2| Device description
The TwinLux Dual is a mains-independent, portable device with a
built-in battery. It is used to cure the following light-curing materials:
–HyCeram®Bond II or Bond THX NF materials
–LuxArt®design composite
–Luxon®design acrylate
More detailed descriptions of HyCeram®, LuxArt® and Luxon®can
be found in the corresponding instructions for use.
Two high-efficiency Royal Blue LED diodes with a wavelength range
of 425 - 470 nm (peak 450 nm) are used as light sources.
One UV LED diode with a wavelength range of 350 - 375 nm
(peak 365 nm) is also used.
The total radiant power is 1.5 W.
This means that the entire LED light spectrum emitted by TwinLux
Dual is used to full effect in the activation of the HyCeram®Bond II or
Bond THX NF, LuxArt®or Luxon®initiators. This produces excellent
polymerisation results with low energy consumption and minimal
heat loss.
The LED light sources can be switched on and off using the multi-
function button (4).
Three different preset exposure times can be selected, depending on
how the button is pressed.
The following exposure times can be chosen:
–30 seconds
–60 seconds
–Continuous exposure
As soon as the function button is pressed and the light is active,
the exposure indicator will light up or start to blink.
The exposure times can be activated as follows:

The mains connection supplies power to the TwinLux Dual and charges
the battery.
Overheat protection (4)
The TwinLux Dual is designed for intensive, continuous use. The device
features overheat protection with ventilation slots (4) in order to prevent
overheating.
LED light source (5)
Light from the LED light source.
Risk of eye injury from direct exposure to light.
–Do not look directly into the LED light source.
–Only use the device when the protective shield is attached and functioning
correctly.
–Always ensure the protective shield is attached correctly.
–Never point the beam of the LED light source directly at eyes.
