Power Sources
Using AC Power
Connect the AC power cord to the AC socket and standard household wall outlet. The
batteries will be automatically disconnected. For dual voltage version, make sure that the
AC VOLTAGE SELECTOR is switched to your local voltage.
Battery Operation
The battery compartment is located on the back of the device.
* Remove the battery compartment door by pressing downward on the tabs as shown in
figure 1 below.
* Insert 8 D size (UM-1) batteries into the battery compartment as shown in figure 2
below. Be sure to observe the polarity markings which are engraved inside the battery
compartment. If the batteries are inserted incorrectly, the device will not work.
* Replace the battery compartment door.
NOTE: The AC power cord must be disconnected from the AC socket on the back of the
unit in order for the unit to operate on battery power.
BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device.
1. Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
2. Be sure to insert the batteries according to the indicated polarity in the device. Reversed
batteries may damage the device.
3. Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old
batteries with fresh ones.
4. If the device is not going to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries. This
prevents any damage or injury caused by leaking batteries.
5. Do not try to recharge batteries which are not intended to be recharged, they can
overheat and rupture.

Preparation before use
Installing batteries in the remote control unit
1. Remove the battery cover from the back of the remote control.
2. Insert two „AAA“ size batteries.
Insert the batteries with the + and – polarities as indicated in the battery compartment.
3. Replace the cover.
REMOTE CONTROL FUNCTIONS
POWER BUTTON
When you plug the device in to a wall socket, the unit will go into standby mode. The
display shows the time. To turn the unit on, press POWER. To completely switch off the
device, pull the plug out of the wall socket.
SUBTITLE BUTTON
Press this to select subtitles when playing a multi subtitle DVD or SVCD disc.
LANGUAGE BUTTON
Select your desired language when playing DVD discs that have more than one
language.
When playing SVCD, VCD, MP4, MP3, and CD press this key to change the audio
channels. There are three options, STEREO, MONO L, and MONO R.
ANGLE BUTTON
Press ANGLE to select your desired watching angle when playing a multi-angle disc. 1/3
indicates the total amount of angles is 3 and the current angle is 1.
NUMERIC KEY
Select the desired track
Press the play button to start playing
TIME BUTTON
• To view current working status.
• To view currently playing track number/play time
• To view remaining time and repress to view currently playing track number/total time or
remaining total time.
Notice:
a. This function is invalid in program mode.
b. When using this function, PBC will automatically turn off if PBC was on.
P/N BUTTON
Select the colour system: PAL/NTSC/MULTI.
MENU/PBC
In DVD mode: Press this key to return to DVD menu.
In VCD mode: Only available when playing a SVCD 2.0 or higher. The function of this key
may vary from disc to disc.
When MENU OFF, you can select items through menu list using and keys.
When MENU ON, you cannot select items through the and key.

RESUME BUTTON
When you press STOP during playback, you can press RESUME to continue watching
from the point you have stopped.
ZOOM BUTTON
Press the ZOOM button to turn on/off the zoom function. There are multiple zoom ratios
available: zoom1-zoom2-zoom3-zoom4-zoom1/2-zoom1/3-zoom1/4-zoom off.
While zoomed in you can move around the picture using the directional keys.
TITLE BUTTON
In DVD mode press this key to return to the title menu. Use the directional and numeric
keys to select the desired option.
OSD BUTTON
Press OSD button to see the current working status while playing.
A-B BUTTON
Press A-B first to set location A repeat A-, press again to set location B.
Then playback will repeat between the two locations repeat A-B.
Press A-B the third time to cancel the function and return to normal playback: repeat
cancel.
REPEAT BUTTON
- Press the key to play selected items repeatedly
- When playing DVD, repeat 1 or all, the repeat functions are in a circle as below:
REP:(OFF) REP:(CHAPTER) REP:(TITLE)
- When playing SVCD/VCD/CD, the repeat functions are in a circle as below:
(The function in only valid when PBC is OFF)
REP:(OFF) REP:(REP1) REP:(REP ALL)
- When playing MP4, MP3, the repeat functions are in a circle as below:
REP:(OFF) REP:(single) REP:(REP1) REP:(REP folder) REP:(REP ALL)
SLOW BUTTON
- Press SLOW button during VCD/DVD playing to play the video in slow motion.
There are different ratios which will appear in this order: SF1/2, SF1/3, SF1/4, SF1/5,
SF1/6, SF1/7, play.
STEP BUTTON
- Press this key to skip frame by frame.
- Press PLAY to return to normal playback.
FUNCTION SELECT
Use FUNCTION button to select DVD/AUX/TUNER mode.
SLEEP BUTTON
Press the SLEEP button to turn on the sleep function, change sleep time and turn off the
sleep function. There are different sleep times available which will show in the display
from 90 80 70 10 00. If the sleep function is activated, the system will count down
till zero and then automatically turn off.

PROGRAM BUTTON
-CD/VCD/DVD MODE:
Up to 20 tracks can be programmed.
Press STOP key to stop playing.
Press PROGRAM key to turn on or off the program mode.
Change the track by pressing the numeric key on the remote.
Press the PROGRAM key again to save the program step and choose the next track in
the program.
After you have programmed all the desired tracks. Press play key to exit the programming
mode. Press the play key again to start playing the program.
Note: In MP3 mode the program function is not available.
PLAY/PAUSE
To start playback or interrupt playback

In the CD/VCD/DVD/MP4/MP3 mode skip forward during play.

LCD DISPLAY
Shows the AM/FM dial frequency
Shows the number of tracks
MUTE BUTTON
Press MUTE button to continue the playback without sound. To restore the volume, press
the MUTE button again or adjust the volume.

Remote control signal sensor
VOLUME CONTROL
Press VOLUME DN to decrease or press VOLUME UP to increase the volume.
REW
In the CD/VCD/DVD/MP4/MP3 mode skip down during play.
STOP
In the CD/VCD/DVD/MP4/MP3 mode stops play
USB SLOT
To listen to your USB flash memory stick with Mp3 music files, press FUNCTION switch
on main unit then LCD display will show „CARD-USB“. Insert Mp3 stick and it will start
playing your USB flash memory Stick.

SD/MMC CARD
To listen to your SD/MMC Card with MP3 files, press the FUNCTION switch on the main
unit, then the LCD Display will show „CARD-USB“. Insert SD/MMC Card and the device
will automatically start playing your SD/MMC Card.

To improve FM/AM reception

In any mode press the CLOCK key on the remote control 1 sec to: set time, time on, time
off, time stop/run
Time set:
Press CLOCK once, press ENTER to confirm, use or to adjust 12H/24H
Press ENTER to confirm, use or to adjust hour.
Press ENTER to confirm, use or to adjust minute.
Time on set:
Press CLOCK twice, press ENTER to confirm, use or to adjust hour.
Press ENTER to confirm, use or to adjust minute.
Time off set:
Press CLOCK three times, press ENTER to confirm, use or to adjust hour.
Press ENTER to confirm, use or to adjust minute.
Disc/tuner mode set:
Press MODE four times, use ENTER to select disc, tuner, TV/AUX mode.
Time run/stop set:
Press mode five times, use ENTER to select time run/stop mode.

Radio reception
1. Press the BAND selector to a desired setting -FM STEREO, FM, AM.
2. Rotate the TUNING control to find the desired stations.
NOTE: If the BAND selector is set to the FM stereo station, the FM stereo LED indicator
will light.
DVD/VCD/MP3/CD PLAYER
Playing a DVD/CD/MP3
This CD-player can play Audio Discs, CD-R, CD-RW, MP4, MP3, VCD, DVCD, SVCD,
DVD and JPEG.
Adjust the source selector to DVD/ CD.
To open the CD door, press CD OPEN button.
Insert a disc with the printed side facing up and press CD Door gently to close.
To pause playback press . To resume, press again.
To stop CD playback, press STOP .
Selecting a different track
During playback you can use or to select a particular track.
If you have selected a track number in the stop or pause position, press to start
playback. Press once briefly for the next track, or press repeatedly until the desired
track number appears in the display. Press more than once briefly for a previous
track.

1. Connecting to TV SET (AV input)

One set of AV cable is included in the standard package
* Connecting the unit‘s Video output to the TV‘s Video input terminal (yellow)
* Connecting the unit‘s echo audio output to the TV‘s audio input terminals
(White for left speaker and red for right speaker)
* When connecting, please refer to the manual of the TV set.
* Convert to PAL or NTSC when watching different kinds of discs.

2. Connecting to AC-3 or DTS decoding amplifier (optional)
* Connect the unit‘s video output terminal to the TV‘s video input terminals (VIDEO)
* Press the SETUP button on the remote control to enter the unit‘s SETUP menu.
* Press direction arrow on the remote control to select AUDIO setup, press ENTER. To
open the next menu.
* Press direction arrow on the remote control to AUDIO OUTPUT and press ENTER to
open the next menu.
* Press direction arrow on the remote control to select SPDIF/PCM output.
* Press ENTER to confirm the setting.
* Press direction arrow on the remote control to select MAIN PAGE and exit SETUP
menu.

BASIC MENU OPERATION FOR DVD
Press the SETUP button on the remote control unit to setup the initial settings, Select
SETUP PAGE through directional buttons, the selected item will be highlighted.
MENU OPERATION
You can setup the mode of audio and video output, OSD language, initial setup, parental
control and so on. You can also select the aspect ratio of the playback picture to fit your
TV screen. Press the SETUP button and the system will put itself into stop mode.

TV SYSTEM
Using up/down arrow button to make a selection for DVD system, There are three TV
output systems to choose from: NTSC, PAL and MULTI.
SCREEN SAVER
Using up/down arrow button to select the status of the screen saver.
ON: when enabled, after the machine has been idle [e.g. in stop/pause state or waiting
for user input for about 60 seconds], the video will be blanked while a screen saver will
bounce around the screen to protect the screen.
OFF: no screen saver
VIDEO
There are multiple video out and video in options;
TV TYPE
Using left/right arrow button to select TV aspect ratio.
4:3 PS: 4:3 Pan & scan video output for a normal TV set.
4:3 LB: 4:3 Letter Box video output for a normal TV set, the screen displays the wide
picture with bands displayed in the upper and lower portion of screen.
16:9:16:9 wide screen video output for a wide screen TV set
PASSWORD
The initial setting of this item is locked, you will not be able to set the rating and you can
not change the password. To change these things, you have to enter the initial password:
136900. Press ENTER, you can then change ratings and the password.

confirm: the unit supports 7 AUDIO languages

Use up/down arrow buttons to select the desired AUDIO language and press ENTER to
confirm: the unit supports 7 modes
MENU LANGUAGE
Use up/down arrow buttons to select the desired AUDIO language and press ENTER to
confirm: the unit supports 7 modes
AUDIO SETUP
AUDIO OUT
Use right arrow button to select audio output.
There are three options: SPDIF/OFF.SPDIF/RAW.SPDIF/PCM
When you use optical or coaxial output, please select SPDIF/RAW, or SPDIF/PCM
output.
Note: when you don‘t use optical or coaxial output, make sure that you set the audio
output mode to SPDIF/OFF
VIDEO SETUP
BRIGHTNESS: Use up/down to adjust the brightness of video output.
CONTRAST: Use up/down to adjust the contrast value of video output.
HUE: Use up/down to adjust the HUE value of video output.
SATURATION: Use up/down to adjust the saturation value of video output.
SPEAKER SETUP
DOWNMIX
LT/RT: when you play discs that have pro logic Dolby effect. You can choose LT/RT output,
the disc information will be decoded and will give a better effect.
STEREO: The output will be from the front left and front right channel.

Press SETUP and select speaker setup via up/down. The screen will display as below.

DYNAMIC RANGE
Select DYAMIC RANGE to adjust compression ratio and you can get different effects.
when you adjust to FULL, the compression ratio will be set at the lowest, when you adjust
to OFF the compression ratio will be set at the highest
DUAL MONO
Here you can set the audio output of L and R channels, there are four modes; STEREO.
MONO L.MONO R.MIX MONO.
TIME BUTTON
You can use this key to set a playback start point, Press the key and move the
directional buttons to highlight the input part. Input the numbers according to the desired
title, character item or time and press ENTER to confirm and start playback from the
programmed starting point.
Note:
A.This function is invalid in program mode.
B.When using this function, it will turn PBC off automatically when PBC is on.
MP3/JPEG PLAYBACK
MP3 PLAYBACK
a. After loading a MP3 disc the unit will automatically scan its content and load the first
map. You can then select the item of your choice and press ENTER. The unit will then
start playing the track you selected.
b. Press right directional button to select the song that you want and press [ENTER] to
confirm, if you want to make some changes, use /key to select desired item,
press ENTER to confirm.
c. Press REPEAT to change playback between single repeat, folder repeat, disc repeat
and repeat off.
JPEG PLAYBACK LOAD A JPEG DISC
Use the up/down button to select a picture. Press PLAY to start playback from this
picture.
Use up/down button to select a picture, press ENTER to view the whole picture in full
screen.
When the picture is motionless, press ZOOM to zoom into the picture, use directional
button to move around the picture.
When the picture is motionless, press right directional key to rotate the picture clockwise
and press left directional key to turn counter clockwise. When the picture is motionless,
you can change to another picture using and . Press PLAY to play the picture in
normal order.

MP3 & JPEG PLAYBACK
When playing a MP3 & JPEG disc and you are enjoying MP3 but want to change to view
JPEG picture, you can press the right directional button to move the cursor to the picture-
view icon and press ENTER to view the pictures. Select one picture and press PLAY to
enjoy the pictures in normal order. The other functions are similar to those when playing
JPEG disc.
