USING INSTRUCTION

Crimp Contact
1. Squeeze the handles until the ratchet releases and the handles fully open, insert the contact.
2. Insert the stripped wire into the contact.
3. Squeeze the tool handles together until the ratchet releases, then allow the tool handles to
fully open.
4. Remove the crimped contact from the tool

MAINTENANCE
1.Clean tool and remove debris regularly.
2.Use GAGE in Dial Position 4/20 to check wear annually under normal conditions. Check more
often with high volume use.

4-indent, 8-impression crimping
HD-2612D is designed according to M22520/1-01 and AS22520/1-01. On this basis, it comebines HDT-48-00
with specified wire range of 12AWG through 26AWG. It's used for crimping Deutsch Solid Pin & Socket Contacts
applicable to Deutsch DT, DTP, DTM, DTHD, Hd30, HDP20, DRC, Hd10, DRB, Jiffy Splice series connectors.

(1) Use 1.5 dial position for these contacts on 14 AWG.
(2) PN2325529-1 (pin) is gold plated and identified by BROWN, BROWN, BROWN stripes.
PN 2325584-1 (socket) is gold plated and identified by BROWN, BROWN, BLUE stripes.
PN 2325531-1 (pin) is gold plated and identified by BROWN, BROWN, BLACK stripes.
PN 2325530-1 (socket) is gold plated and identified by BROWN, BROWN, GREEN stripes.
(3) PN 0460-215-16** and 0462-209-16** can be identified by GREEN stripe.
CRIMP
Wire Preparation
1.Strip the wire to the appropriate length as shown in Table 1.
2.Check for missing or nicked / damaged strands after wire is stripped.
3.Before crimping, verify sufficient wire length by checking that ALL wire strands are INSIDE crimp barrel and
visible at the inspection hole as shown in Figure 1.3.
0.025-0.100 inch GAP
[0.63-2.54mm] between

Strands should be visible
through inspection hole.
Crimp must be CENTERED between end
of wire barrel and inspection hole.

Tool Adjustment
1.Cycle tool to open handles.
2.Remove lock clip.
3.Raise and rotate dial to select wire size.
4.Replace lock clip.

Three locator has different internal diameter, choose the proper size correct according to the terminal you use.
To avoid DAMAGE, ALWAYS check Dial Position BEFORE
Crimping (crimping LARGE wire at a small setting may
permanently damage the tool).
