Introduction
Scan all your 35 mm films and slides with this easy to use USB scanner. Just install
the software on your PC and connect the scanner, put the films or slides in the tray and
insert them in the scanner. The scan time is less then a second per picture. Includes:
software, one film tray, one slide tray and a cleaning brush. Extra trays are available
under CMP-FILMTRAY10 and CMP-SLIDETRAY10.
1 Installation
1.1 Installing the software and driver
Before you can use the film scanner you need to install the driver and ArcSoft
PhotoImpression 6. Please do not connect the USB scanner before you have
installed the driver and software. To install the driver and software, please follow
the instructions below:
• Insert the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive, the installation menu will
automaticly appear.
• When you see the menu, select “Scanner Driver”
• Follow the instructions on the screen
• After finishing the driver installation, select “Arcsoft Software Suite” in the menu
of the installation CD
• Select a language and click OK
• Follow the instructions on the screen
• The installed software will automatically create a “PhotoImpression 6” logo on
your desktop. Restart your computer and remove the installation CD from your CD-
ROM drive.
1.2 Installing the scanner
• After the driver and software are installed, connect the scanner via a USB 2.0 port.
Don’t insert a tray yet
• Windows will start the “found new hardware wizard”. Follow the instructions shown
on the screen.
• After completing the wizard the USB film scanner is ready to use

• Click on the “PhotoImpression 6” icon on the desktop. Follow the instructions to
open the software.
• Go with the cursor to the upper left
corner of the window and click on
“Get Photos”. Select “Acquire from
Film Scanner”. A new window will be
opened.
• 1: Choose where you want to save your
pictures.
• 2: When the scanner is used for the
First time, calibrate the scanner
first. You only need to calibrate the
device once. Afterwards you can
immediately click on Acquire. The
next window will appear.

Insert a tray into the scanner and move
the tray carefully to adjust the film. To
capture a picture, click on the Snap Shot
in the window or press the copy button
on the scanner.
Note: to ensure the best image quality,
please allow about 5 seconds between
snapshots and transfers for white balance
enhancement. The colour and brightness
can also be adjusted manually by
adjusting the settings under the Colour/
Brightness button.
The picture will be visible in the preview area. A maximum of 12 can be stored in the
preview area. If you want to save the scanned pictures, press the Transfer button to
save them. The preview area will be automatically cleared then.
If you would like to see the scanned pictures, do not minimize the window, but click on
Exit and you will see the pictures you scanned before
4 Cleaning the dust from the scanner
Open the PhotoImpression 6 software as if you were about to scan a picture. Do not
insert any slides or negatives into the film scanner. You will be able to see the dust
that is on the lens. Use the cleaning brush to wipe the dust.
5 Editing pictures
To edit a picture, select one picture and go to Edit. Select Photo editing tools, a new
window will open.
The three tabs in the upper left corner contain several editing options.

Einführung
Scannen Sie all Ihre 35 mm-Filme und Dias mit diesem leicht benutzbaren
USB-Scanner. Installieren Sie einfach die Software auf Ihrem PC und schließen den
Scanner an, legen Sie die Filme oder Dias in den Halter ein und schieben sie diesen
in den Scanner. Die Scan-Zeit beträgt weniger als eine Sekunde pro Bild. Besteht aus:
Software, 1 Filmträger, 1 Diaträger und 1 Reinigungsbürste. Mit CMP-FILMTRAY10
und CMP-SLIDETRAY10 sind weitere Träger erhältlich.
1 Installation
1.1 Installation der Software und Treiber
Bevor Sie den Filmscanner benutzen können, müssen Sie den Treiber und ArcSoft
PhotoImpression 6 installieren. Schließen Sie den USB-Scanner bitte nicht an,
bevor Sie den Treiber und die Software installiert haben. Um den Treiber und die
Software zu installieren, befolgen Sie bitte die nachfolgende Anleitung:
• Legen Sie die Installations-CD in das CD-ROM-Laufwerk ein.
Das Installations-Menü wird automatisch angezeigt.
• Wenn Sie das Menü sehen, wählen Sie “Scanner Driver”.
• Folgen Sie den Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm.
• Wählen Sie nach Beendigung der Treiberinstallation “Arcsoft Software Suite” im
Menü der Installations-CD.
• Wählen Sie eine Sprache aus und klicken auf OK.
• Folgen Sie den Anweisungen auf dem Bildschirm.
• Die installierte Software erzeugt automatisch ein “PhotoImpression 6”-Logo auf
Ihrem Desktop. Starten Sie Ihren Computer erneut und nehmen die Installations-
CD aus dem CD-ROM-Laufwerk.
1.2 Installation des Scanners
• Nachdem der Treiber und die Software installiert worden sind, schließen Sie
den Scanner am USB 2.0-Port an. Legen Sie noch keinen Träger ein.
• Windows beginnt mit der Erkennung neuer Hardware. Folgen Sie den Anweisungen
auf dem Bildschirm.
• Nachdem die Hardware Erkennung beendet ist, ist der USB-Filmscanner
anwendungsbereit.
2 Benutzung der Träger
1. Öffnen Sie den Diaträger, wie abgebildet.

2. Legen Sie ein Dia in den Diaschlitz, wie abgebildet.
3. Schließen den Diaträger.

• Klicken Sie auf das Symbol “PhotoImpression 6” auf dem Desktop. Folgen Sie den
Anweisungen, um die Software zu öffnen.
• Gehen Sie mit dem Kursor in die
obere linke Ecke des Fensters und
klicken auf “Get Photos” (Fotos
erhalten). Wählen Sie “Acquire
from Film Scanner” (Erfassen vom
Filmscanner). Es wird ein neues
Fenster geöffnet.
• 1: Wählen Sie aus, wo Sie Ihre Bilder
speichern möchten.
• 2: Wenn der Scanner das erste Mal
benutzt wird, muss er zunächst
kalibriert werden. Sie brauchen
das Gerät nur einmal zu kalibrieren.
Danach können Sie sofort auf
Acquire (Erfassen) klicken. Es wird
das nächste Fenster angezeigt.

Setzen Sie einen Träger in den Scanner
ein und verschieben Sie den Träger
vorsichtig, um den Film zu justieren. Um
ein Bild aufzunehmen, klicken Sie auf
Snap Shot im Fenster oder auf die Taste
Copy am Scanner.
Hinweis: Damit Sie die beste Bildqualität
erhalten, lassen Sie zwischen den
Schnappschüssen und Übertragungen
etwa 5 Sekunden Zeit, damit der
Weißabgleich verbessert wird. Die Farbe
und die Helligkeit können auch manuell
mit der Colour/Brightness-Taste
eingestellt werden.
Das Bild wird im Vorschaubereich angezeigt. Es können bis zu 12 Bilder im
Vorschaubereich gespeichert werden. Wenn Sie die gescannten Bilder speichern
wollen, drücken Sie die Transfer-Taste. Der Vorschaubereich wird dann automatisch
gelöscht.
Wenn Sie die gescannten Bilder sehen möchten, minimieren Sie das Fenster nicht,
sondern klicken auf Exit. Dann sehen Sie die vorher gescannten Bilder.
4 Reinigung des Scanners von Staub
Öffnen Sie die PhotoImpression 6-Software, als wenn Sie ein Bild scannen wollten.
Legen Sie keine Dias oder Negative in den Filmscanner ein. Sie können den Staub
auf der Linse sehen. Wischen Sie den Staub mit der Reinigungsbürste weg.
5 Bearbeitung von Bildern
Um ein Bild zu bearbeiten, wählen Sie ein Bild aus und gehen zu "Edit". Wählen Sie
"Photo editing tools", und es wird ein neues Fenster geöffnet.
Die drei Tabs in der oberen linken Ecke enthalten verschiedene
Bearbeitungsoptionen.

Introduction
Numérisez toutes vos pellicules de 35 mm et diapositives avec ce scanner USB
facile à utiliser. Installez simplement le logiciel sur votre PC et branchez le scanner,
mettez les pellicules ou les diapositives dans le plateau et insérez-les dans le scanner.
Séquence: moins d'une seconde par image. Fourni: un logiciel, une pellicule, un
panier à diapositives et une brosse de nettoyage. Des plateaux supplémentaires sont
disponibles sous CMP-FILMTRAY10 et CMP-SLIDETRAY10.
1 Installation
1.1 Installation du logiciel et du pilote
Avant d'utiliser le scanner de pellicule, vous devez installer le pilote et ArcSoft
PhotoImpression 6. Ne pas brancher le scanner USB avant d'installer le pilote et
le logiciel. Pour installer le pilote et le logiciel, suivez les instructions ci-après:
• Insérez le CD d'installation dans le lecteur CD-ROM, le menu d'installation va
s'afficher automatiquement.
• Dès que le menu s'affiche, sélectionnez “Scanner Driver”
• Suivez les instructions sur l'écran
• Après l'installation du pilote, sélectionnez “Arcsoft Software Suite” dans le menu
du CD d'installation
• Sélectionnez une langue et cliquez sur OK
• Suivez les instructions sur l'écran
• Le logiciel installé va créer automatiquement un logo “PhotoImpression 6” sur
le bureau. Redémarrez votre ordinateur et retirez le CD d'installation du lecteur
CD-ROM.
1.2 Installation du scanner
• Après avoir installé le pilote et le logiciel, connectez le scanner via un port USB 2.0.
N'insérez pas encore un plateau
• Windows affiche l'assistant “Nouveau matériel détecté”. Suivez les instructions
affichées à l'écran
• Après avoir complété l'assistant, le scanner de pellicule USB est prêt à être utilisé
2 Utilisation des plateaux

2. Mettez une pellicule dans la fente comme indiqué

3 Premiers pas avec Arcsoft PhotoImpression 6
• Cliquez sur l'icône de „PhotoImpression 6“ sur le bureau. Suivez les instructions
pour ouvrir le logiciel.
• Placez le curseur à l'angle supérieur
gauche de la fenêtre et cliquez sur
“Get Photos”. Sélectionnez “Acquire
from Film Scanner”. Une nouvelle
fenêtre s'affiche.
• 1: Choisissez où vous voulez
sauvegarder vos images.
• 2: Lorsque vous utilisez le scanner pour
la Première fois, étalonnez d'abord
le scanner. Vous aurez à étalonner
l'appareil une seule fois. Après,
vous pourrez cliquer immédiatement
sur Acquire. La fenêtre suivante
s'affiche.

Insérez un plateau dans le scanner et
déplacez le plateau avec précaution pour
ajuster la pellicule. Pour prendre une
image, cliquez sur Snap Shot dans la
fenêtre ou appuyez sur bouton Copier
sur le scanner.
Remarque: pour garantir une meilleure
qualité de l'image, attendez 5 secondes
entre des prises et les transferts pour une
amélioration de la balance des blancs.
La couleur et la luminosité peuvent être
également ajustées manuellement et
réglant les paramètres avec la touche
Couleur/luminosité.
L’image sera visible dans la zone d’aperçu. Il est possible de stocker un maximum de
12 image dans la zone d’aperçu. Si vous souhaitez enregistrer les images numérisées,
appuyez sur la touche Transfert. La zone d’aperçu sera ensuite automatiquement
effacée.
Si vous voulez visionner les images scannées, ne réduisez pas cette fenêtre, mais
cliquez sur Quitter et vous verrez les images scannées antérieurement
4 Nettoyage de la poussière sur le scanner
Ouvrez le PhotoImpression 6 comme si vous étiez sur le point de numériser une
image. N'insérez ni diapo, ni négatifs dans le scanner de pellicules. Vous pourrez
apercevoir la poussière qui est sur la lentille. Servez-vous de la brosse de nettoyage
pour essuyer la poussière.
5 Édition des photos
Pour éditer une photo, sélectionnez une image et allez à Éditer. Sélectionnez les outils
d'édition Photo, une nouvelle fenêtre s'affichera.
Les trois onglets à l'angle supérieur gauche contiennent plusieurs options d'édition.

Introductie
Scan al uw 35 mm negatieven en dia's met deze eenvoudig te bedienen
USB-scanner. Installeer de software op uw pc en sluit de scanner aan. Plaats de
negatieven of dia‘s in de houder en schuif deze in de scanner. De scantijd is minder dan
een seconde per foto. Inclusief: software, één negatiefhouder, één diahouder en een
schoonmaakborstel. Extra houders kunt u bestellen met behulp van de bestelcodes
CMP-FILMTRAY10 en CMP-SLIDETRAY10.
1 Installatie
1.1 Installeer de software en het stuurprogramma
Voordat u de scanner kunt gaan gebruiken dient u het stuurprogramma en ArcSoft
PhotoImpression 6 te installeren. Sluit de USB-scanner niet aan voordat u het
stuurprogramma en de software heeft geïnstalleerd. Om het stuurprogramma en
de software te installeren dient u de onderstaande instructies op te volgen:
• Plaats de installatie CD in de CD-ROM speler en het installatiemenu zal automatisch
verschijnen.
• Wanneer u het menu ziet selecteer dan “Scanner Driver”.
• Volg de instructies op het scherm.
• Na de installatie van het stuurprogramma selecteert u “Arcsoft Software Suite” in
het installatiemenu van de CD.
• Selecteer een taal en klik op “OK”.
• Volg de instructies op het scherm.
• De geïnstalleerde software zal automatisch een “PhotoImpression 6” icoon op
uw bureaublad aanmaken. Verwijder de installatie CD uit uw CD-ROM speler en
herstart uw computer.
1.2 Installeer de scanner
• Nadat het stuurprogramma en de software zijn geïnstalleerd, kunt u de scanner
aansluiten via een USB 2.0 poort. Plaats nog geen houder.
• Windows zal het “nieuwe hardware gevonden” hulpprogramma starten. Volg de
instructies op het scherm
• Na het afsluiten van het hulpprogramma is de USB-scanner klaar voor gebruik
