cableperfectly,withstandardRS232 interface,soitcan beeasilyadoptedfor
industrialmachineswithRS232interface.XC4130 iscompatiblewithall Bluetooth
V.2.0-certifiedandisbackwardcompatiblewithv1.1/1.2devices.Youcanconnect
yourcomputers(Master)withRS232devices(Slave)100metersawaywithout
cablesinyourworkingenvironments.

The connectorforantennaisstandard ReverseSMAjack.Simplyconnect
to2.0dBidipoleantenna and 50Ohmsimpedancewhichcansupport

Set-upButton
The purposeisforsynchronizingbetweenXC4130deviceand “BTRS232
ConfigTool”software.Afterfinishingsetupparameterof “BTRS232Config
Tool”software,whenyou clickiconof “Connect”in “BTRS232ConfigTool”
software,pleaseuseanypointtiptopushthisbuttonimmediatelyon left
side ofdevice.The iconof “Connect”willturninto “Disconnect”which
meansthedeviceisactivated successfully.

XC4130 Hardware Installation
1.ConnectXC4130 BluetoothadaptertoCOMPortofPCandthentoconnect
DC poweradapterandjackintopoweroutletandDC-inoutlet.Youwill see
the redLEDisgoingtobeonand the greenLCDwill beblinked.
2.After runningtheBTRS232ConfigTooland finishconfiguration.Clickthe
iconof “Connect”intoolsoftwareand presstheSET-UPbuttonofXC4130
Bluetoothadapterimmediately.
3.The green LEDwillbeturnon.The E-BT232Bluetoothadapterwill be
activated.Thereare twotypesofRS232 devicesinfield.One isDTE-Data
TerminalEquipment(suchasPC)andtheotheroneisDCE-Data
Communication Equipment(suchasModem).Youcansetup yourE-BT232
deviceaswhattypeoftheRS232 deviceyouare going toconnectinDTEor
DCEmode toworkwithit.
AtDCEdevicesideismeaning toconnectDTEE-BT232tothe remoteDCE
RS232device(suchasModem). Onthecontrary,DTEdevicesidetoconnect
DCEE-BT232ofanyDTEdevice,suchascomputerdevice.For example,
youcan connectremotemodemwithDTEE-BT232 and meanwhileatPC
side,youcaneitherconnectDCEE-BT232.

BT RS232 Config ToolInstallation&Setup
When setting upXC4130 adapterforthe firsttime,youhavetoinstall and run
“BT1.exe”as “BTRS232configtool”firstinyourcomputerdevice.TheutilityCD
isenclosedinthedevicebox.BeforeusingXC4130adapter,youhavetopairit
withanotherE-BT232 device.
All the XC4130BluetoothtoRS-232 Adaptersmustbe configuredbeforeusing.
The purposeofconfiguration istopairtwoXC4130devicesfor anexclusive
connectionbetweenthemandpairingdonebyutilizingBluetoothaddress andPIN
code.
lTool Installation
When settingupXC4130adapterfor thefirsttime,pleaseinstall theutility
softwareof “BTRS232configtool”firstwhichisanexecutableprogramin
Windows32bitenvironments.XC4130configtoolisusedtodetectand
setupthe installed.

DoubleclicktheiconofBT1as “BTRS232ConfigTool”,the
configuration screen will pop-up astheabovepicture.
A.COMPort
SelectCOMport number, youhavetoavoidthe portconflict withother
devicesincomputerand useportnumber isavailable.
B.Device Name
Selectdevicename toidentifyeachdeviceandyou canfollowthe
namebytoolaccess orretypingthenewnamebyyourself.
C.Local Address
Localaddresswill bechanged automaticallyafterfinishingthe
parameterconfiguration.
D.PeerAddress
Peeraddress fortwoormore devicestocommunicateinasame
networkaddress.

E.PINCode
PINcodefor the purposeofsecurityconsiderationduring aslikea
passkey.Deviceusesthis “PINCode”toidentifyduringconnecting
andcommunication.
F.Role
Roleisforidentifying roleofthedeviceasmasteror slave.The itemof
“Role”is “Master”,thedevicewill playlikeDTEmode -DataTerminal
Equipment(suchasPC). Ifthe itemof “Role”is “Slave”anddevicewill
playlikeDCE-DataCommunicationEquipment(suchasModem).
Youcansetupyour E-BT232 deviceasthe type ofRS232 deviceyou
aregoing toconnect inDTEor DCEmodetoworkwith.
G.Discoverable
The itemofdiscoverableisforallowing(ornot)thedevicedetected by
other Bluetoothdevices.
H.BaudRate
The itemofbaud rateisforthepacktransmission speed.Thebaud
raterangefrom1200bps 115.2Kbpsanddependontransmission
distanceandenvironments.Normally,theparameterofbaud rateis
sat around9600bpsN, 8,1.

The itemof stop bit satat the “One Bit”item.
K.Parity
The itemof paritysat atthe “None”item.

Apply Connect”
Afterfinishingtheparametersconfiguration,clicktheiconof “Connect”in
BTRS232ConfigToolscreenandmeanwhilepresstheSET-UPbutton
immediatelyontheleft side ofthedevice.And then the nextscreen of
parametersconfigurationpop-up.The icon of “Connect”changesto
“Disconnect”andtwoiconswill beturned intoactivemode on the bottomof
the BT232 ConfigToolscreen.

Apply Write”
Clickthe bottomof “Write”,meanssaving all parametersafter configuring into
the “BTRS232ConfigTool”.
Apply Read”
Clickthebottomof “Read”,meanstoloadingallparametersaslastsaving
fromthe “BT232ConfigTool”. Thelocaladdress will beupdatedasthereal
deviceaddress atfirsttime.
