The purpose is to ensure that
customers** are provi e with the
correct equipment for their nee s, that it
is installe , commissione an service
in accor ance with the manufacturer’s
instructions by competent persons
an that it meets the requirements of
the appropriate Buil ing Regulations.
Installers are require to carry out work
in accor ance with the following:
Stan ar s of Work
• Be competenl and qualified to undertake the work
required.
• Install, commission, service and use products in
accor ance with the manufactLirer's instructions provided.
• Ensure that where there is responsibility for design work,
the installation is correctly sized and fit for purpose,
• Meet the requirements of the appropriate Building
Regulations, Where this involves notifiable work be a
member of a Competent Persons Scheme or confirm that
the customer has notified Local Authority Building Control
(LABC), prior 10 work commencing.
• Complete all relevant sections of the Benchmark
Checklist/Service Record when carrying out
commissioning or servicing of a product or system.
• Ensure that the product or system is left in a safe
condition and, whenever possible, in good working order.
• Highlight to the customer eny remedial or improvement
work identified during the course of commissioning or
servicing work.
• Refer to the manufacturer's helpline where assistance is
needed,
• Report product faults and concerns to the manufacturer
in a timely manner,

Customer Service
* Show the customer any identity card that is relevant to
the work being carried out prior to commencement or on
request,
* ive a full and clear expianation/demonstration of the
product or system and its operation to the customer.
* Hand over the manufacturer's instructions, including the
Benchmark Checklist, to the customer on completion of
an installation,
* Ctitain the customer’s signature, on the Benchmark
Checklist, to confirm satisfactory demonstration and
receipt of manufacturer's in struct ions.
* Advise the customer that regular product servicing is
needed, in line with manufacturers' recommendalaons,
to ensure that safety and effciency is maintained.
* Respond promptly to calls from a customer following
completion of work, providing advice and assistance by
phone and, if neoessaiy, visiting the customer.
* Rectify any installation problems at no cost to tha
customer during the installer’s guarantee period,

The manufacturer is a license member of the Benchmark Scheme which aims to improve the stan ar s

regular servicing to optimise safety, efficiency an performance.

The installer is legally require to complete a commissioning checklist as a means of complyng with the
appropriate Buil ing Regulations (Englan an Wales).
AH installations must be notifie to Local Area Buil ing Control either irectly or through a Competent
Persons Scheme.
A Buil ing Regulations Compliance Certificate will then be issue to the customer who shoul , on receipt,
write the Notification Number on the Benchmark Checklist.
This pro uct shoul be service regularly to optimise its safety, efficiency an performance.
The service engineer shoul complete the relevant Service Recor on the Benchmark Checklist after each
service.
The Benchmark Checklist may be require in the event of any warranty work.

OPERATIN INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USER
THE GAS SAFETY (INSTALLATION AND
USE] REGULATIONS 1996.
It is the [aw that ah gas appliances
are installe by a registere person, in
accor ance with the above regulations.
Failure to install appliances correctly
coul lea to prosecution. It is in your
own interest, an that of safety, to ensure
that the law is complie with.
It is essential that the appliance is
correctly earthed. An electricity supply
of 240 V - 50 Hz fused at 3 A is required.
Rea these instructions carefully before
attempting to operate the appliance.
1.1 INTRODUCTION

is a fully automatic, wall mounte , room
seale , fan assiste range of combination
boilers. When operating in winter mo e,
the appliance provi es central heating
as require an pro uces instantaneous
hot water upon eman . When operating
in summer mo e, the central heating is
not operational however the appliance
continues to supply hot water whenever
it is require .

system boilers. The boiler is fitte with
a iverter valve which enables the boiler
to be irectly connecte to a hot water
cylin er.
1.2 APPLIANCE OPERATION

l/m - 0.5 gal/min).
The fan will start an the burner will
light at full output. If the raw off rate is
near the maximum esign flow rate the
appliance will run continuously at full
output until a tap is either turne off or
the flow rate is re uce in which case
the heat output will re uce accor ingly
to maintain a stea y temperature.
Hot water is ma e available almost
imme iately at the appliance outlet, but
the final temperature an time taken
for the hot water to reach a tap epen s
upon the potentiometer setting, the rate
at which water is rawn off, an the
length of the pipe between the boiler an
the tap.
When the tap is turne off, the appliance
will revert to C.H. mo e (if set on winter
position) otherwise the burner will be
extinguishe pen ing the next eman
for hot water.

1.3 OPERATIN INSTRUCTIONS
1.3.1 Bolier ignition Ifig. 24)
The first ignition of the boiler must
be carrie out by qualifie technical
personnel. Successively, if it is necessary
to start up the boiler again, a here strictly
to the following instructions: open the
gas tap to allow the flow of the fuel.
Move the main switch of the system
to "ON". When fuel is fe to the boiler,
a sequence of checks will be carrie
out an the isplay shows the normal
con ition of the functioning, always
in icating the pressure of the system. If
the blue luminous bar is on, this in icates
the presence ofvoltage.
N.B.: The first key press acts only to
illuminate the display, successive key
presses will be recognised to alter the
mode or value.
Winter
Press the key ^ of the controls (pos. 2)
to activate the winter mo e functioning
(heating an D.H.W.). The isplay will be
as shown in the figure.
Summer
Press the k e y ^ of the controls (pos. 2)
to activate the summer mo e functioning
(only the pro uction D.H.W.). The isplay
will be as shown in the figure.

1.3.2 Regulation
C.H. tem perature (fig. 25)
To set the temperature of the water for
heating, press the key^|| of the controls
(2). The first time the
key is presse , the SET of heating circuit
1 is selecte . The secon time it is
presse , the SET if secon zone fitte is
selecte . The isplay will be as shown in
the figure. Change the values with the
key + a n ^ ^ .
Stan ar visualisation will return to the
isplay by pressing the keyHlI again, or
after 10 secon s if no key is presse .
Regulation of the external sensor (fig. 25/a|
If an external sensor is installe , the
value of the output temperature is
automatically chosen by the system,
which quickly a justs the environmental
temperature on the basis of the external
temperature.
If you wish to change the value of the
temperature, increasing or ecreasing
that calculate automatically by the
electronic car , procee as in icate in
the prece ing paragraph.

1.3.3 Regulation D.H.W.
temperature (fig. 26)
To set the esire temperature of the
D.H.W., press the k e y ^ of the controls
(pos. 2). The isplay will be as shown in
the figure. Change the values with the key
a n ^ v '. The isplay will return
to the stan ar visualisation by pressing
the k e y ^ again, or after 10 secon s if
no key is presse .
1.3.6 To switch off the boiler (fig. 26)
In the case of a short absence, press
the key^ of the controls (pos. 2). The
isplaywill be asshown in the fig. 26.
In this way, leaving the electricity an
the fuel supply connecte , the boiler
is protecte from frost an from the
pump becoming jamme . If the boiler
is not use for a prolonge perio , it is
a visable to isconnect the electricity
supply, by switching off the main switch
of the system, an to ose the gas tap
an , if low temperatures are expecte , to
completely empty the hy raulic circuits
to avoi pipes being broken by the
formation of ice in the pipes.
1.6 ERRORS ANDSOLUTIONS
When there is a functioning error, the
isplay shows an alarm an the blue

luminous bar becomes re . Descriptions
of the errors with the relative alarms an
solutions are given below:

If the system pressure etecte is
lower than 0.5 bar, the boiler will stop
an the isplay will show "ALL 02". To
procee increase the system pressure
to between 1 an 1.5 bar.

more than 2.8 bar. Ensure that the
filling loop is turned off and the pipe
detatched. Lower the system pressure
by draining from a radiator,
if problem persists seek help from a
qualified engineer.

1.6 ROUTINE SERVICIN
To ensure continue efficient operation
of the appliance, it is recommen e that

at regular intervals. The frequency of
servicing will epen upon the particular

It is the law that any service work must
be carrie out by a Gas Safe Register
registere engineer. Ensure that the
service is recor e in the installation
gui e use an maintenance section.
1.7 ELECTRICAL SUPPLY
THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED.

The mains supply must be fuse at 3
amp.
1.8 VENTILATION
If the appliance is installe in a cabinet, it
MUST NOT be use forstorage purposes.
Any ventilation provi e for the appliance

to ensure that the vents are free from
obstructions.
1.8.1 Cleaning

Setting the time
The time of ay can be set by grasping
the outer e ge of the black ial an
turning it in a clockwise irection
until the correct time is in line with
the white pointer.
Setting the "switching time"
The "ON" perio s are set by sli ing
the blue tappets, a jacent to the
time perio s require , to the outer
e ge of the ial.
The tappets that remain at the
centre of the ial w ill be the "OFF"
perio s.
N.B.: The smallest switching time
(ON or OFF) is 15 minutes.
- To select "Timed" mo e move the
selector switch in the mi le of
the o ck face to the "Q"
position.
- To select "Constant" mo e
move the selector switch in the
mi le of the ock face to the "I"
position.
- To select "OFF" mo e move the
selector switch in the mi le
of the ock face to the "0 "
position.

When the selector is in the “AUTO” position, boiler
functioning is automatically controlle on the basis of
the temperature levels an time perio s set. The secon
selector must be in the “ RUN” position to start. The
programming proce ure is escribe below:
- Setting the time
Set the selector to the “CLOCK" position. Press “h” to
change the hour on the isplay, or “m ” to change the
minutes. To set the ay, press the "1 ^7 ” button until
the arrow is pointing to the correct ay (1 = Mon ay^ 7
= Sun ay).

- Setting the program
The time ock has 8 on tim es an 8 off times. To make
it easier to use, the time ock is supplie with 3 on
times an 3 off times alrea y set for each ay of the
week, as shown below:

NOTE: No program is set from 7 through 17.
To select programmes other than those alrea y set,
move the selector to position “P” ; “0:001” will appear
on the isplay, in which the first three igits in icate
the hour an minutes, while the fourth igit i entifies
the program number. O -numbere programs i entify
requests for operation ( ay temperature), in which case
the light bulb symbol will appear on the isplay, while
even-numbere programs i entify rops in temperature
(night). Use the "1^7” key to select the ay of the week
(from 1 to 7) or ays (1 k 5, 6 - 7; 1 k 6 or every ay if the
program is to be repeate every ay of the week). Set the
hour an minutes with the “ h” an “m” buttons. Press
“P” to store the operation in memory an go on to the
next program. Repeat the same proce ure to set the
remaining programs.
When finishe programming, set the selector to “RUN”
position.
Deleting one or more programs
The on an off time must be elete for each program
to be elete .
Set selector (2) to position “ P”. Select the esire
program with button (3), then press button (4) to elete
the ay setting (the triangular symbols for the ays
shoul go away). If part of the program is elete ,
when you set selector (2) back to the “RUN” position
an error w ill appear in the ock isplay, referring to
the program which is incorrect.
To elete all programs, put the selector in position “P”
an press buttons (3) an (5) at the same time.
Setting the SKIP function
The SKIP function eactivates programs for the next
ay an resumes regular programming 24 hours
later.
This function is useful if you w ill be out all ay an
on't nee heating.
To start this function, press button (7), which is active
only when selector (2) is in “RUN” position.
Once you have selecte the SKIP function, it w ill go into
effect at 0:00 of the next ay for 24 hours.
You cannot turn it off once it has starte , so regular
programming w ill not resume until 24 hours have
passe .
