Safety
Precautions
1.
The
design
of
this
product
contains
special
hardware
and
many
circuits
and
components
specially
for
safety
purposes.
For
continued
protection,
no
changes
should
be
made
to
the
original
design
unless
authorized
in
writing
by
the
manufacturer.
Replacement
parts
must
be
identical
to
those
used
in
the
original
circuits.
Services
should
be
performed
by
qualified
personne!
only.
2.
Alterations
of
the
design
or
circuitry
of
the
product
should
not
be
made.
Any
design
alterations
of
the
product
should
not
be
made.
Any
design
alterations
or
additions
will
void
the
manufacturer's
warranty
and
will
further
relieve
the
manufacture
of
responsibility
for
personal
injury
or
property
damage
resulting
therefrom.
3.
Many
electrical
and
mechanical
parts
in
the
products
have
special
safety-related
characteristics.
These
characteristics
are
often
not
evident
from
visual
inspection
nor
can
the
protection
afforded
by
them
necessarily
be
obtained
by
using
replacement
components
rated
for
higher
voltage,
wattage,
etc.
Replacement
parts
which
have
these
special
safety
characteristics
are
identified
in
the
Parts
List
of
Service
Manual.
Electrical
components
having
such
features
are
identified
by
shading
on
the
schematics
and
by

on
the

List
in
the
Service
Manual.
The
use
of

which
does
not
have
the
same
safety
characteristics
as
the
recommended
replacement
parts
shown
in
the
Parts

of
Service
Manual
may
create
shock,
fire,
or
other
hazards.
4.
The
leads
in
the
products
are
routed
and
dressed
with
ties,
clamps,
tubings,
barriers
and
the
like
to
be
separated
from
live
parts,
high
temperature
parts,
moving
parts
and/or
sharp
edges
for
the
prevention
of
electric
shock
and
fire
hazard.
When
service
is
required,
the
original
lead
routing
and
dress
should
be
observed,
and
it
should
be
confirmed
that
they
have
been
returned
to
normal,
after
re-assembling.
5.
Leakage
currnet
check
(Electrical
shock
hazard
testing)
After
re-assembling
the
product,
always
perform
an
isolation
check
on
the
exposed
metal
parts
of
the
product
(antenna
terminals,
knobs,
metal
cabinet,
screw
heads,
headphone
jack,
contor!
shafts,
etc.)
to
be
sure
the
product
is
safe
to
operate
without
danger
of
electrical
shock.
Do
not
use
a
line

transformer
during
this

RX-MXG9BK
About
this
Manual
The
Engineers
at
JVC
have
made
the
CA-MXG9BK
very easy
to
use,
and
if
you
are
experienced
using
audio
equipment,
you
can
figure
out
how
to
use
some
of
the
CA-MXG9BK
controls
by
yourself.
However,
we
have
built
some
new
features
into
this
model,
which
you
can
learn
about
easily
from
the
manual.
If
you
are
a
new
user
or
just
want
a
review,
this
manual
explains
how
to
use
the
CA-MXG9BK
and
take
advantage
of
its
features
for
playing
and
recording
music,
as
well
as
other
sounds.
One way
to
use
this
manual
is
to
read
it
through
now
and
refer
back
to
it
when
you
need
to
refresh
your
skills
for
some
special
operation.
Of
course
you
can
just
look
up
the
topics
for
things
you
want
to
do,
such
as
recording
a
CD,
but
remember
that
you
may
need
to
refer
to
other
parts
of
the
manual
for
some
of
the
instruction:
for
instance,
in
explaining
how
to
record
a
CD,
we
assume
you
already
know
how
to
load
a
CD.
That’s
why
we
recommend
that
you
read
the
manual
through
once
before
starting.
We’
ve
made
it
short,
and
easy
to
follow.
However,
before
you
proceed,
please
read
the
Cautions
on
page
3
and
the
set-up
directions.
How
This
Manual
Is
Organized
This
manual
is
designed
to
accommodate
several
languages.
To
keep
the
size
from
becoming
too
great,
yet
still
give
you
a
top
quality
instruction
manual,
we
have
incorporated
some
special
features:
«
This
manual
is
composed
of
2
parts:
Easy
Guide
(page
3-8)
and
Features
Guide
(
page
9
-
38).
Easy

describes
basic
operations
and
Features
Guide
describes
other
operations
specific
to
this
Unit.
A
fold-out
page
to
look
at
while
you
read
the
instructions
shows
the
front
controls
of
the
CA-MXG9BK.
Some
procedures
have
the
illustrations
of
which
control
to
use
right
with
them,
and
for
some
you
will
need
to
look
at
the
fold-out
for
the
illustration.
«
Basic
information
that
is
the
same
for
many
different
functions
is
grouped
in
one
place,
and
not
repeated
in
each
procedure.
For
instance,
in
the
section
on
playing
a
CD,
we
do
not
repeat
the
information
about
setting
the
volume
and
the
sound
conditioning,
which
we
talked
about
in
the
Easy
Guide
section.
¢
The
illustrations
on
the
left
of
the
page
are
labeled
to
correspond
to
the
explanations
on
the
right.
If
a
procedure
is
labeled
with
steps
1,
2,
3,
then
the
illustrations
on
the
left
will
also
be
labeled
1,
2,
3.
This
relationship
makes
it
easy
to
read
the
explanation
and
also
see
what
to
do
to
accomplish
your
goal.
The
manual
has
a
table
of
contents
to
help
you
easily
look
up
what
you
want
to
know.
We’
ve
enjoyed
making
this
manual
for
you,
and
hope
you
will
use
it
to
enjoy
the
sound
and
miany
features
built
into
your
CA-MXG9BK.
