ABOUT
RECEPTION
The
quality
of
reception
you
will
receive
from
the
JENSEN
TV920
antenna
will
vary
depending
on
the
antenna's
location.
For
best
results,
do
not
place
the
antenna
near
large
metal
objects,
near
electrical
appliances,
or
directly
on
top
of
a
TV
set.
Other
variables,
which
are
unrelated
to
antenna
performance,
can
influence
your
TV
reception.
These
variables
include
distance
from
the
transmitting
source,
and
man-made
and
natural
‘atmospheric
conditions,
such
as
weather
changes
and
trees
or
buildings
nearby.
It
may
be
necessary
to
experiment
with
different
antenna
locations
to
achieve
the
best
possible
reception.
The
coaxial
cable
is
intentionally
not
permanently
attached
to
the
antenna
in
order
to
facilitate
longer
cable
lengths
if
necessary.
OPERATING
AND
ADJUSTING
THE
ANTENNA
For
best
reception
of
TV
VHF
(channels
2-13),
UHF
(channels
14
and
up)
or
FM
radio
signals:
1.
Turn
on
the
TV,
VCR
or
stereo
tuner
and
select
the
desired
station.
2.
Position
the
antenna
until
you
get
the
best
possible
reception.
3.
Once
the
optimum
antenna
position
has
been
located,
adjust
the
amplifier
by
turning
the
“GAIN”
knob
on
back
of
the
antenna
clockwise
to
increase
the
amplification,
or
counter-clockwise
to
decrease
the
amplification.
The
amount
of
amplification
necessary
will
vary
from
station
to
station,
depending
on
your
proximity
to
the
transmission
tower
for
the
station.
