FRONT PANEL CONTROLS
1. Power - Turns iCade jr. on/off. This blinks when
in pairing mode and stays lit solid when paired
and powered.
2. Cradle - Holds iPhone®/iPod Touch® in portrait
mode.
3. Ledge - Holds iPhone/iPod touch in landscape
mode.
4. Joystick - Miniature removable four-way
joystick and d-pad.
5. Button Controls - Miniature arcade-style buttons.

DOWNLOAD APP
1. Open the App Store on your iPhone/iPod touch (not included).
2. Download any ION Arcade-compatible game. For a full list of ION Arcade
compatible games, visit: www.ionaudio.com/icadegames.
3. Tap “Install App”.
4. Follow INITIAL SETUP instructions below before launching app.
INITIAL SETUP
1. For portrait mode, place iPhone/iPod touch into the cradle so it fits securely. For
landscape mode, place iPhone/iPod touch on iCade jr.’s ledge.
2. Turn iPhone/iPod touch on and go to Settings > General > Bluetooth.
3. Slide the Bluetooth slider to "On."
4. Hold down the 4 buttons on the rear panel simultaneously for 5 seconds or until
iCade jr.’s Bluetooth light starts blinking, then release all four buttons.
5. iCade jr. will appear in iPhone/iPod touch as a Bluetooth device (not paired). Tap
to select it.
6. iPhone/iPod touch will then show iCade jr. as "Connected."
GAME ON!
1. Launch the previously installed ION Arcade-compatible app.
2. Start gaming with the awesome iCade jr.!

PAIRING WITH OTHER BLUETOOTH DEVICES
1. Power on iCade jr.
2. Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings menu to turn on Bluetooth.
3. Hold down the 4 buttons on the rear panel of iCade jr. simultaneously on iCade
jr.for 5seconds or until iCade jr.’s Bluetooth light starts blinking, then release all
four buttons.
4. Enable your phone to scan for Bluetooth devices.
5. iCade jr. will appear as “ION iCade jr.” Select it to pair it with your Bluetooth
device.
Notes:
•After a period of inactivity, iCade jr. will enter "power saver" mode. To wake it up,
simply move any of its controls. Both iCade jr. and iPhone/iPod touch will turn on
again.
•After iCade jr. is connected to iPhone/iPod touch as a Bluetooth device, you can
remove iPhone/iPod touch, move it to another location, turn it off, etc. Next time
you want to use iCade jr. with the same device, simply activate Bluetooth on your
device, turn iCade jr. on, and press any button on iCade jr. iCade jr. will reconnect
instantly with your device as long as it is within range.
•To use iCade jr. with a different iPhone/iPod touch, or to re-establish a manually
deactivated Bluetooth connection, repeat the INITIAL SETUP steps.
•Avoid storing the unit in high temperature with the batteries installed.

8. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers)
that produce heat.
9. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one
wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third
prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement
of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point
where they exit from the apparatus.
11. Only use attachment/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
12. Use only the cart, stand, tripod, bracket or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold
with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus
combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
14. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the
apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged,
liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been
exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
15. Power Sources - This product should be connected to a power supply only of the type
described in these operating instructions, or as marked on the unit.
16. Internal/External Voltage Selectors - Internal or external voltage selector switches, if any, should only be reset and re-
equipped with a proper plug for alternative voltage by a qualified service technician. Do not attempt to alter this yourself.
17. Water and Moisture - This product should be kept away from direct contact with liquids. The apparatus shall not be
exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
18. CAUTION ±Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
Batteries (a battery pack or an installed battery) shall not be exposes to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, etc.
19. Where the mains plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain
readily operable.
20. Protective earthing terminal: The apparatus should be connected to a mains socket outlet with a protective
earthing connection.

23. When moving or not using the appliance, secure the power cord (e.g., wrap it with a cable tie). Be careful not to damage
the power cord. Before using it again, make sure the power cord has not been damaged. If the power cord has been
damaged at all, bring the unit and cord to a qualified service technician for repair or replacement as specified by the
manufacturer.
24. Do not place any open or exposed flame sources (such as lighted candles) on the apparatus.
25. When disposing of the battery, follow the laws and environmental regulations of your region.

enclosure or rear panel before installing or operating the product.

xReplace critical components only with factory parts or recommended equivalents.
xFor AC line powered units ±Before returning repaired unit to user, use an ohmmeter to measure from both AC plug blades
to all exposed metal parts. The resistance should be more than 2,000,000 ohms.
