read this manual and familiarize yourself with the specific items which must be adhered to before attempting to
service this unit. The precautions listed in this manual should not supersede existing practices but should be
considered as supplemental information.
Transportation Damage
The carton should be checked upon arrival for any external damage. If damage is found, immediately contact selling
distributor. Note on the delivery receipt any visible damage to unit or carton.
Unpacking the Unit
1. Open the carton.
2. Remove the literature, hardware pack, upper styrofoam shipping blocks, and styrofoam corner posts.
3. Remove the front assembly.
4. Lift the unit from the remaining carton.
5. Dispose of the cardboard and styrofoam at an approved recycle center. Check all contents for damaged or
missing parts.In case of concealed damage, notify the carrier as soon as possible preferably within 5 days.
Operating Instructions
Check the data specification plate and ensure the proper voltage and current rating for the type of power plug on the
unit is available. DO NOT REMOVE THE GROUNDING PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD. .See Figure 1 for the
types of acceptable plugs. DO NOT use an extension cord for the installation of this product. Refer to the data
specification plate for electrical requirements.

LCDI Power Cord
LCDI or AFCI Power Cords - Underwriters Laboratories and the National Electric Code (NEC) now require
power cords that sense current leakage and can open the electrical circuit to the unit on units rated at 250 volts or less.
In the event that unit does not operate, check the reset button located on or near the head of the power cord as part of
the normal troubleshooting procedure.
NOTES:
·Do not use this device to turn the unit on or off.
·Always make sure the RESET button is pushed in for correct operation.
·The power supply must be replaced if it fails reset when either the TEST button is pushed, or it cannot be reset. A
new one can be obtained from the product manufacturer.
·If power supply cord is damaged, it cannot be repaired. It MUST be replaced by one obtained from the product
manufacturer.

Before connecting the unit, measure the supply voltage. Voltage must fall within the voltage utilization range given in
below table.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE:
The air conditioner dimension is: 24”W x 14 1/2”H x 18 1/2”D without front case. To ensure that the unit operates
safely and efficiently, it should be installed, operated, and maintained according to these installation and operating
instructions and all local codes and ordinances, or, in their absence, with the latest edition of the National Electrical
Code. The proper installation of this unit is described in the following sections. Following the steps in the order
presented will ensure proper installation.
All wall sleeves used to mount the new air conditioner must be in structurally sound and have a rear grille that securely
attaches to sleeve. Wall sleeve (4230050) is not shipped with chassis and must be purchased separately.
CAUTION:
When installation is complete, replacement unit MUST have a rearward slope as shown.

HOW TO INSTALL SEA BREEZE TTW IN EXISTING SLEEVE
1. Remove old air conditioner from wall sleeve and prepare wall sleeve as follows:
·Clean interior but do not disturb seals.
·Wall sleeve must be securely fastened in wall before installing air conditioner.
2. Drill a 3/16” clearance hole for grounding screw through left side of
wall sleeve, about 3 inches (maximum) from the front edge of
sleeve as shown. Next attach ground wire inside sleeve, using
grounding screw and nut. Pull end of ground wire out the front of
the sleeve, and temporarily bend it down and around lower edge of
sleeve.
3. Prepare the wall sleeve for installation of new unit. For existing wall
sleeve and rear grille, see Option 1 below.
NOTE: Wall sleeve (4230050) is not shipped with TTW and must be purchased separately.
4. Install unit into wall sleeve.
5. Attach ground wire to the new unit by removing the screw from the left side front.
6. Assemble and install the trim frame. See “Finish Installation”page 6.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
·The unit is equipped with a rubber grommet mounted compressor. These grommets are factory set and require no
adjustment.
·Check for obstruction to air flow, correct if necessary. The unit must be located where curtains, furniture, trees, or
other objects do not block air flow to and from the unit. If air is obstructed and/or deflected back into the unit, the
air conditioners compressor may cycle on and off rapidly, this could cause damage to the compressor.
OPTION 1 –Using existing sleeve and rear grille.
If there is an existing sleeve and grille, the louvers will have to be bent as per the instructions in Fig. 1 below. If this is
too hard to accomplish, refer to OPTION 2.
NOTE: Do not remove the seals from the existing grille.
OPTION 2 –Use the grille packed with your air conditioner.
1. Remove existing grille and secured as necessary.
2. Place the included aluminum grille towards the rear of unit.
3. Mark through the hole positions.
4. Drill through the sleeves flanges with a 1/8”drill bit.
5. Attach the new grille with self-threading screws and washers
(not included).
NOTE: It is very IMPORTANT that the grille is placed exactly as shown below.
6. Attach (1) 1”x 3/8”x 25”long seal in the center at the top of the sleeve. Remove the backing paper and press into
position.

7. Attach (2) 1”x3/8”x14”long seals to the left and right sides of the sleeve.
8. Cut (2) 1”x3/4”x14”long seal vertically 3.5”from the left and vertically 3”from the other sides of the sleeve.
9. Center unit and gently slide unit into sleeve.
10. Before sliding all-the-way back, remove the second screw from front on left side of unit.
11. Remove the plastic washer from the screw. Screw and attach the other end of the ground wire to the unit as
shown below right. Make sure that the toothed washer is against the cabinet.
12. Slide the unit completely to the rear to ensure a good seal, making sure the ground wire does not become tangled.
13. Seal & Frame the unit as described on the last page of these instructions.
14. If you have difficulty with mounting the grill to the sleeve, follow the instructions for OPTION 3 - Direct Unit
Mounting.
OPTION 3 –Mounting Sea Breeze sleeve (4230050) to TTW.
The previous directions are the preferred way to mount the new rear grill. The unit performance is slightly better and
the possibility of draughts is reduced.
Another option is direct mounting of the
grille to the unit. Mounting hardware
included in accessory kit.
NOTE: The grille must be installed prior to
inserting the unit into the sleeve.
1. Attach the 2 seal pieces (1” x 3/8” x14”)
as shown in Fig. 1. Trim as necessary.
2. Position the grille over the rear of the
unit making sure that:
a. The double set of screw holes are
at the bottom.
b. The fins of the grill are pointed
away from the unit.
3. Align the top of the grille with the top of
the unit. The overhang on each side is
equal.
4. If the TTW case has not been pre-
drilled (some models), carefully drill 4-
1/8” holes through the grille and into the
side flange of the unit approximately 1
1/2”to 2”from the top and bottom as in
Fig. 2, 3 .
NOTE：Be careful not to drill into the
copper heat exchanger coils.
5. Install 4 - #8 self tapping screws to affix
the grille to the unit.
6. Insert the unit (centered) into the sleeve.

FINISH INSTALLATION
1. Install the 1”x1 1/2”x 84”long stuffer-seal
(foam insulation) between the wall sleeve
and the unit.
2. Assemble the trim frame by inserting top and
bottom pieces into side pieces and snapping
into place.
3. Pull cord through trim frame then slide over
unit until flush with wall.

functions then follow the symbol for the functions you desire. The air conditioner can be controlled by the remote
control or the control panel.

SELECTING THE OPERATING MODE

Select Operating Mode：
To choose operating mode, press the Mode button.
Each time you press the button, a mode is selected
in a sequence that goes from Auto, Cool, Dry and
Fan. The indicator light beside the Mode button will
be illuminated.
To Operate Auto Feature:
When the "AUTO" function is selected, it will
automatically select the cooling, fan or heat (if
model has this feature). The temperature can be
changed as desired.
The air conditioner will control room temperature
automatically around the temperature set point.
In the "AUTO" mode, the fan speed is not
selectable. The fan will change speeds according to
the room temperature and the set point.
To Operate Fan Only:
Use this function only when cooling is not desired
such as for room air circulation or to exhaust stale
air. Fan speed is selectable (Auto, High, Med, and
Low).
The Fan only function will display the actual room
temperature.
In other modes the set point is displayed.
If the Fan-Auto is selected, the temperature is
automatically set to 75 °F . The fan speed will
decrease as the room temperature approaches set
point.
To operate on Dry mode:
In this mode, the air conditioner will operate in the
form of a dehumidifier. Since the conditioned space
is a closed or sealed area, some degree of cooling
will continue.
ENERGY SAVER MODE:
This function is available in COOL mode. The fan will
continue to run for 3 minutes after the compressor shuts
off. The fan then cycles on for 2 minutes at 10 minute
intervals. If the room temperature goes above the set
point, the compressor turns on and begins cooling.
SLEEP MODE:
The temperature setting will increase by 2°F in 30
minutes. In another 30 minutes the temperature setting
will increase by another 2°F.
This temperature will be maintained for 6 hours and then
the temperature will return to the original set point
temperature.
To cancel the sleep mode, press the "Sleep" button.

TIMER: AUTO START/STOP FEATURE
CHECK FILTER FEATURE
DISPLAY & ERROR CODE
TIMER FUNCTION:
Press the Timer button to select "On or Off". After the
time is selected the unit will either turn on or off after
the timer has timed out.
Example:
If the unit is operating and "Off' is selected the unit will
turn off after the selected time times out.
If the unit is off and "On" is selected the unit will turn
on after the selected times out.
Press or hold the UP or DOWN button to change the
Auto time by 0.5 hour increments up to 10 hours, then
at 1 hour increments up to 24 hours. The control will
count down the time remaining until unit starts or
stops.
The selected time will update in 5 seconds. The
system will automatically revert back to display the
previous temperature setting or room temperature
when the unit is on. (When the unit is off, there is no
display.)
Turning the unit ON or OFF at any time or adjusting
the timer setting to 0.0 will cancel the Auto Start/Stop
timed program.
CHECK FILTER FEATURE:
This feature is a reminder to clean the Air Filter for more
efficient operation. The LED (light) will illuminate after 250
hours of operation. To reset after cleaning the filter, press
the Check Filter button and the light will turn off.
DISPLAY INDICATIONS:
Displays the following possibilities:
* °F or °C (See page 16 on how to select °F or °C).
* Timer setting.
* Set temperature (all modes other than fan).
* Room temperature in the fan mode.
* Error codes.
Error codes:
1) AS - Room temperature sensor error. Unplug the
unit wait 60 seconds and plug it back in. If error
repeats, call for service.
2) LO or HI –(Fan Only Mode) Room temperature
sensor error. Unplug the unit wait 60 seconds and
plug it back in. If error repeats, call for service.
3) “·”(see picture to the left) -Evaporator
temperature sensor error. Unplug the unit wait 60
seconds and plug it back in. If error repeats, call
for service.
4) HS -Electric heating sensor error. Unplug the unit
wait 60 seconds and plug it back in. If error
repeats, call for service.

REMOTE CONTROL
Handling and location of the remote controller
Use the remote control at a distance of 16 ft., or less, from the appliance. Point it towards the receiver on the air
conditioner. Communication is confirmed with a beep.
CAUTIONS
The air conditioner will not operate if curtains, doors or other materials block the signal from the remote control to
the air conditioner.

If the infrared signal receiver on the indoor unit is exposed to direct sunlight, the air conditioner may not function
properly.
If other electrical appliances react to the remote controller, either move these appliances or consult your local
dealer.
Replacing Batteries
The remote control is powered by two AAA alkaline batteries housed in the back of the remote. (Do not use
rechargeable batteries).
(1) Remove the cover by pressing down and sliding back.
(2) Remove the old batteries and insert the new batteries, observing polarity.
(3) Replace the battery cover.
NOTE: When the batteries are removed, the remote control erases all settings. After inserting new batteries, the
remote control settings must be reselected.

REMOTE OPERATING
Cooling/Heating/Fan operation
Ensure the unit is plugged in and power is on.
1. Press the ON/OFF button to start the air
conditioner.
2. Press the MODE button to select Cool, Heat
(if unit is a heating model) or Fan mode.
3. Press the TEMP UP/DOWN button to set the
desired temperature. The temperature can be
set within the range of 62 ºF - 86 ºF in 1 ºF
increments.
4. If cooling or heating is selected, the FAN-
AUTO function can be selected, automatically
changing the fan speed as the room
temperature gets closer to set point.
5. Press the FAN button to select the fan
speed in four steps - Auto, Low, Med, or High.
6. In the FAN mode, the set point temperature
is not displayed on the control panel. If the
Fan-Auto is selected, the temperature is
automatically set to 75 °F. The fan speed will
decrease as the room temperature approaches
set point.
Auto operation
Ensure the unit is plugged in and power is on.
1. Press the ON/OFF button to start the air conditioner.
2. Press the MODE button to select Auto.
3. Press the TEMP UP/DOWN button to set the
desired temperature. The temperature range is 62 ºF -
86 ºF in 1 ºF increments.
NOTE:
1. In the Auto mode the air conditioner will select
Cooling, Fan or Heat (if unit is a heating model).
Depending upon set point vs. room temperature.
2. In the Auto mode, you cannot switch the fan
speed. It is automatically controlled.
3. If the Auto mode is not comfortable for you, select
the desired mode for manual operation.
ONE TOUCH button
4. Press this button and the system will automatically
shift to COOL operation with auto fan speed. The set
point temperature is 80°F and the timer setting
program will be cancelled.

REMOTE OPERATING (CONTIUNED)
Dehumidifying (DRY) operation
Ensure the unit is plugged in and power is
on.
1. Press the ON/OFF button to start the air
conditioner.
2. Press the MODE button to select DRY.
3. Press the TEMP UP/DOWN button to set
the desired temperature. The temperature
can be set within a range of 62 ºF - 86 ºF in
1ºF increments.
NOTE:
In the Dehumidifying mode, you can not change
the fan speed. It is automatically set to low speed.
SLEEP operation
Press this button to activate the SLEEP mode.
This function is available on COOL, HEAT or
AUTO mode only and maintains the most
comfortable temperature for you.
In this mode the selected temperature will
increase by 2 ºF in 30 minutes after the mode is
selected. The temperature will then increase by
another 2 ºF after an additional 30 minutes. This
new temperature will be maintained for 6 hours
before it returns to the originally selected
temperature.
This ends the SLEEP mode and the unit will
continue to operate as originally programmed.
The SLEEP mode program may be cancelled by
pressing the MODE, ON/OFF, FAN SPEED and
SLEEP button during operation.

REMOTE OPERATING (CONTIUNED)
Timer operation
Press the TIMER button to initiate the Auto-start and
Auto-stop setting program of the unit. The time can be
set for 0~24 hours.
To set the Auto-start/stop time
1. Press the TIMER button, when the TIMER ON
indicator displayed on the LED window of the air
conditioner, it indicates the Auto Start setting program
is initiated. When the TIMER OFF indicator displayed
on the LED window of the air conditioner, it indicates
the Auto Stop setting program is initiated.
2. Press or hold the Up(▲) or Down(▼) to change the
Auto time by 0.5 hour increments up to 10 hours, then
at 1 hour increments up to 24 hours. The control will
count down the time remaining until starts/stops.
3. The selected time will register in 5 seconds and the
air conditioner will automatically revert back to display
the previous temperature setting.
4. Turning the unit ON or OFF at any time will cancel
the Auto start/stop function.
5. To cancel the TIMER setting, push the TIMER
button and press or hold the Up (▲) or Down (▼)
until 0 hour is displayed on the LCD window of the air
conditioner
Timer operation (Combined)
(Setting both ON and OFF timers simultaneously)
AUTO STOP →AUTO START
(On→Stop→Start operation)
This feature is useful when you want to stop the air conditioner after you go to
bed, and start it again in the morning when you wake up or when you return
home.
Example:
To stop the air conditioner 2 hours after setting and start it again 10 hours after
setting.
1. Press the TIMER button until the TIMER OFF indicator is displayed on the
LED display of the air conditioner.
2. Use the UP/DOWN button to display “2.0” on the LED display.
3. Press the TIMER button again to display the TIMER OFF
4. Use the UP/DOWN button to display “10”.
5. Wait for 5 seconds until the previous display revert back to the LED window.
AUTO START →AUTO STOP
(Off →Start→Stop operation)
This feature is useful when you want to start the air conditioner before you wake
up and stop it after you leave the house.
Example:
To start the air conditioner 5 hours after setting, and stopping it 8 hours later.
1. Press the TIMER button until the TIMER ON indicator is displayed.
2. Use the UP/DOWN button to display “5.0”.
3. Press the TIMER button again to display the TIMER OFF.
4. Use the UP/DOWN button to display “8.0”.
5. Wait for 5 seconds until the previous display reverts back to the LED
window.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The compressor has a 3 minute time delay if the unit is turned off and on quickly. The fan will continue to run
during this time.
The control is capable of displaying temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or degrees Celsius. To convert from one
to the other, press and hold the Up (▲) and Down (▼) Temp/Timer buttons at the same time, for 3 seconds.
Do not try to operate your air conditioner in the cooling mode when outside temperature is below 64ºF. The inside
evaporator coil will freeze up, and the air conditioner will not operate properly.
Air Directional Louvers
NORMAL SOUNDS
When your air conditioner is operating normally, you may hear sounds such as:
Droplets of water hitting the condenser, causing a pinging or clicking sound. The water droplets help to cool
the condenser.
Air movement from the fan.
Clicks from the thermostat cycling.
Vibrations or noise due to poor wall or window construction.
A high-pitched hum or pulsating noise caused by the modern high-efficiency compressor cycling on and off.
The 4 way air directional louvers will allow you to
direct the air flow Up or Down and Left or Right
throughout the room as needed.
To adjust air directional louvers side to side, use the
center handles as you move it side to side.

Your new air conditioner is designed to give you many years of dependable service. This section tells you how to
clean and care for your air conditioner properly. Call your local authorized dealer for an annual checkup. Remember,
the cost of this service call is your responsibility.

Cleaning the Air Filter
The air filter is removable for easy cleaning. A clean
filter helps remove dust, lint, and other particles from
the air and is important for best cooling and operating
efficiency. Check the filter every 2 weeks to see
whether it needs cleaning.
NOTE: Do not operate the air conditioner without the
filter in place.
1. Turn off the air conditioner.
2. Remove air filter by center and pull up and out.
3. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean air filter. If air filter
is very dirty, wash it in warm water with a mild
detergent. Do not wash air filter in the dishwasher or
use any chemical cleaners. Air dry filter completely
before replacing to ensure maximum efficiency.
Cleaning the Front Panel
1. Turn off the air conditioner
2. Remove the air filter and clean it separately. See
Cleaning the Air Filter.
3. Wipe the front panel with a soft damp cloth.
4. Air dry front panel completely.

Repairing Paint Damage of Outside
Case
Check once or twice a year for paint damage. This is
very important, especially in areas near oceans or
where rust is a problem. If needed, touchup with a
good grade of enamel paint.
NOTE: To reduce paint damage during the winter,
install a heavy duty cover over the air conditioner
cabinet.
Annual Maintenance
Your air conditioner needs annual maintenance to help
ensure steady, top performance throughout the year.
Call your local authorized dealer to schedule an
annual checkup. The expense of an annual inspection
is your responsibility.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Before calling for service, try the suggestions below to see whether you can solve your problem without outside help.
Air conditioner will not operate
1. The power supply cord is unplugged. Plug into
a grounded 3 prong outlet. See “Electrical
Requirements”.
2. The power supply cord has tripped (Reset
button has popped out). Press and release
RESET (listen for click; Reset button will latch and
remain in) to resume operation.
3. A household fuse has blown, or a circuit
breaker has tripped. Replace the fuse or reset
the circuit breaker. If the problem continues, call
an electrician. See “Electrical Requirements”.
4. Depending on model, the Power button has
not been pressed or the Fan control is turned
to OFF. Press POWER or turn the Fan control to
an active setting.
5. The local power has failed. Wait for power to be
restored.
Air conditioner blows fuses or trips circuit
breakers
Too many appliances are being used on the same
circuit. Unplug or relocate appliances that share the
same circuit.
Time-delay fuse or circuit breaker of the wrong
capacity is being used. Replace with a time-delay
fuse or circuit breaker of the correct capacity. See
“Electrical Requirements”.
An extension cord is being used. Do not use an
extension cord with this or any other appliance.
You are trying to restart the air conditioner too
soon after turning the unit off. Wait at least 3
minutes after turning the unit off before trying to restart
the air conditioner.
Air conditioner power supply cord trips
(Reset button pops out)
Disturbances in your electrical current can trip
(Reset button will pop out) the power supply cord.
Press and release RESET (listen for click; Reset
button will latch and remain in) to resume operation.
Electrical overloading, overheating, pinched cord
can trip (Reset button will pop out) the power
supply cord.
After correcting the problem, press and release
RESET (listen for click; Reset button will latch and
remain in) to resume operation.
NOTE: a damaged power supply cord must be
replaced with a new power supply cord obtained from
the product manufacturer and must not be repaired.
Air conditioner runs too long
The current air conditioner replaced an older
model. The use of more efficient components may
cause the air conditioner to run longer than an older
model, but the total energy consumption will be less.
Newer air conditioners do not emit the blast of cold air
you may be accustomed to from older units, but this is
not an indication of lesser cooling capacity or
efficiency. Refer to the efficiency rating (EER) and
capacity rating (in BTU/hr.) marked on the air
conditioner.
The air conditioner is in a heavily occupied room,
or heat-producing appliances are in use in the
room. Use exhaust vent fans while cooking or bathing
and try not to use heat producing appliances during
the hottest part of the day. A higher capacity air
conditioner may be required, depending on the size of
the room being cooled.
