ENGLISH
1. INTRODUCTION
You have purchased a towable sand spreader that is an ideal equipment for combating slippery streets, roads and squares.
The vehicle together with the sand spreader hitched to it form a long working machine, which is not easy to manoeuvre,
therefore, operating in small and narrow areas can be a complicated task.
This manual provides instructions on the configuration, safe operation and maintenance of the sand spreader.
NOTE: the photos and illustrations contained in the manual do not necessarily represent actual models or accessories, but
are provided only for reference and based on the latest product information available at the time of publication.
This symbol is used throughout the manual and on the warning labels for warning of possible
severe injuries. Read carefully and understand the safety instructions prior to using the vehicle
and the sand spreader. Strictly follow all the instructions and require adherence to them from
all persons using the machine!
Keep this manual for the future reference.
Refer to the product specification and check whether you have received all parts of the supply package.

2. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
The majority of accidents result from carelessness or negligence. Avoid unwanted accidents and follow the safety
instructions below.
WORDING EXPLANATION
In this manual, the words “right” and “left” designate the directions from the point of view of the driver/operator sitting
on his seat and looking forward.
TRAINING
1. Read thoroughly the safety instructions and terms of use.
2. Never allow children to operate the vehicle or the sand spreader. Never allow adult persons to
operate the vehicle or the sand spreader, if they have not received the proper training.
3. Neither the vehicle nor the sand spreader can be used, while being drunk or under the influence of the drugs that affect
the perception or reaction.
PROHIBITED ACTIONS
•Never operate the sand spreader without all the protective parts properly installed.
•Never touch any moving or rotating part, when operating the sand spreader.
•Never attempt to perform any adjustment operations, while operating the machine.
•Never carry any passenger on the sand spreader.
•Never operate the sand spreader on too steep slopes.
•Never operate the sand spreader without all safety devices installed and properly used.
•Do not operate the sand spreader before you have carefully read the whole operation manual.
•Never operate the sand spreader in the dark, unless you use artificial lighting.
•Never climb on the sand spreader.
•Never modify any accessory or any part without the written approval of the manufacturer.
MANDATORY ACTIONS
•Maintain the sand spreader regularly and check the machine every time before you start operating it.
•Reduce the speed of the vehicle, when working on a hillside or uneven terrain.
•Follow all the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer.
•Always use the individual protective gear required for each kind of equipment (goggles, ear protectors,
protective clothing).
•Always check that all components are properly installed.
•Check that the warning labels are in good condition and replace the damaged labels with new ones if necessary.
•Keep your hands and feet away from the rotating parts.
•Before transporting the sand spreader, verify that the wheel locks are in the transport position.

WARNING LABELS
The warning labels shall be present on your sand spreader. If any of these labels is missing or damaged, contact the dealer
of the sand spreader to replace the missing labels with new ones.
Meaning of warning labels
Read the instructions in the instruction manual about wearing protective
clothing, protective gloves, safety goggles, ear protectors, protective footwear
and mask.
Prior to installation or operation, read the instruction manual and make sure you have fully
understood the information.
Danger zone! Danger of collision! To ensure safety, consider the overall dimensions of the
machine, its working envelope and travel speed.
While working, keep your hands, feet and clothing away from the rotating parts.
Never attempt to install or dismantle the drive chain without first reading the user manual.
While working, keep your hands away from the moving parts.
Never attempt to remove any obstacles while working!

3. OPERATOR INSTRUCTIONS
PREPARATION
1. The manual for initial assembly is available in chapter INITIAL ASSEMBLY (p. 6).
2. Never attempt to perform any adjustment operations, while operating the machine.
3. Never attempt to operate the sand spreader, if the required covers, plates or other safety devices are not installed.
4. Always use the individual protective gear required for each kind of equipment (goggles, ear protectors, mask
…).
5. Always ensure the safe road stability of the vehicle, using for that purpose suitable accessories (chains,
counterweights etc.).
6. Always check that all components are properly installed.
7. Never modify any accessory or any part without the written approval of the manufacturer.
OPERATOR INSTRUCTIONS
1. Never place your hand or feet close to, under or between any rotating parts.
2. When working on or crossing gravel roads, pavements or motorways, be extremely careful. Consider the
potential traffic hazards. Never take on board any passengers.
3. After collision with foreign objects, thoroughly inspect the sand spreader with a view to finding possible
damages and eliminate damages before proceeding with the work.
4. Leaving the vehicle, take all possible measures of safety. Set the gear to neutral, activate the parking brake, stop
the engine and remove the ignition key.
5. Never operate the sand spreader moving along the slope, work with it moving downhill. When operating the unit
on slopes, be extremely cautious.
6. Keep unauthorised persons away from the operating area.
7. Never operate the unit at a high speed on a slippery surface. Be cautious, when reversing.
8. Never take on board any passengers.
9. Never use the sand spreader, if the visibility or illumination are not sufficient.
OPERATION
1. Make sure that the wheel locks are in working position (spreading shaft is rotating at moving).
2. Make sure that nothing prevents the moving parts from operation.
3. Select the travel speed suitable to the circumstances.
4. To manoeuvre, set the locks of the sand spreader wheels into transport position (spreading shaft is not rotating
during moving forward). Make sure that you have sufficiently much space for manoeuvring and will not put
anybody in danger!
Note
Prior to operating the sand spreader, carefully
read the instruction manual for the vehicle
(ATV/UTV)!
Note
In the working position, do not travel faster than 10 km/h.
In the transport position, do not travel faster than 15 km/h.
Never operate on a slope with a grade of over 10%.

CONTROL OF THE SPREADING QUANTITY
Spreading quantity is controlled by adjusting the tension of the springs.

TYRE PRESSURE
Check the air pressure in the tyres and adjust it to a level of 30 psi / 2.1 bar.
WEAR OF RUBBER DETAILS
From time to time, check the rubber details wear rate. As appropriate, replace the excessively worn rubbers.
LUBRICATION
Lubricate the shaft bearings every 40 operating hours via the grease fitting by using the lubricant for bearings
Note
Prior to the maintenance, assembly or disassembly of the sand spreader:
- Activate the vehicle parking brake.
- Stop the vehicle engine, remove the ignition key.

REPLACING THE RUBBER DETAILS
1. Turn the sand spreader upside down.
2. Remove the wheel locks and wheels from the sand spreader.
3. Remove the left and right cover and the regulator of the spreading quantity.
4. Remove the drive chain and the spreader shaft. Gears should not be removed.

5. Replace the rubber details. The figure shows the location of rubber details and fasteners.
6. Assemble the sand spreader in reverse order.
5. STORAGE
1. Clean the sand spreader thoroughly.
2. Paint over all those parts, on which the paint coating is worn out.
3. Write down and order the replaceable parts from the dealer/manufacturer.
4. Follow the instructions in the section about lubrication.
5. Store the sand spreader in a dry place.

6. INITIAL ASSEMBLY
NB! The part position numbers correspond to the numbers in the table of spare parts.
Step 1.
Assemble the wheels. Tyre pattern must run towards moving/pulling the sand spreader.
Step 2.
Install the locks.
Step 3.
Install the towing frame. Do not tighten the bolts!

Install the compression sprigs between the towing frame and the dispenser levers. Tighten the bolts!

Install the support tube of the towing frame.

Olet hankkinut vedettävän hiekoittimen, joka on erinomainen katujen, teiden ja aukioiden liukkauden torjuntaan.
Ajoneuvo ja siihen kytketty hiekoitin muodostavat pitkän työkoneen, jota on hankala käännellä, minkä vuoksi ahtaissa ja
kapeissa paikoissa työskentely on haasteellista.
Ohjekirja sisältää ohjeet hiekoittimen kokoamiseen, turvalliseen työskentelyyn ja huoltoon.
HUOMAA! Kaikki ohjekirjan kuvat ja kaaviot eivät välttämättä koske oman laitteesi mallia tai lisävarusteita. Kuvat ja
kaaviot ovat suuntaa-antavia ja perustuvat julkaisuhetken mukaisiin uusimpiin tuotetietoihin.
Tämä merkki varoittaa vakavan loukkaantumisen vaarasta, ja sitä käytetään tässä ohjekirjassa
ja varoitusmerkeissä. Enne ajoneuvon ja hiekoittimen käyttöä lue huolellisesti ohjeet ja

8. TURVALLISUUSOHJEET
Onnettomuudet johtuvat yleensä huolimattomuudesta ja varomattomuudesta. Pyri välttämään tarpeettomat onnettomuudet
ja noudata alla olevia turvallisuusohjeita.
SELITYKSET
Tässä ohjekirjassa käytetyt ilmaisut "oikea" ja "vasen" määritellään kuljettajanpaikalla kasvot menosuuntaan istuttaessa.
PEREHDYTYS
1. Lue turvallisuusohjeet ja käyttöehdot huolellisesti.
2. Älä koskaan anna lasten käyttää ajoneuvoa ja hiekoitinta. Älä koskaan anna aikuisten käyttää
ajoneuvoa ja hiekoitinta, jos heillä ei ole vastaavaa perehdytystä.
3. Ajoneuvoa ja hiekoitinta ei saa käyttää alkoholin tai havainnointiin ja reaktiokykyyn vaikuttavien lääkeaineiden
vaikutuksen alaisena.
KIELLETTY KÄYTTÖ
•Älä käytä hiekoitinta, jos kaikki suojavarusteet eivät ole asianmukaisesti paikoillaan.
•Älä koske yhteenkään hiekoittimen liikkuvaan tai pyörivään osaan sen toimiessa.
•Älä koskaan yritä tehdä mitään säätöjä laitteen toimiessa.
•Älä kuljeta ketään hiekoittimessa.
•Älä käytä hiekoitinta liian jyrkissä rinteissä.
•Älä käytä hiekoitinta, jos kaikki turvalaitteet eivät ole paikoillaan tai niitä ei käytetä asianmukaisesti.
•Älä käytä hiekoitinta ennen kuin olet lukenut koko ohjekirjan huolellisesti läpi.
•Älä käytä hiekoitinta pimeässä ilman riittävää keinovalaistusta.
•Älä kiipeä hiekoittimen päälle.
•Älä koskaan muuta mitään lisävarustetta tai mitä tahansa osaa ilman valmistajan kirjallista suostumusta.
PAKOLLISET TOIMINNOT
•Huolla hiekoitinta säännöllisesti ja tarkista se ennen jokaista käyttökertaa.
•Vähennä ajonopeutta, kun työskentelet rinteessä tai epätasaisessa maastossa.
•Noudata kaikkia ajoneuvon valmistajan ohjeita.
•Käytä aina sopivia henkilösuojamia (suojalasit, kuulosuojaimet ja suojaava vaatetus).
•Varmista aina, että kaikki osat on asennettu oikein.
•Varmista, että kaikki varoitustarrat ovat luettavissa – vaihda lukukelvottomat tarrat uusiin.
•Pidä kädet ja jalat turvallisen etäisyyden päässä laitteen pyörivistä osista.
•Tarkista ennen hiekoittimen kuljetusta, että pyörien lukitsimet ovat kuljetusasennossa.

VAROITUSTARRAT
Hiekoittimessa on oltava varoitustarrat. Jos joku tarroista puuttuu tai on vahingoittunut, ota yhteyttä hiekoittimen
jälleenmyyjään, jotta saat uudet tarrat.
Varoitustarrojen selitykset
Lue ohjekirjan suojavaatetusta, suojakäsineitä, suojalaseja, kuulosuojaimia,
turvajalkineita ja kasvosuojainta koskevat ohjeet.
Lue käyttöohje ja varmista, että olet ymmärtänyt kaiken lukemasi ennen laitteen asentamista
tai käyttöä.
Vaara-alue! Törmäysvaara! Huomioi laitteen ja ajoneuvon mitat, työskentelyalue ja nopeus
turvallisuuden varmistamiseksi.
Pidä kädet, jalat ja vaatteet poissa pyörivistä osista laitteen toimiessa.
Älä yritä asentaa tai poistaa käyttöketjua ennen kuin olet lukenut käyttöohjeet.
Pidä kädet poissa liikkuvista osista laitteen toimiessa.
Älä yritä poistaa esteitä laitteen toimiessa!

9. KÄYTTÖ
VALMISTELU
1. Kokoamisohjeet löytyvät kohdasta KOKOAMINEN (s. 6).
2. Älä koskaan yritä tehdä mitään säätöjä laitteen toimiessa.
3. Älä koskaan käytä hiekoitinta, jos asianmukaiset suojat, levyt tai muut turvallisuusvarusteet eivät ole
paikoillaan.
4. Käytä aina sopivia henkilösuojamia (suojalasit, kuulosuojaimet, kasvosuojain ym.).
5. Ajoneuvon turvallinen tiellä pysyminen on aina varmistettava, ja tarvittaessa on käytettävä vastaavia
lisävarusteita (ketjut, vastapainot jne.).
6. Varmista aina, että kaikki osat on asennettu oikein.
7. Älä koskaan muuta mitään lisävarustetta tai mitä tahansa osaa ilman valmistajan kirjallista suostumusta.
KÄYTTÖ
1. Älä työnnä käsiä tai jalkoja pyöriviin osiin tai niiden alle tai laita niitä ylipäänsä lähelle tällaisia osia.
2. Sorateillä, jalkakäytävillä ja tai ajokaistoilla työskenneltäessä tai niitä ylitettäessä on noudatettava erityistä
varovaisuutta. Huomioi liikenteen aiheuttamat vaaratilanteet. Älä koskaan ota ketään kyytiin.
3. Törmättyäsi esteeseen tarkista hiekoittimen mahdolliset vauriot ja korjaa ne ennen työn jatkamista.
4. Noudata kaikkia varotoimenpiteitä poistuessasi laitteen luota. Laita ajoneuvo vapaalle, kytke seisontajarru,
sammuta ajoneuvon moottori ja poista virta-avain.
5. Älä koskaan käytä hiekoitinta liikkuessasi rinnettä sivusuunnassa, vaan liiku rinnettä alaspäin. Erityistä
varovaisuutta on noudatettava laitetta rinteissä käytettäessä.
6. Pidä sivulliset poissa työalueelta, jos se on mahdollista.
7. Älä koskaan aja laitteella liian kovaa vauhtia liukkaalla tiellä. Noudata erityistä varovaisuutta peruutettaessa.
8. Älä koskaan ota ketään kyytiin.
9. Älä koskaan käytä hiekoitinta, jos näkyvyys on heikko tai valaistus puutteellinen.
TYÖOHJEET
1. Varmistu, että pyörien lukitsimet ovat käyttöasennossa (eteenpäin liikuttaessa levitysakseli pyörii).
2. Varmista, että liikkuvat osat toimivat esteettä.
3. Valitse sopiva ajonopeus olosuhteiden mukaan.
4. Liikkumiseksi säädä hiekoittimen pyörien lukitsimet kuljetusasentoon (eteenpäin liikuttaessa levitysakseli ei
pyöri). Varmista, että laitteen liikkumiseen on riittävästi tilaa ja kenenkään turvallisuus ei vaarannu!
Huomio!
Lue ajoneuvon (mönkijän) käyttöohjeet
huolellisesti ennen hiekoittimen käyttöä!
Huomio!
Ajonopeus voi olla enintään 10 km/h laitteen ollessa käyttöasennossa.
Ajonopeus voi olla enintään 15 km/h laitteen ollessa kuljetusasennossa.
Älä käytä laitetta rinteissä, joiden kaltevuus on yli 10 %.

RENGASPAINE
Tarkista renkaiden ilmanpaine ja säädä se tasolle 2,1 bar (30 psi).
KUMIOSIEN KULUMINEN
Tarkista silloin tällöin kumiosien kulumista. Tarvittaessa vaihda liikaa kuluneet kumiosat.
VOITELU
Voitele akselin laakereita 40 työtunnin välein voitelunipan kautta käyttäen laakereille tarkoitettua voiteluainetta.
Huomio!
Ennen hiekoittimen huoltoa, kokoamista tai purkamista:
- kytke ajoneuvon seisontajarru päälle
- sammuta ajoneuvon moottori ja irrota avain virtalukosta.

KUMIOSIEN VAIHTO
1. Käännä hiekoitin ympäri.
2. Poista hiekoittimesta pyörien lukitsimet ja pyörät.
3. Poista vasemman- ja oikeanpuolinen suoja ja levitysmäärän säädin.

5. Vaihda kumiosat. Piirroksessa on näytetty kumien ja kiinnitysosien sijainti.
6. Kokoa hiekoitin päinvastaisessa järjestyksessä.
11.VARASTOINTI
1. Puhdista hiekoitin perusteellisesti.
2. Maalaa kaikki sellaiset osat uudelleen joiden maalipinta on kulunut.
3. Kirjoita ylös ja tilaa jälleenmyyjältä/valmistajalta vaihdettavat osat.
4. Noudata tässä käyttöohjeessa annettuja voiteluohjeita.
5. Säilytä hiekoitinta kuivassa paikassa.
