1. JC400D Installation
1.1 JC400D Overview
1.2 Device Installation
⚫Select a proper installation position, and clean and dry it;
⚫Tear the protective film off the 3M sticker on the mount base. Then attach the mount
base to the glass window;
⚫Press the mount base tight to the glass window to ensure the contact surface is flat.
Wait for 2 hours before you proceed to the next step;

⚫Connect the device to the mount base;
⚫To remove the device, you are advised to use a normal remover to clean the sticker
residue on the glass surface;
1.3 DMS Camera Installation
⚫Select a proper installation position. You can mount it over the dashboard or at a
position within 30 degree right of the dashboard;
⚫Wipe the selected position clean;
⚫Fixate the camera to the dashboard with screws;
⚫Adjust the camera so the lens faces the driver. Then perform image calibration with the
calibration tool (APP);
⚫After the calibration is complete, lighten the joint of the installation bracket.
1.4 Calibration Tool
⚫Please use Android phone to scan this QR code, download and install the APP;

⚫After installation, you can see the APP button as above;
⚫Click the APP and you can see as below, you need to connect device via WIFI first, please
click “Connecting device”:
⚫You can see the description for how to connect device WIFI Hotspot, please do that;

⚫After connection, please click “DMS Calibration”and make sure your face in the blue
square, click to calibrate;
⚫The calibration finished;
2. JC400D DMS Function Setting
2.1 Command Description
Command Format
Parameters Description

DMS_SWITCH,<A>,<B>,<C>#
E.g.: DMS_SWITCH,1,2,60;
Command Function:
This is command to set DMS function of
device;
A means switch to control DMS function, if
set switch to ON, device will wake up DMS
function immediately when ACC ON. If set
OFF, the DMS function can’t be used;
A=0,1; 0=OFF, 1=ON; Default is ON;
B means DMS function sensitivity;
B=1,2; 1=Standard, 2=Radical; Default is
Standard;
C means detect speed, only higher than this
speed, the device will start to detect DMS
event;
C=0,30,60,90; Unit is km/h; Default is
30km/h;

DMS_VOICE_CUSTOM,

E.g.: DMS_VOICE_CUSTOM,10,10,30,5,5,5;
Command Function:
This is command to set interval of the same
event to mention driver with voice;
A=Eyes Closing Event;

B=Yawning Event;
C=Distraction Event;
D=Smoking Event;
E= Phone Calling Event;
F=Shelter Event;
The value can be set for each event is
0,5,10,30,60;
Unit is Second;
Default is 5s;

E.g.:
DMS_ALERT_CUSTOM,180,120,180,180,0,180;
Command Function:
This is command to set interval of the same
event to upload alarm data to server;
A=Eyes Closing Event;
B=Yawning Event;
C=Distraction Event;
D=Smoking Event;
E= Phone Calling Event;
F=Shelter Event;
The value can be set for each event is 0, 120,
180, 600, 1800;
Unit is Second;
Default is 120s;

3. JC400D Test Steps
3.1 JC400D Test Steps
We suggest you can test in your office first to know more about our device when you receive
JC400D, then test in your car.
(1) Test in Office
1) Connect the device with the power supply and make it ACC ON, make sure 3 LEDs are
static lighting;
2) Default detect speed is 30km/h, that means only device speed higher than 30km/h,
then device will wake up DMS function, so you need to check part “2.2”to change the
speed to 0km/h before you test in your office;
3) Please check part “1.3 & 1.4”to find a position where can be used to test DMS function,
and use calibration tool to confirm that;
4) After calibration succeed, you can check the notification setting of device in APP, make

sure all DMS event can be show in APP;
5) If you want some events to record small video and upload to server and show in APP,
you need set that, because default setting is OFF;
6) All setting ready, if not clear, you can chck part “2.2”. Then you can start to test, after
you trigger DMS event you will hear the mention voice from device;

(2) Test in Car
1) Please check part “1. JC400D Installation”to finish the installation;
2) Please use “calibration tool”to finish the calibration;
3) Please change settings as your wish, then start to test;
3.2 How to trigger event
We can provide you some pictures to show how to trigger DMS event, just an example:

3.3 Please note
(1) Default Setting and can be changed by yourself:
1) After you trigger a DMS event, the camera will record video by default. The recording
time is 5s before and 5s after triggered time point, totally is 10 seconds;
2) If you want to upload event video to server, you need to switch it on, default is OFF;
3) If same event be triggered within 2 minutes, it won’t be reported to the platform and
won’t record video in the second time;
(2) The action needs to be held for 3 seconds then the system will judge it as an event. If it less
than 3 seconds, it will not be regarded as an event;
(3) After device determine it is an event, the device will mention you by voice;
(4) The broadcast interval for the same event is 5 seconds by default;
