Some typical situations to avoid:
• Donotwearyourhearingsystemwhenusingahairdryer.
• Donotleaveyourhearingsysteminyourcarorindirectsunlight.
• Donotattempttodryyourhearingsysteminanydeviceotherthananapproveddryingkit.
Rough Treatment
Protect your hearing system from rough treatment by storing it in the provided carrying case
when it is not in use.
Corrosive substances
• If you use cleaning products, only use those recommended by your hearing healthcare
professional, as the housing can be damaged by certain cleaning agents such as mineral
acids, hydrocarbons (benzol), esters, alcohols and ketones.
• Itissuggestedthatthehearingsystemnotbewornwhileapplyingthefollowing:hairspray,
cosmetics, colognes, perfumes, sunscreens, insect repellent, etc.
General Warnings
• Yourhearinginstruments shouldneverbe worn byothers.They havebeenprogrammefor
your comfort and hearing abilities. Un-prescribed use by another person could damage his or
her hearing.
• Consultaphysicianifyoundaforeignobjectinyourearcanal,ifyouexperienceskin
irritation
or if excessive earwax accumulates with the use of the hearing instrument.
• Differenttypesof radiation,forexample,fromNMR,MRI orCTscanners,maydamagethe
hearing instrument; therefore, do not wear the hearing instruments during these or other
similar scanning procedures. Other types of radiation (burglar alarms, room surveillance
systems, radio equipment, mobile telephones, etc.) contain less energy and will not damage
the hearing instruments. They could, however, momentarily affect the sound quality or create
strange sounds from the hearing instruments.
• Donotwearthehearinginstrumentinminesorotherexplosiveareasunlessthoseareasare
certified for hearing instrument use.
