This filter pump system has been manufactured to the highest quality
standards, and will provide seasons of clean, sparkling-clean water
activity in your new Prompt Set Pool, Round Steel Frame Pool, Oval
Steel Frame Pool and Rectangular Steel Frame Pool. Here is Jilong lter

This filter pump system manual will provide you with all of the easy
instructions you need to follow in order to set up and operate this state-
of-the-art lter pump system efciently.
In addition to set-up instructions and operational guidelines, we have
also included several very important Warning and Caution statements
that pertain to the safe use and enjoyment of this new filter pump
system. It is very important that you take the time to read them all and
share them with any individuals that will ultimately be enjoying the use
of your pool.
Please make certain that you read and understand the information
contained in this Manual prior to initial use.
Safety instructions
When installing and using this electrical equipment, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1) READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS;
2) WARNING-To reduce the risk of injury, do not permit children to use
this product unless they are closely supervised at all times;
3) WARNING – Risk of Electric Shock. Connect only to a grounding
type receptacle. This product is provided with a ground-fault circuit-
interrupter. If replacement of the plug or cord is needed, use only
identical replacement parts;
4) For US market only, the unit is provided with a ground-fault
circuit-interrupter (GFCI). To test the GFCI, push the test button. The
GFCI should interrupt power. Push the reset button. Power should
be restored. If the GFCI fails to operate in this manner, the GFCI
is defective. If the GFCI interrupts power to the pump without the
test button being pushed, a ground current is owing, indicating the
possibility of an electric shock. Do not use this pump. Disconnect
the pump and have the problem corrected by a qualied service
representative before using;
5) The unit must be connected only to a supply circuit that is protected
by a ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI). Such a GFCI should be
provided by the installer and should be tested on a routine basis. To test

the GFCI, push the test button. The GFCI should interrupt power. Push
the reset button. Power should be restored. If the GFCI fails to operate
in this manner, the GFCI is defective. If the GFCI interrupts power to the
pump without the test button being pushed, a ground current is owing,
indicating the possibility of an electric shock. Do not use this pump.
Disconnect the pump and have the problem corrected by a qualied
service representative before using;
6) Do not bury cord. Locate cord to minimize abuse from lawn mowers,
hedge trimmers, and other equipment;
7) WARNING – To reduce the risk of electric shock, replace damaged
cord immediately;
8) WARNING – To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use extension
cord to connect unit to electric supply; provide a properly located outlet;
9) CAUTION – This pump is for use with storable pools only. Do not use
with permanently-installed pools. A storable pool is constructed so that it
is capable of being readily disassembled for storage and reassembled to
its original integrity. A permanently-installed pool is constructed in or on
the ground or in a building such that it cannot be readily disassembled
for storage;

Installation Instructions
Set up your Storable Pool exactly. Fill it completely with water.
Position the lter pump unit at least 8 inches below the highest water
level in the pool.
And keep the lter pump at least 2 feet away from the sidewall of the
pool.
Place lter cartridge into the body of the lter pump.
Make certain that the filter chamber rubber gasket is placed in the
seal groove on the top of the lter pump.
Screw on lter chamber cover onto top of the body of lter pump by
hand.
Connect the hoses same as the Installation illustration, fixture the
pump to the wall of pool. Remember to use hoseclamp, tighten it
secondly with screwdriver.
Open both wall plug caps (P13)on the inside of the pool an plug in a
strainer(P14)for each.
Allow time for lter pump chamber to full with water. Never operate the
lter pump dry.
Connect electrical power cord into a grounded receptacle protected
by a ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).Please contact a qualied
electrician for verification purposes and/or installation of a GFCI
receptacle if necessary.

Operating Instructions
The filter pump will prime itself as long as it is positioned at least 8
inches below the highest water level is a relief valve located on the
top of the pump. Simply turn the valve knob counter-clockwise, and
when a small amount of water escapes, close immediately by turning
clockwise. The pump will now be completely primed.
Never operate the filter pump dry. This can cause damage to seals
which may result in leakage and/or ooding.
Prior to each use, check to ensure that all hose-clamps are tightened.
Prior to each use check to ensure that both inside wall plug caps(P13)
are open and strainer(P14)have been installed properly.
To prevent possible electric shock, do not attempt to plug in electrical
power cord with wet hand or while standing in water.
The lter pump must operate in the upright, vertical position.
The filter pump must be positioned on level, stable ground. And the
use of a riser or elevated platform is not expected.
Once you have conrmed turn on the pump by plug its electrical cord
into a ground fault circuit interrupter outlet.
To preserve the full life of the pump and to keep the pool filtered
properly , your pump should be run approximately 4 to 6 hours per day.
Overuse may cause overheating and/or motor burnout. Use good
judgment on extremely days and be mindful of running the lter pump
continuously for an extended period of time.
GFCI Test(Only For US Marketing)
The unit is provided with a ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI). To
test the GFCI, push the test button. The GFCI should interrupt power.
Push the reset button. Power should be restored. If the GFCI fails to
operate in this manner, the GFCI is defective. If the GFCI interrupts
power to the pump without the test button being pushed, a ground
current is owing, indicating the possibility of an electric shock. Do not
use this pump.
Disconnect the pump and have the problem corrected by a qualied
service representative before using.
WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. The GFCI plug must be
tested before each use.
WARNING: Insert the GFCI plug into a properly power receptacle only.
WARNING: Before inserting the plug into a power receptacle, make
sure the current rate of the power receptacle and the xed wiring are

suitable for the lter pump. Contact a qualied electrician if you cannot
verify.
Insert the plug into the power receptacle. (1)
Press the "RESET" button. The indicator light should turn red. (2)
Then press the "TEST" button. The indicator light should disappear. (3)
WARNING: Do not use if above test fails.
Finally, press the "RESET" button again. The indicator light should turn
red. The lter pump is ready for use. (4)
General Maintenance
To avoid dangerous or fatal electrical shock hazard, always disconnect
power to the unit before attempting to clean pump.
There is no need for any regular mechanical maintenance of the pump
unit. (Do not attempt to disassemble the pump motor at any time).
If necessary, clean outside of pump with a mild detergent and water,
rinsing off with a hose.
There is no need for the use of any lubricants on the pump.
Do not use solvents clean the filter cartridge, as they will cause
damage to the plastic components inside the pump.
Cleaning and Replacement
The filter cartridge in your pump filter system should be replaced
approximately once per month.
Periodically cleaning of your filter cartridge can enhance the
effectiveness of your lter pump and moderately prolong the cartridge’s
lifespan prior to replacement.
Keep the power be disconnecting to the unit when cleaning the filter
cartridge.
Remove the Strainers(P14)inside of the pool, and close the caps of the
pools Wall Plugs(P13).
Turn the Air Vale Screw to release the air suction inside.
Remove the Filter Chamber Cover and the filter chamber rubber
gasket, and then take out the lter cartridge.

Clean the filter cartridge with a garden hose using a direct powerful
waterspray.
If the lter cartridge cannot be cleaned effectively in this manner, it is
time to replace it with a new cartridge.
Your clean (or new) cartridge can be put back into the lter chamber
and you can refer to the installation instruction on page 3 to re-
assemble the lter pump unit.
Trouble Shooting Guide
PUMP DOES NOT OPERATE:
Check to make sure pump unit power cord is plugged into GFCI outlet
properly.
Check to GFCI for proper operation according to GFCI manufacturer’s
instructions.
Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers.
Check to see if motor is too hot, this may cause overload and
shutdown.
MOTOR RUNS, BUT DOES NOT PUMP WATER OR WATERFLOW
IS TOO SLOW:
Check for possible obstructions inside of intake hose or discharge hose
inside of pool wall.
Tighten all hose clamps.
Check all hoses for possible damage.
Clean or replace lter cartridge.
PUMP LOSES PRIME
Make sure there are no leaks in connection hoses.
Clean or replace lter cartridge.
FILTER DOES NOT CLEAN POOL
Check PH and chlorine level in pool, following the instructions of your
local pool supply retailer.
Clean or replace cartridge.
Check for holes in cartridge. Replace if necessary.
Try running lter pump for a longer period of time each day.
Clean the debris (that may have gathered) away from strainer screen
at pool wall

LIMITED WARRANTY
ATTENTION CUSTOMER - Please read this statement carefully and keeps your
original store receipt along with this warranty certicate at all times. Your receipt
is required as proof of purchase and to verify the length of your pool ownership.
We warrant all components contained in this filter pump against defects in materials
and workmanship under normal use and service, for a period of 365 days from the date
of purchase for the original owner only. If any of the components have been consumer-
replaced, damaged, or misused, the corresponding warranty on those components is
invalidated. In this situation, you will be advised of the cost of replacement parts and
processing instructions. Please register warranty within 30 days of purchase on www.
jilong.com in order to validate your warranty.
If a veriable manufacturing defect is found during the relevant time period, we agree
to repair or replace at its option any Pumps under warranty provided proper proof of
purchase is presented.
This limited warranty is not valid if the pool is used for commercial purposes, or if the
damage is caused by an accident, an act of God, consumer misuse, neglect or abuse,
vandalism, improper use of chemicals, exposure to extreme weather conditions or
negligence during pool set up or disassembly.
We cannot be held responsible for the cost of installation (including water), labor, or
transportation expenses incurred due to the replacement of defective parts. This limited
warranty, furthermore, does not cover any unauthorized alterations to the pool system.
