SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. DO NOT install in an environment with too much moisture, dust or smoke as
this may result in fire of electric shock.
2. In the unlikely event that the camera should malfunction, and emit an
abnormal smell or smoke, please immediately turn the camera off and contact
your supplier.
3. Please DO NOT place this camera near a heat source to avoid risk of fire.
4. Please DO NOT install, store or use this camera in danger areas with
inflammable or explosive substances.
5. Please make sure the product is turned off when installing.
6. Please make sure you install the camera in an area with good ventilation.
7. When installing the camera, please make sure it does not face any objects
giving out a strong light as this will damage the CCD of the camera.

1. Introduction
The camera’s default resolution is Full HD 1080P, however you can change this. To
do so, turn the camera on and move the joystick left for 5 seconds to switch the
camera to 960H mode. Move the joystick right for 5 seconds to switch the camera
to back to AHD 2.0 (1080P) mode.
To access the camera menu, when the camera is on press the OSD controller in for
2 seconds. When the menu has appeared, you will be presented with the
following options:
•Lens
•Exposure
•Backlight
•White Balance
•D/N (Day/Night)
•NR
•Special
•Adjust

2. OSD Menu
2.1 Lens
Select the lens type from either DC or Manual. Use the joystick to navigate
between the options and when on the desired option, press the joystick in to
select. Selecting the DC option will bring up a sub-menu as follows:
DC
•Mode - adjust the lens mode from Indoor or Outdoor.
•Iris Speed - adjust the iris speed between 0-15.
Return: Save / End and return to the previous menu.

2.2 Exposure
The exposure menu allows you to adjust: Shutter, AGC, Sens-up, Brightness, WDR
and Defog on the camera. When selecting the exposure option, you will be
presented with the sub-menu as shown above.

•Shutter - Adjust the shutter speed on the camera (Auto, 1/25, 1/50, FLK,
1/200, 1/400, 1/1000, 1/2000, 1/5000, 1/10000, 1/50000, X2, X4, X6, X8,
X10, X15, X20, X25, X30). The shutter will only take effect when the DC
mode is selected for the lens
•AGC - Adjust the AGC between 0-15 (Default 15).
•Sens!Up – Turn the Sens-up option off or to auto. When selecting auto,
you can choose between: X2, X4, X6, X8, X10, X15, X20, X25, X30
options.
•Brightness – Adjust the brightness of the camera image from 1-100 (100
being brightest). The default setting is 40.
•D!WDR – Turn the D-WDR setting on, off or Auto. When selecting on,
you can adjust the level.
•Defog – Turn the defog option to off or auto. When selecting auto, you
can select the position, size of the defogged area and the gradation
(0/1/2).

2.3 Backlight
The Backlight option allows you to adjust the backlight options and also set the
highlight suppression (HSBLC). Choosing the Backlight (BLC) option will bring up
the menu on the top left, the HSBLC option will bring up the menu on the top
right.
•BLC – Select this option to allow objects in front of bright light to be seen
clearer by making the background darker. The level of backlight
compensation can be set (Low, middle or high) and you can also set the
area.
•HSBLC – Select this option to mask bright areas in an image. You can set
up to 4 areas on the image, choose to display a black mask, set the level
of highlight suppression and set the mode from all day or all night.

2.4 White Balance
The White Balance option allows you to set the function to AWB, ATW or AWC.
To adjust this option, go to the main menu and navigate down, then toggle right
to move through the options.
•AWB – Set the white balance to Automatic.
•ATW – Turn this function on for the camera to detect colour temperature
automatically.
•AWC—SET - Select this option to fix the white balance to a special value.
•Manual – Set the white balance to manual mode. In this option, you can
adjust the colour temperature from manual, indoor or outdoor. In each of
these options, you will need to set the blue and red gain.

This option allows you to set the camera into the day or night function. You can
choose from EXT, Auto, Colour and Black & White mode.
•D&N EXT – This option allows you to set the day & night function to be
decided by external factors, for example the IR sensor. You can set the
time delay (0-60 seconds) for when the camera goes from day to night
and night to day.
•D&N Auto – Select the auto option so that the camera will switch from
day to night mode when the camera reaches a certain lux level. Here you
can set AGC level and also time delay:
D – N (AGC): AGC Value 1-255 (Default 240).
D – N (DELAY): Delay time 0-60 (Default 1).
N – D (AGC): AGC Value 1-255 (Default 100).
N – D (DELAY): Delay time 0-60 (Default 3).
•Colour – Set the camera’s image to colour
•B/W – Set the camera’s image to Black & White. You can also set the
burst function, Smart IR function & IR PWM. When turning the IR PWM
function on, you can adjust the level from 0-100.
2.6 NR
The NR function allows you to set the Digital Noise Reduction function on the
camera. You can set the camera to 2DNR or 3DNR. You can set the level of each
from Off, Low, Middle or High.

2.7 Special
The Special option allows you to adjust various settings on the camera: Camera
Title, D-Effect, Motion Detection, Privacy Zones, Languages and RS485.
•Cam Title – This option allows you to set a camera title. When selected
you will be presented with a keyboard to select letters/numbers. Move the
joystick to navigate and press in to choose the letter/number.
•D EFFECT – You can freeze the image, set a mirror function and set a
negative image setting.
•Motion – This option allows you to set the motion detection function.
When selected, you will be presented with a sub-menu with the following
options:
oArea – Set up to 4 areas of detection
oDisplay – The selected areas can show up on screen if you set
this function to on.
oSensitivity – Adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection (0-
100). Default is 64.
oColour – Change the colour of motion detection area (Green,
Blue, White, Red).
oTrans – Set the trans option from values 1.00, 0.75 or 0.25.
oAlarm – Adjust the alarm function for when the camera detects
motion, select OSD view, alarm out, alarm signal and the amount
of time the camera detects motion before sends an alarm.
oDefault – Reset the camera to it’s default settings.

•Privacy – Turn the privacy function on or off. When selecting on, you can
set the privacy area, display, colour and trans.
•Language – Set the language for the OSD menu
•Defect – This option allows you to set Live DPC (on/off), White DPC
(on/off) and Black DPC (On/Off). On each you can set the position, size
level and AGC.
•RS485 – Set the Camera ID (0-255), ID Display (On/Off) and the Baud Rate
(38400, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200).
2.8 Adjust
The adjust option allows you to change settings to get the best image for your
needs. When entering the adjust option you will be presented with a sub-menu:
Sharpness, Monitor, LSC, Video Out.
•Sharpness – Adjust the sharpness level on the camera. You can set the
level (0-10), Start AGC (0-255) and End AGC (0-255)
•Monitor – Adjust the monitor to LCD or CRT. You can adjust the
following:
oLCD – Adjust the Black Level, Gamma, Blue Gain and Red Gain.
oCRT – Adjust the Black Level, Blue Gain and Red Gain
•LSC – Turn the LSC function on or off.
•Video Out – Choose the video option (NTSC, PAL)
2.9 EXIT
Exit the main menu and go back to the camera. You will be asked to save and exit,
exit without saving or reset the camera back to factory settings.
