To attach the local 4G WAN antenna
Warning Do not install an 8.15 dBi antenna directly on
the CCU. Antenna installation directly on the CCU will
compromise mechanical integrity and will not meet the
compliance requirement for a loss of 2.2 dB.
1. Remove the 4G WAN antenna from the main CCU
shipping box.
2. Attach the 4G WAN antenna on the N-Connector on
the bottom of the CCU labeled WAN.
To remove the mounting disk (wall-
mount only)
Note Do not remove the mounting disk assembly if
you are mounting the device on a pole, pipe, or tower.
•To mount the CCU100 using the Itron-supplied wall-
mounting brackets, remove the mounting disc disk,
washer, lock washer, and bolt from the back of the
CCU.
Removing this assembly will not compromise the device's
weatherproofing.
To install the battery
Note A battery is not installed in solar units.
1. Insert the battery connector into the connector on the
CCU 100.
2. Align the edges of the ferrite bead with the edges of
the recess in the battery well.
3. Press the ferrite bead into the recess in the battery
well.
4. Place the battery in the battery well as shown in the
following illustration.

unprovisioned WANs only)
Use the following instructions if you choose to provision the
CCU's WAN modem to your corporate cellular account.

the unit adjacent to the main antenna connector.
2. Request provisioning by sending an email to the
