3 Operation guide
3.1 Operation description
Equipment required: Networked computer, WIFI data transmission terminal.
3.1.1 WIFI configuration procedure
1. Connect the power cable and WIFI antenna based on the port description and power on
the WIFI data transmission terminal. If the NET yellow indicator is ON in AP mode, a
hotspot has been created on the WIFI module.
2. Download the iWoStudio software from the official website and install it on your laptop.
3. In the bottom right corner of your desktop, click the network button to select the WIFI
hotspot corresponding to the WIFI module in the wireless network list.
Note: The name of the WIFI hotspot is the serial number on the barcode, and the
password is "00 + the secret key on the barcode".
4. Start the iWoStudio software and go to the WIFI card configuration page. Select or enter
the router WIFI name, enter the password, and click Config.
5. WIFI data transmission terminal is switched to the STA mode after the configuration. The
network connection status can be viewed by the NET indicator.
Note: To make changes to the configuration, press and hold the RESET button for more
than 6s to restore to the default settings and configure again.
3.1.2 IoT monitoring procedure
1. Record the device ID and 6-digit key from the label and add them to the IoT monitoring
system (website: https://iot.invt.com/login).
2. Connect the power cable, RS485 communication cable, and WIFI antenna based on the
port description.
3. Configure the WIFI module, power on and start the WIFI data transmission terminal.

4. If the yellow NET indicator is ON for 100ms and OFF for 3s, the WIFI module is network
ready and the data transmission starts.
5. Go to real-time monitoring interface to review relevant information in IoT monitoring
system.
3.2 IoT policy configuration
The product is equipped with powerful and easily-operated parameter configuration tool
(Assist) which carried user-friendly interface and supports one-key configuration and policy file
upgrades.
1. Create a new text file with suffix set as viewable in attribute, and write the policy
configuration command into the file one by one per below format:

ICA100-02 IoT Data Transmission Terminal Operation guide
-8-
The first line is commands for setting up APN network, user name, and password.
The second line is commands for Modbus address clearing.
The third line is commands for setting up Modbus address of the device; M (device
quantity 1), W (5s waiting time), R (rewrite times), ADDR (address 1), B (baud rate), D
(data bit), S (stop bit), P (parity bit NONE:0,ODD:1,EVEN:2), T (J: construction
machinery), G: (number of register groups), group 1 (number of registers: start address of
register: data-rewrite interval), group 2 (number of registers: start address of register:
data-rewrite interval).
The forth line is commands for network port IP setting; MSIP (device IP), PORT (port),
LOCALIP (local IP).
The fifth line is commands for turning off the commissioning information.
The sixth line is commands for policy name which is the same as the file name.
The seventh line is the end line command.
Change the suffix of the file name to tac and click Save. Then, re-open the file path, and
click Config to complete. In the advanced function, click the corresponding policy inquiry
button and check in the feedback message box whether the policy is the same with the
setting.
2. The Advance function allows you to view all configured policies and commissioning
information, set APN, and reset and upgrade the firmware version.
Note: Policy file creation and burning can also be done in iWoStudio. See the iWoStudio
help manual for details.

3.3 FAQs
1. After powering on, the power indicator does not flash or light up.
Answer: Check if input voltage VIN and GND are in consistent with the silkprint on the casing.
2. After power on for three minutes, the network status indicator indicates that the
network is connected, but no data is displayed on the web page.
Answer:
1) Check that the router network is available;
2) Move the antenna of the IoT transmission terminal to a place with good signal.
3) Contact the factory to check whether the device ID is registered.
3. Data uploading doesn't match the web page display.
Answer:
1) Re-power on and upload all data again.
2) Check whether the order and device type is matching, if not, please contact the
manufacturer.
4. The indicator flashes normally but the web system displays no data.
Answer: Check the communication cable between the Modbus terminal device and IoT
transmission terminal is well connected.
5. The web system only displays data content but can't send command.
Answer: Check that the signal enabling switch of the Modbus terminal device is turned on.
