How to setup the IPCAM Secure 300R
Before accessing the IP camera, make sure that camera’s RJ-45 network cable and IP camera’s
power cable are properly installed. For setup IP address, please consult your network
administrator for available IP addresses. The default IP address of IPCAM 300R is 192.168.62.1.
And, please choose the suitable case for you by clicking the Case 1 or Case 2.
Case 1: IPCAM Secure 300R is connected to ADSL or Cable modem with static IP (without
hub/router or IP sharing device)
Case 2: IPCAM Secure 300R is connected to router or IP sharing device which is connected to
ADSL/Cable modem.
Step 1:
To configure IPCAM 300R,
you need to change some
network setting of your
system. And, to make sure
that you can connect to
internet without problem
after configuring IPCAM
300R, please make sure that
you will record all network
setting before changing.
Then, you can reverse the
setting later.
Now, let’s start. Please open
your network connection.
Click on “Property” button.
Step 2:
Please click on “Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) and then
click on “Property” button.
Case 1
Step 3:
Because the default IP
address of IPCAM 300R is
192.168.62.1, please assign
one IP 192.168.62.x (for
example, 192.168.62.8) in the
IPAddress.
Then, type “255.255.255.0”
for the “Subnet Mask”.
Then, please click on “OK”
button to confirm the change.
Step 4:
Please open your browser,
like MicroSoft IE.
Go to Tool/Option.
Step 5:
Please go to the “Connection”
tag.
Step 6:
Click on “LAN Setting”
button.
Step 7:
Please make sure that you
disable the Proxy Server.
Step 8:
Type “192.168.62.1” in the
address box.
Step 9:
Then, you should get the
dialogue box.
Please type below
information to enter into the
setting page of IPCAM 300R.
User Name: admin
Password: 1234
Step 10:
Here you can get the setting
page of IPCAM 300R.
Please click on “System
Setup” button.
Step 11:
Please roll down the bar.
Step 12:
Please enter the IP address
and all other necessary
information here.
PS. All these information
should be offered by your
network administrator
After finishing, please click
on “Apply” button.
Step 13:
When you see this message,
please click on “OK” button.
Step 14:
Then, you should be asked
the Username & Password
again. Before typing the
Username & Password,
please follow Step 1~7 to
reverse your network
setting otherwise you can’t
connect to internet and link
to IPCAM 300R.
After you reverse the network
setting, please type Username
& Password. Then, please
click on “OK” button.
Step 15:
After entering into the setting
page of IPCAM 300R, please
check if you can see the
image or not.
Step 16:
If you can’t get image, the
problem may be the security
setting of your browser.
If so, please click on
Tool/Option.
Step 17:
Click on “Security” tag.
Step 18:
Click on “Custom” button to
change the security setting.
Step 19:
Enable the ActiveX or Java in
the setting box and confirm
the change.
Step 20:
Then, refresh the website and
check if you can see the
image or not.
Note: If you are afraid the internet security and don’t want to change the setting, you may think
about adding this IP address to the list of “trust website” (please refer to the step 18).
Case 2: If you connected one or many pc and IPCAM 300R to one Router/IP Sharing machine and
share the same ADSL/Cable line, please follow below instruction to configure your IPCAM 300R.
Step 1:
After connecting IPCAM
300R to the router/IP sharing
machine, please check the
DHCP server to get the IP
Address of IPCAM 300R
now.
For this case, the IP address
of IPCAM 300R assigned by
DHCP server is
192.168.123.34.
Step 2:
To review this IPCAM 300R
via internet, please go to
DMZ setting page and allow
this IP (192.168.123.34) to be
linked via internet.
PS. Due to the different
setting of router/IP sharing
device, please consult your
network administrator for
further information about
this step.
Case 2
Step 3:
Please open your browser and
type the IP in the address box.
When you are asked the
Username/password, please
type below information.
User Name: admin
Password: 1234
Then, please click on “OK”
button.
Step 4:
After entering into the setting
page of IPCAM 300R, please
check if you can see the
image or not.
Step 5:
If you can’t get image, the
problem may be the security
setting of your browser.
If so, please click on
Tool/Option.
Step 6:
Click on “Security” tag.
Step 7:
Click on “Custom” button to
change the security setting.
Step 8:
Enable the ActiveX or Java in
the setting box and confirm
the change.
