ENGLISH
Desktop or shelf installation
When installing the switch on a desktop or shelf, attach these cushion feet on the
bottom at each corner of the device. Allow enough ventilation space between the
device and the objects around it.
Power supply
The switch can be used with 110-240VAC/50-60 Hz input, DC3.3V/1A output.
Connecting the switch
PC to switch
A PC can be connected to the switch via a two-pair category 5 UTP/STP straight
cable. The PC (equipped with a RJ-45 10/100Mbps jack) can be connected to
any of the ports. According to the connected network cards, the LEDs indicate at
which speed the card operates. If the LED indicators do not light up after making
a proper connection, check the PC’s LAN card, the cable, switch conditions and
connections. The LED indicator lights up after you’ve made a proper connection.
HUB to switch
A HUB (10/100Base-T) can be connected to the switch via a two-pair category
5 UTP/STP straight cable. Connect a cable to the hub’s uplink (MDI-II) port to any
of the switch’ ports (MDI-X).
Hub without uplink (MDI-II) port
If the hub is not equipped with an uplink (MDI-II) port, you make a connection
using either a straight cable or a crossover cable (see Appendix B,Technical
Specifications for cable requirements).
Using straight cable
When using a straight cable, the connection can be made from the uplink (MDI-II)
port of the switch to any port of the hub.
Using crossover cable
When using a crossover cable, the connection can be made from any port of the
switch to any port of the hub.
Switch to switch (other devices)
The switch can be connected to another switch or device (router, bridge, etc.)via a
two-pair category 5UTP/STP straight or crossover cable.
Using straight cable
When using a straight cable, this is done from the uplink (MDD-II) port of the switch
to any of the 10Mbps or 100Mbps (MDI-X) ports of the other switch or device.
Using crossing cable
When using a crossover cable, this is done from any (MDI-X) port of the switch to
any of the 10Mbps or 100Mbps(MDI-X)port of the other switch or device.
NOTE: The first twisted-pair port (port 1x) is shared with the uplink port. If you
connect a hub to the uplink port, then do not use port 1x.

Tisch- oder Regalinstallation
Wenn Sie den Switch auf einem Tisch oder in einem Regal installieren, bringen Sie
diese Polsterfüße an jeder Ecke des Geräts an. Lassen Sie zwischen dem Gerät
und den darum stehenden Gegenständen genügend Platz zur Belüftung.
Stromversorgung
Der Switch kann mit einem Eingang von 110-240 VAC/50-60 Hz und einem Ausgang
von DC 3.3 V/1 A benutzt werden.
Anschluss des Switch
PC an Switch
Ein PC kann über ein gerades Twisted-Pair-Kabel der Kategorie 5 UTP/STP
an den Switch angeschlossen werden. Der PC (muß dazu mit einer RJ-45
10/100Mbit/s-Buchse ausgestattet sein) kann an einen beliebigen Anschluss
angeschlossen werden. Entsprechend den angeschlossenen Netzwerkkarten zeigen
die LEDs an, mit welcher Geschwindigkeit die Karte arbeitet. Wenn die LED-Anzeiger
nicht aufleuchten, nachdem ein geeigneter Anschluss hergestellt wurde, überprüfen
Sie den Zustand und die Anschlüsse der LAN-Karte des PCs, des Kabels und des
Switch. Der LED-Anzeiger leuchtet auf, wenn Sie einen geeigneten Anschluss
hergestellt haben.
Hub an Switch
Ein Hub (10/100Base-T) kann über ein gerades Twisted-Pair-Kabel der

Installation sur un bureau ou une étagère
Lorsque de l'installation du commutateur sur un bureau ou une étagère, fixez ses
pieds à chaque coin au-dessous de l'appareil. Laissez suffisamment d'espace de
ventilation entre l'appareil et les objets autour.
Alimentation électrique
Le commutateur peut être utilisé avec une alimentation de 110-240 VAC/50-60 Hz
en entrée et 3.3 VCC/1 A en sortie.
Branchement du commutateur
PC vers commutateur
Un ordinateur peut être branché au commutateur avec un câble droit UTP/STP de
catégorie 5 à deux paires. L'ordinateur (doté d'une prise RJ-45 10/100 Mbps) peut
être branché sur l'un des ports au choix. Selon les cartes réseau branchées, le
voyant indique à quelle vitesse la carte fonctionne. Si les voyants ne s'allument pas

Installatie op bureau of boekenplank
Wanneer u de switch op een bureau of boekenplank installeert, bevestig dan de
beschermvoetjes aan de onderzijde op iedere hoek van het apparaat. Zorg dat
er genoeg ventilatieruimte is tussen het apparaat en de objecten in de omgeving
ervan.
Voeding
De switch kan gebruikt worden met een voedingsadapter met 110-240 VAC /
50-60 Hz ingang en DC 3.3 V/1 A uitgang.
Het aansluiten van de switch
PC naar switch
Een pc kan op de switch aangesloten worden met een 2-paar categorie 5 UTP/STP
'straight' kabel. De pc (voorzien van een RJ-45 10/100Mbps aansluiting) kan op
een willekeurige poort aangesloten worden. De LED's geven in overeenstemming
met de aangesloten netwerkkaarten de snelheid aan waarop de kaarten werken.

Quando si installa lo switch su una scrivania o un ripiano, applicare questi piedini
ammortizzatori sul fondo, ad ogni angolo del dispositivo. Lasciare lo spazio

Collegamento dello Switch
Da PC a Switch

5 a due coppie. È possibile effettuare il collegamento a qualsiasi porta del PC (se
dotato di un jack RJ-45 10/100 Mbps). In base alle schede di rete collegate, i LED
indicano la velocità di operatività della scheda. Se le spie LED non si illuminano
dopo aver effettuato un collegamento nel modo corretto, controllare la scheda LAN
e le condizioni e le connessioni del cavo e dello switch. La spia LED si illumina
dopo aver effettuato un collegamento corretto.
Da HUB a switch
È possibile collegare un HUB (10/100 Base T) allo switch tramite un cavo diritto
UTP/STP cat. 5 a coppie intrecciate. Collegare un cavo alla porta dell'uplink
dell'hub (MDI-II) e a qualsiasi porta dello switch (MDI-X).
Hub senza porta uplink (MDI-II)
Se l'hub non è dotato di porta uplink (MDI-II), effettuare il collegamento utilizzando

Instalación en escritorio o estantería
Cuando instale el conmutador en un escritorio o estantería, una estos pies de
protección en la parte inferior de cada esquina del dispositivo. Deje un espacio
suficiente entre el dispositivo y los objetos que lo rodean.
Alimentación:
El conmutador puede utilizarse con laentrada de 110-240VAC/50-60Hz y la salida
de DC3.3V/1A.
Conexión del conmutador
PC al conmutador
Podrá conectar un PC al conmutador mediante un cable recto bipar de categoría
5 UTP/STP. El PC (equipado con una toma RJ-45 10/100Mbps) puede conectarse
a cualquiera de los puertos. En función de las tarjetas de red conectadas, las LED
indican la velocidad a la que operan las tarjetas. Si los indicadores de la LED no
se encienden tras realizar una conexión adecuada, compruebe la tarjeta LAN del
PC, el cable, las condiciones del conmutador y las conexiones. El indicador LED se
enciende una vez que haya realizado la conexión adecuada.
Central al conmutador
Podrá conectar una central (10/100 Base-T) al conmutador mediante un cable recto
bipar de categoría 5 UTP/STP. Conecte el cable al puerto de enlace de la central
(MDI-II) con cualquiera de los puertos del conmutador (MDI-X).
Central sin el puerto de enlace (MDI-II)
Si la central no está equipada con un puerto de enlace (MDI-II), realizará una
conexión utilizando un cable recto o un cable cruzado (véase el Anexo B,
Especificaciones técnicas para los requisitos del cable).
Uso del cable recto
Cuando utilice un cable recto, la conexión podrá realizarse a partir del puerto de
enlace (MDI-II) del conmutador a cualquier puerto de la central.

Cuando utilice un cable cruzado, la conexión podrá realizarse a partir del puerto
del conmutador a cualquier puerto de la central.
Conmutador a conmutador (otros dispositivos)
El conmutador puede conectarse a otro interruptor o dispositivo (enrutador, puente,
etc.) mediante un cable cruzado o recto bipar de categoría 5UTP/STP.
Uso del cable recto
Cuando utilice un cable recto, la conexión se realizará a partir del puerto de enlace
(MDD-II) del conmutador a cualquier puerto de 10Mbps o 100Mbps (MDI-X) de otro
conmutador o dispositivo.
Uso del cable cruzado
Cuando utilice un cable cruzado, la conexión se realizará a partir de cualquier
puerto (MDI-X) del conmutador a cualquier puerto de 10Mbps o 100Mbps (MDI-X)
de otro conmutador o dispositivo.
Nota: El primer puerto de par girado (puerto 1x) se comparte con el puerto de
enlace. Si conecta una central al puerto de enlace, no utilice el puerto 1x.
