noisebarbecomesthe specified value(G)on the TVmon-
itorinthe slowmode.
(5)Setthe VCR tothe stop mode.

Pleaseinitializeaccording tothe followingproceduresinthe followingcase:
Just afteryou upgrade thefirmware.
Afteryou confirmthe symptomsthat acustomerpointsout. First Initialize, andthen confirmwhetherthe symptomsareimproved or
not.
Afterservicing,beforereturning the mainbodytoacustomer.(Initializedunitshouldbe returned toacustomer.)
(1)Setthe unittothe testmode.
(2)PressPAUSE keyof theremotecontrollerortransmitthecode "43-6F"fromthe JigRCU.
(3)Wheninitialization iscompleted,the PLAY ( ).markisindicated intheFDP.
4.2.4All-initialization method
Pleaseperformall-initializationaccording tothefollowingproceduresinthe followingcase:

Just afteryou exchange thespindlemotor.
Just afteryou exchange the traversemechanismbase.
NOTE:
Pleaseperformall-initialization when you exchange the partsaboveand alsowhen you removethe partsabove.

(2)Pressthe REVERSE SKIP/INDEX ( )keyoftheremotecontrollerformorethan 2seconds.
(3)Wheninitialization iscompleted,the PLAY ( ).markisindicated intheFDP.
NOTE:
Afterall-initialization, be suretoperformoptimizationadjustment ofFrontEnd parameter.
4.2.5Optimization adjustmentofFrontEnd parameter
AdjustmenttooptimizeFrontEnd parametermustbe performed ineachmechanismassemblyofthismodelforhigh-speed start-
ing.Pleaseperformoptimizationaccording tothefollowing proceduresjustafterall-initialization iscompleted and when FDPshows
anything except"0"(ForexamplewhenFDPshows"1", "2", and "3")at testmode.
(1)Settheunittothetest mode.
(2)The FDPshowstheregion numberfirst.
(3)Pressthe DISPLAY keyofthe remotecontrollerandcheckthat FDPshowsthenumber.

Makesuretowritein"Discat Once".
Setthe filecompatibilityto"ISO9660 format".

(1)Turnthe powerON.Load the updatediscon the trayandclosethe tray.
(2)Updateofthe firmwarestartsautomaticallythen upgradingstatusisdisplayed inthe monitorscreen.
(3)The trayopensautomatically.Removethe upgrade disc.
(4)Closethe traythen pressthePOWERbuttontoturnoff theunit.
(5)Confirmthe versionof the firmware.inthetestmode.
