PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION:
While the IR-KIT MKII is compatible with most brands of audio/video
components, there are a few exceptions. You should perform a temporary
hookup to test for compatibility before you conceal wire or permanently
mount any parts.
INSTALLATION:
1. Place the IR-CB2 connecting block so that the emitter wires will reach the
components.
2. Place the IR-SMR MKII receiver in a convenient location near the television.
3. Insert each wire of the IR-SMR MKII receiver into the appropriate hole on
the removable connector plug of the IR-CB2 connecting block and snap
the locking tabs down. Insert the connector into the socket of the IR-CB2
connecting block.
4. Plug the emitters into the sockets labeled EMITTER OUTPUTS on the
IR-CB2 Connecting Block.
5. Position the emitters on each component’s IR sensor window using the
adhesive backing on the emitter.
6. Plug the connector on the supplied 12VDC power supply into the socket
labeled POWER on the IR-CB2 Connecting Block and then plug the power
cord into an electrical outlet.
7. To control your audio/video components, simply aim your remote control at
the IR-SMR MKII surface mount receiver.
