3) Pull the sensor cable into the inside of the electrical box. (The cable path differs with the size of
sewing machine.)

box into the top surface of the electrical box
through the clearance provided between the
sewing machine housing and the frame.
②Pull the cables into the inside of the electrical
rack through the hole in the top surface of the

3. Setting the sensor status
Turn ON the power to the sewing machine. Set output operation setting to the [ ON when no light is not
input ] following the procedure described below. For the hold setting, set it to the [ Hold ON ].

1) Temporarily secure fixation plate A ❹, fixation
plate B ❺and sensor ❶as illustrated in the
figure.
Secure the aforementioned parts after you
have adjusted sensor. Firmly assemble them
so that they do not rattle.

2) Detach hook oil supply tube . Detach fixa-
tion screws of the oil tank. Secure sensor
fixation plate B ❺between the oil tank and the
bed. Pass tube through the hole in the plate
and connect to the oil tank.
3) Secure sensor ❶while shifting it to the left
side of plate ❹.

3-2. Adjusting the position of the sensor
1) Attach jig to hook . Turn
hook set the jig at the cen-
ter of backlash of hook .
Loosen screws ❻and .

contact with the undersurface
of jig plate -1. (Adjustment
of the longitudinal position of
the sensor)

2) Turn ON the power to the sew-
ing machine. Turn the pulley
counterclockwise by 45 de-
grees of an angle by hand.
(While the power to the sew-
ing machine is in the ON state,
the rotating hook shields the
laser. It is therefore necessary
to move the rotating hook to
such a position that it does not
shield the laser.)

Adjust the position of the sensor so that the left end face of sensor ❶is aligned with left marker line
-2 of jig . (Adjustment of the lateral position of the sensor)
After the completion of the adjustment, tighten screws .
Irradiate the jig shaft with light from the sensor. Check the irradiation point by observing it from the
upper right side of the sewing machine. Tighten screws ❻when the sensor position allows the light
spot to be aligned with the positioning point on the jig shaft. In the case the light spot is not aligned
with the positioning point on the jig shaft, adjust the longitudinal position of plate A ❹.

3) Loosen screws ❷. Move sensor ❶in parallel
to the right side so that it is aligned with right
marker line -3 on the jig plate.
Detach jig . Attach an empty bobbin and
bobbin case.
4) Check the status of the display on the right side of sensor ❶. Tighten screws ❷when the orange
light lights up and the displayed value is -0.5 to -0.8.
If the orange light goes out, finely adjust the position of sensor ❶to the left.
If the displayed value does not fall within the range of -0.5 and -0.8, finely adjust the position sensor
❶to the right.

1) Press "User param" ❶on the menu screen of
the operation panel.
The "User param screen" is displayed.
2) Press "Statistics setting" ❷.
The "Statistics setting screen" is displayed.
