The following safeguards exist to ensure the safety of users and to avoid potential risks.
Ignoring these safeguards can cause damage to the printer and its environment.
【1】Do not place the Artist-D 3D Printer near flammables, explosives or heat sources. It is
best to place it in a well- ventilated, low-dust environment.
【2】Adult without any professional training, children under 10 years of age should not
use the printer without supervision.
【3】Take care to avoid touching hot parts, including but not limited to heat blocks,
extruder nozzle, extruded filament, or the hot bed.

Product Introduction
【4】Do not put your hands into the printing box during the printing, to avoid physical
injury.
【5】Use the filaments recommended by the manufacturer so as to avoid clogs in the hot
end, or damages to the printer.
【6】Do not use any other power cable, other than the one supplied. Use a grounded power
outlet.
【7】Do not keep the nozzle or bed working continuously more than 96 hours at high
temperature, ensure 1~3 hours break.
【8】Make sure the SD card is removed before turning on the printer.
【9】Do not insert the Micro SD card frequently during the operation. Keep 10s powering
off before inserting new card.
【10】When printer is not in use for extended periods of time, power off the printer and
disconnect the adapter from the outlets.
【11】To protect against electrical shock, do not put the printer body, cord, or electrical
plug in liquid. If the printer falls into liquid, do not touch it. Instead, unplug the
printer from power outlet, then remove it immediately. Do not reach into the liquid
without unplugging the printer first.
【12】It is highly recommended to keep the package material for further movement and
storage.

(1) Remove the parts from the box. Note that
the base and gantry units are preassembled at
the factory.
(2) Put the gantry noto the base, and make
sure the gantry bottom is properly inserted in
the base slot to ensure the stability of the
frame.
(3) Lift the base and install the screws
through the base into the threaded holes in the
gantry, then tighten with wrench.
Note: Over-tightening may deform the frame.
Put the Printer on a flat surface after the gantry is installed, then install the Z-tensioning idler
on top of gantry. Make sure the idler gear faces the rear of the Printer, and the timing belt is
properly inserted in the geared slot. Then tighten the thumb screw.
Note: The belt should be tighten enough that it doean’t slip, but not too tight. Adjust
tension by tightening or loosing the screw on the back of the idler.
Install the gantry onto the base.
Install Z-Tensioning idler to the top of gantry
Assembly Process

6
(1) Attach the spindle to a spool holder using the screw provided.
(2) Attach the spool holder to the top of gantry with two thumb screws. Repeat the process
to install the other spool holder.
Note: Threaded holes for thumb screws are located on the gantry at the positions shown.
Install the gantry onto the base
Mount brush box under each extruder nozzle. Secure with the provided thumb screws. Do not
install the brush boxes backwards, please refers to the label on the box. The side with brush
should face inside, to ensure the nozzles can be cleaned when moved to the home position.
Note: The thumb screw might be replaced with screw in different production batches,
these are subject to change without prior notice.

Bed leveling
The bed has been leveled at the factory, but after shipping and assembly, you may need to
level it again by following these steps:
Home X, Y, and Z axes: Press and rotate the control knob to select:
Motion > Auto Home.
The
bed and nozzles move to ZERO point.
Move to level center: Select Motion > Bed leveling > Level Corners. The extruder 1 will move
to the center of the bed.
Adjust the center gap: Put the PET leveling tape on the hot bed under the nozzles. Make sure
it can be slide with just a tiny bit of drag. Adjust the gas by tightening or loosing the thumb
screw of the Z-axis limit switch.
Adjust the remaining four corners:
Select
Next.
Nozzle moves to remaining corners for adjust-
ment. Use the PET leveling tape to check the leveling, adjust the knob at that corner to make
sure the tape can slide smoothly between with just a bit of friction.
Tips:
In the center, adjust the gap between the hot end and the nozzle by rotating the
thumb screw of the Z-axis limit switch. At each corner, turn the adjustment knob
counter-
closewise
to increase
the distance between hot bed and nozzle or turn closewise to
decrease the distance.

10
Filamentloading
Heat the nozzle: Press and rotate the Control knob to Prepare >Preheat PLA >Preheat PLA
END to heat the nozzle according to the temperature range of the filament you are going to
use. (Reference Temperature: PLA: 200˚C, ABS: 240˚C)
Load the filament: Once the nozzle reaches the target temperature, place the filament onto the
spool holder. Feed the end of filament through the filament sensor, then into the small hole at
the top of the extruder, until it comes out of the nozzle smoothly.
Note:
There are two extruder nozzles, load filament in each if you plan to use both.
