1. SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read carefully this manual before carrying out any
acon and do take into account all the security instrucons
listed below:
- Only qualied technicians are entled to install, x and carry
out the maintenance of this device. Any acon carried out
on the device must respect the current legislaon and safety
regulaons, both local and European.
- Be especially careful when removing the cover of the hand
dryer, as some acve parts of the device will be exposed,
involving risk of electric shock. Turn o all power sources
before carrying out any electric handling, in order to avoid risk
of electric shock.
- The device must be installed out of reach of any water point,
respecng security distances established by the current IEC
Regulaons.

- Local rules and specicaons for installaon must also
be taken into account, as in some cases a security distance
greater than 0.6 m could be required.
- It is necessary to ancipate procedures to cut the electric
circuit, with at least 3mm contact distance in all poles. Those
disconnecon procedures must be included into the network,
respecng the current European legislaon. Please ensure
that electric installaon has RCD of high sensivity ≤ 0.03A.
- The device can be used by children over 8, as well as by
people with reduced capacies (either physical, sensorial or
mental) and by people with lack of experience or knowledge
if they are supervised, or if they receive some training about
how to use the device in a safe way, and which are the risks
involved. Children must not play with the device; maintenance
cannot be carried out by children without supervision.
- Device must not be installed in ammable areas.
- The device cannot be xed to wall by means of adhesives
or similar means; this is forbidden by the European Security
Regulaons. You must use the xing support provided by the
manufacturer.

2. INTRODUCTION
The main features of the Jet Smart hand dryer are the following:
• Automac funconing. The hand dryer will automacally turn on when hands are detected by IR
sensors. Sensibility of these sensors can be regulated through the potenometers placed inside
the device.
• HEPA lter . The device is equipped with large HEPA lter what allows less frequent replacement
and facilitates aspiraon, what increases air ow. The lter is easy to access, clean and remove.
• Anbacterial ABS. The device is manufactured from ABS plasc which contains some addives
that avoid proliferaon of bacteria, fungi and mould.
• Water tank. Hand dryer has a wáter tank to recover wáter from hands during drying process. The
wáter tank must be empty and cleaned regularly.
• High performance and low consumpon. Heang element of the device turns o automacally
when room temperature is above 25º, saving energy.
• High performance. Drying me is only between 10 to 12 seconds, what makes it suitable for areas
with high trac of people.
• Alarms. Several alarms are included to warn about maintenance needs: water tank full, change of
HEPA lters, change of motor brushes.

3. INSTALLATION
For correct installaon, please follow the next steps:
1- Remove back cover. Break die-cut opening, which is designed to pass power cord through and
screw it to connecon strip. Screw duct provided as a protecon to prevent cord to be pulled
accidentally.
NOTICE: Power cord is not supplied with the device, it must be installed by a qualied technician.
Cable MUST BE TYPE H05RN-F 2 x Ø 1.5mm.

2- Fix to wall by means of screws provided. It is essenal for the evaporaon system that the device
is properly aligned; it is therefore advisable to use the bubble level included on the support xed
to wall. Installaon height must be as follows:
3- Start up the hand dryer by connecng it to power supply.
4- 2- If when you are operang the hand dryer for the rst me, you noce that the sensors do
not detect hands properly, it will be necessary to calibrate sensors again. This can be done by
removing front cover. To disassemble front cover, remove two screws at the boom, and slide it
vercally upwards, where you will nd main switch of the device. The switch will be set in “ON
posion” when the device is delivered.
Screws for wall fixing. It is recommended to use
screws and wall plugs in all 5 fixing holes.

In order to recalibrate sensors you will need to manipulate potenometers. Do it carefully as they are
highly sensive electronical components. Turn potenometers with a at head screwdriver clockwise
or counterclockwise, whichever applies.

4. OPERATION
4.1 Drying
To switch the hand dryer on it must be plugged, the internal illuminated switch must be ON.
NOTICE: When the device is delivered the internal switch is ON, so it is not necessary to remove the
front cover to acvate it.
When hand dryer is switched on, it automacally carries out an internal check; aer some seconds it
will be ready to use.
The right way to use the hand dryer is by introducing vercally both hands, separated, so that they
can be correctly detected by IR sensors.
When motor starts, countdown will be shown on the display of the device, which is similar to a
barcode. The opmal drying me would be one cycle of the barcode display. However if the user
wishes to connue with the drying, another cycle will start automacally without being necessary to
remove hands and introduce them again. Maximum drying me is 30 seconds.

4.2 Heang element
Heang element acvates when room temperature is lower than 25ºC. When the device is in use,
LED diuser light will be red if heang element is acve and blue if heang element is o.
4.3 Water tank
El equipo está preparado para recoger el agua que se desprenda de las manos durante el secado. El
agua será conducida a un pequeño depósito ubicado en la parte inferior del equipo. El depósito es
accesible desde la parte inferior del equipo. Dispone de un pesllo para su liberación y extracción
para el vaciado y limpieza.
4.3.1 Flooding due to misuse or breakdown of the device
For safety reasons, if ooding occurs, due to misuse of breakdown, wáter tank has been designed to
throw out the wáter outside the equipment without damaging it.

5. MAINTENANCE
• Water tank full ( ). When the logo is ON it means that the wáter tank is almost full and must be
empty and cleaned. In order to do it, please follow instrucons from point 6 CLEANING OF WATER
TANK.
• HEPA lter (1). It acvates when sucon is blocked or when HEPA lter is saturated. Hand dryer
will stop funconing; lter must be replaced.
To do so, remove lter cover, situated at the boom of the device. It is xed by means of two
screws, which can be unscrewed by inserng a coin or a athead screwdriver into the slot and
rotang 90⁰. Cover will come o and then lter can be removed easily.
• Motor brushes (3). Nocaon of wear of motor brushes, they need to be replaced. Aer
replacement of brushes, please reset the motor counter following instrucons included further in
this secon.
• Jofel logo (blinking). It means that 30 seconds programmed drying cycle is nished. If sensors
detect a stac object for longer than 30 seconds, the device will automacally stop.
• Heang element. If the device does not expel hot air when the LED diuser light is red, then
there is a breakdown on the heang element. Wait for some minutes unl device cools o. If the
problem persists, please contact Technical Support.
• Cleaning. Keep drain clean. Clean only with damp cloth. Do not use acid or bleach. Clean display
of IR sensors regularly.

Note: The buon situated on the cover of the electronic is used to reset the motor operang hours
counter, and therefore, it shows when the brushes have been changed.
To reset counter, press the buon and at the same me, turn on the device by means of the illuminated
pushbuon. Please keep it pressed unl the rst bar illuminates. Once the pushbuon is released,
the counter is reset to zero and all the bars light up connuously.

10.ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
In compliance with RoHS direcve “Direcve 2002/95/EC” about electrical and electronic equipment,
this electrical hand dryer does not contain any lead, nor mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium,
prolybrominated biphenyl (PBB) or Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) or Phthalates.
This symbol of a crossed out wheelie bin can be found on the characteriscs sheet
of the hand dryer. It means that at the end of the life of the device it must not be
disposed of with the household waste. To facilitate recycling and avoid negave
consequences for the environment and health, the product can be disposed in
specic collecon facilies for electrical and electronic equipment, that have been
designed by local administraons to deal with this type of waste in each town.

1. INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ
Avant d’eectuer toute manipulaon, lire aenvement
et respecter les instrucons de sécurité suivantes:
- Seul un technicien qualié est autorisé à installer, ajuster et
entretenir cet appareil. Toutes les opéraons eectuées sur
cet appareil doivent être conformes à la législaon et à la
règlementaon en maère de sécurité en vigueur au moment
de leur réalisaon, au niveau européen aussi bien que local.
- Prendre le maximum de précauon lorsque la carcasse
est découverte car certaines pares acves de l’appareil
peuvent rester apparentes et constuer un risque potenel
d’électrocuon. Avant de réaliser quelconque manipulaon
électrique, mere l’appareil hors tension électrique d’entrée
pour éviter tout risque d’électrocuon.

- Les règlementaons et spécicités locales d’installaon
seront également à prendre en compte existant la possibilité
d’une distance requise à un point d’eau de plus de 0,6 mètres.
- Des moyens de déconnexion du réseau d’alimentaon
électrique doivent être prévus, avec une séparaon d’au
moins 3mm de tous les pôles. Lesdits moyens doivent être
incorporés au réseau xe, en accord avec la règlementaon
légale européenne en vigueur. S’assurer que l’installaon
électrique dispose d’un interrupteur à haute sensibilité I ≤
0.03A.
- Cet appareil peut être ulisé par des enfants à parr de
8 ans et par des personnes ayant des capacités physiques,
sensorielles ou mentales réduites ou manquant d’expérience
ou de connaissance, s’ils sont supervisés ou s’ils ont reçu la
formaon appropriée pour en faire un usage adéquat et sûr
et s’ils comprennent les dangers potenels qu’il implique. Les
enfants ne doivent pas jouer avec cet appareil. Le neoyage
et l’entreen à réaliser par l’usager ne doivent pas être
eectués par des enfants sans supervision.
- Ne pas installer l’appareil sur une surface inammable.
- Fixer l’appareil au mur avec des adhésifs ou autres méthodes
similaires est formellement interdit par la règlementaon
européenne de sécurité. Uliser le support de xaon prévu
à cet eet et fourni par le fabricant.

2. INTRODUCTION
Les principales caractérisques des sèche-mains Jet Smart sont les suivantes:
• Fonconnement automaque. Le séchoir se met en marche suite à la détecon des mains par
l’un des capteurs IR dont dispose l’appareil. La sensibilité des capteurs peut être ajustée en réglant
les potenomètres situés à l’intérieur.
• Filtre HEPA. Le séchoir possède un ltre HEPA de grandes dimensions qui permet d’accroître le
temps de remplacement, de faciliter l’aspiraon et par conséquent d’augmenter le débit d’air.
Neoyage, accès et extracon faciles.
• ABS Anbactérien. Le matériel ulisé pour la fabricaon de l’appareil est un plasque ABS incluant
des addifs évitant la proliféraon de bactéries, de champignons et de moisissure.
• Réservoir d’eau. Le sèche-main dispose d’un réservoir qui recueille l’eau s’écoulant des mains
durant le séchage. Il est nécessaire de vider le réservoir régulièrement et de procéder à son
neoyage.
• Haut rendement et économie de consommaon. Le séchoir déconnecte automaquement la
résistance si la température ambiante est supérieure à 25°C, générant d’importantes économies
d’énergies.
• Hautes prestaons. L’appareil est capable de sécher les mains par cycles de 10-12 secondes
facilitant la rotaon des usagers.
• Alarmes. Le séchoir incorpore une série d’alarmes averssant de potenels besoins d’entreen,
indiquant par exemple la nécessité de remplacer les balais du moteur, le ltre HEPA ou prévenant
de son obstrucon, d’une défaillance dans le système d’évaporaon, etc.
