days or more when possible to maximize
battery life
- Never store your battery more than (1)
week fully charged (see following pages for
more details).
Note
Failure to follow the following charging guidelines may result in electrocution, fire, and or
explosion.
WARNING
Charger connection
Do not use power strips or other devices to connect more than (1) charger. Each charger
requires 1000W+ a standard 110V 15A U.S. household outlet can support (1) charger per circuit.
Consult a certified electrician if your are unsure of your particular wiring.
Use only the supplied charger power cord, standard cables are smaller and may result in failure
and possible fire.
If an extension cord is needed to locate the battery/charger in a safe charging location, use a 12/3
or larger cord 50’ or less in length.

In a secure location away from all flammable materials locate an appropriate power outlet. Verify
charger input voltage located on the top label. The AC voltage will be indicated by a red box next
to either 90~130 or 200-260.
With the charger switch in the OFF position connect the charger to wall. Next with the battery
power switch in the OFF position connect the charger to battery (yellow plug/recpt) make sure
the plug is correctly oriented before connecting.
Next switch the power switch located under the power cable from the wall to the ON position.
LEDs located on the front should be (left) green and right (red) indicating the charger is not
charging. LCD should display voltage with the front switch in the UP position and charge rate in
the DOWN position. Voltage should indicate approximately 58V and charge rate should be ar or
near 0.00.
With everything fully connected switch the battery power switch to the ON position. The green
light should change to red (both red while charging). The voltage should now have decreased
under load, this will typically vary depending on how depleted the battery is between 50V~58.8V.
Switching the front switch down should indicate the charge rate between 18.0 and 0.5 amps.
Once fully charged the left LED will return to green. Switch the battery power switch to OFF
followed by the charger power switch to OFF. You can now disconnect the battery from the
charger, and then the charger from the wall.

BATTERY STORAGE
The battery should never be left fully charged when not in use for an extended period of time. If
storing for more than (1) week make sure and discharge your battery to between 50%~53V.
When charging to store the chager should be stopped when it reads aprox 55V. The battery level
should then be checked every 60 days (or more where possible) to ensure it still retains above
40% (52V).
When storing your battery, the life can also be dramatically affected by the storage temperature.
Always store your battery in a cool bry secure area, and out of the reach of children.

know before you go
It is the operator’s sole responsibility to know and follow any and all rules / regulations related to
operation in any given water way.
Each state / country and sometimes even county or specific water way can have their own
regulaion so its critical to contact the proper authorities prior to operation.
If you should need help with classification or clarification on specifics of KYMERA to gain approval
for your local waterway please contact your local representative we will be happy to help.
new board break in
Do not operate your board out of the water. This is particularly important prior to break in.
During the first hours of operation its critical to allow all components to properly wear in. This is
accomplished by simply taking care to run the board through its full RPM range repeatedly to full
power, avoiding prolonged (more than a few minutes at a time) full power operation for the first
2~3 charge cycles. Peak efficiency is typically achieved after 5~6 cycles.
LAunching kymera
Whenever possible use stands or other means to prevent the board from resting directly on the
ground. This will reduce the chance of debris entering the pump and or hull.
turning your board on
- Adult supervision is required
Once the plug is fully seated, verify the throttle trigger is in the full forward position
(OFF position).
Next, switch the battery to the ON position.
After switching the main power to ON, the board will then verify throttle position and arm. This
will take 5~10 seconds and you will hear 3 to 4 beeps. Once the beeps stop, the board is armed
and ready to use. Make sure that during the arming process the throttle is not moved or
activated.

launching kymera
- Adult supervision is required
Ensure a USCG approved life vest is properly worn and secured before entering the water.
Verify the hatches are secured and place the board in the water. Once in knee to waist deep
water press up and down on the tail of the board repeatedly, flushing water through the pump
clearing any sand or debris that may have entered. This critical step will prevent damage from
scoring the inside of the pump housing.
Once flushed, with both hatches secured, veridy your lifejacket is secured and you are free to
board from either side of the rear. Pulling yourself center of the board, the knee pockets at the
rear will help with proper placement. The handles can be used to adjust your position but be
minidful of the throttle trigger located on the right handle is not inadvertently activated.
Once comfortable, gently pull the throttle located on the right handle and the board will begin to
move forward. A quick glance on the right and left side of the board to verify cooling water flow.
A small stream of water on either side should be visible coming from small silver fittings on the
board.
riding kymera
- Adult supervision is required
Be mindful of your surroundings and distance to shore. Kymera should never be operated
further from the shore than the riders physical ability to swim unless a support vessel is present.
Steering the board is accomplished with a combination of shifting weight and foot placement
(acting as rudders).
At low speed the riders weight should be shifted further to the tail and will require more foot
rudder steering. Having the weight further back will also lift the nose and prevent submersion
while improving steering.
As the board picks up speed, the rider should shift their weight forward proportionate to speed.
IE at full power a riders best position is typically will their chest all the way to or near the front
hatch.
When slowing down do so progressively, and shift your weight back towards the tail to avoid
water coming over the bow.
Keep in mind the board will react differently depending on how the riders weight is shifted both

USER AND SAFETY MANUAL - kymera
from side to side and front to back. Also shifting more weight on a knee will react differently than
just leaning.
The learning curve can typically take from 5~20min but quickly becomes extremely intuitive, and
soon it will feel as though simply thinking a direction will cause the deisred reaction. This
symbiotic system provides a much more engaging experience as you hone your skills and
develop your own style of riding.
When riding always use the 2/3rd’s rule, never using more than 1/3rd power on the way out
leaving 2/3rd’s energy for the ride back. Changing wind and current conditions can require more
energy on the way back. Take special precaution and turn back immediately if conditions begin to
deteriorate.
The board’s battery meter displays bothe battery coltage as well as a bar graph showing power
remaining. 58V is fully charged, 50V should be considered fully depleted.
When the battery is depleted, emergency reserve power will activate providing approximately
3mph of power for approximately 20min. This should be used only in emergency situations and
not counted in 2/3rd’s riding plan.

FINISHING RIDE
- Adult supervision is required.
At the end of your ride proceed slowly back to shore watching out for obstructions. Once to
shore maneuver the board back onto land. Once sitting securely on land open the front hatch
and power off the battery. Allow a few seconds after switching off until the LEDs on the controller
turn off. Next remove the power plug and lower the locking bar.
Once free lift the front of the battery while sliding forward, reversing the installation process.
Once the battery is removed from the board any water in the hull can be drained by standing the
board up on end and board is ready to be transported.
KYMERA maintenance
- Adult supervision is required.
Properly cleaning and maintaining your Kymera body board is important to the longevity of the
product.
Do not ride Kymera in shallow water, or in water with high particulate (sand/dirt).
After each use, remove battery and drain the board completely. Spray board with clean water
inside and out. Avoid submerging electronics by tipping the board nose up allowing water to
drain out of the rear.
With the battery unplugged and removed, ensure that the jet-pump and impeller are clean and
clear. Carefully remove foreign material if any.
Proper lubrication is critical to performance and should be performed at regular monthly
intervals when in regulat use and before storage (Lucas Oil 10682 Marine Grease or
comparable). When operatinf in saltwater weekly or more is advised to clear any trapped
moisture. There are two grease fitting (1) inside the rear hatch and (1) inside the pump. Make
sure to loosen the grease gun collect to make disconnection easier. Do not forcefully remove the
grease hose damage may result. If the gun should become stuck continue loosening the collect
until it releases.

problems during use
If for any reason you believe your battery may have become damaged, do not attempt to open
or modify it in any way. Discontinue use, move it to a safe location if possible and contact your
local Kymera representative for assistance.
If for any reason moisture is found in the electronics housing do not attempt to open or modify
it in any way. Discontinue use and contact your local Kymera representative for assistance.
If at any time during operation there is a noise or reduction of power that seems out of place,
reduce power and return to the nearest safe shore location.
When in doubt, power the board off and wait 10 seconds, power it back on and proceed if
possible.
In some instances, the pump may become fouled with debris, before attempting to remove any
such obstruction the board must be powered off and battery completely removed from the
board to ensure the pump can be accessed safely.
If at anytime while riding there is a loss of power, remain calm and move from the prone to
seated position on the board to improve your visibility on the water. Scan the area around to
ensure you are in a safe place.
Once safe and seated open the front hatch of the board and check the position of the power
switch. This switch also serves as the system breaker. Should the system become over taxed,
either by obstructed jet or other issues this switch will automatically flip to off to protect the
system. Reset the breaker by opening and reclosing.
In some cases it may require a few minutes to cool off before it will reset. Once reset you will
again hear the arming tones and the board should be ready to use. Proceed with caution and
slowly return to a safe location on shore. Once there, power down the system, remove the
battery and verify the pump is clear of obstruction. Once confirmed clear, with the battery still
removed, remove the rear hatch and manually turn the motor / shaft to ensure it turns freely.
Every effort should be make to prevent submerging the front hatch of the board. Doing so will
result in taking on water reducing performance and in the worst case scenario, exceeding the
bilge drain capacity resulting in a loss in flotation sinking the board.
11

USER AND SAFETY MANUAL - kymera
Repeated, prolonged submersion may also result in water ingress through the throttle control
cable. This may result in throttle malfunction or failure. If the board has been subjected to such
conditions the board should be inspected and cleared of any water and dried completely before
continuing operation.
(4) screws located on each side of the
throttle box may be removed to inspect
for ingress. Do not over tighten when
re-installing.
