Before using the IntelliEAR® PLUS for the
rst time, you must charge the internal
rechargeable battery for at least twelve
hours. Please refer to Page 15. of this guide,

Open the battery cover and
install the two AG13 batteries.
Please note the polarities
indicated:

INSTALL EAR TIPS
The IntelliEAR® comes with 3 silicone ear tips that have
different head diameters for different size ear canals. We
suggest you try all 3 sizes for the most comfortable t and
best listening results.

Place the silicone ear tip over knob, with the tip pointing
towards the front of the unit. See diagram at left marked
RIGHT WAY. Do not place the ear tip the WRONG WAY.

SWITCH “ON” THE UNIT AND SET VOLUME
The switch is located on one side of the unit. When the
switch to ON position, the red light comes on. Slide it to
the OFF position and the red light turns off. Turn the knob
to change the volume of the unit. Once the volume control
is set at the desired level for your personal listening
preference, you only need to slide the power switch to
the ON position and you can enjoy the same sound level
each time.
HOW TO WEAR THE INTELLIEAR®
Wrap the rubber wire over your ear until the unit is secure
and comfortable. This rubber wire is made to easily adjust
to all ear shapes and sizes. The IntelliEAR® is packed to
t on the right ear. To use it on the left ear, bend the wire
to the opposite side; adjust ear tip angle for left ear.

PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Remember to charge the
IntelliEAR® PLUS
for a minimum
of 12 hours prior to rst use! See section titled “Recharging
the Battery” on the following page for help.
SWITCH “ON” THE UNIT
The ON-OFF Power switch is located on one side of the
unit. When you slide the switch to ON, the red light comes
on. Slide it to the OFF position and the red light turns
off. Be sure to turn the unit OFF when you recharge. The
battery cannot be recharged when the unit is ON.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
A rechargeable Ni-MH battery operates the IntelliEAR®
PLUS unit.
Before
using the unit for the rst time, you
must charge the internal Ni-MH rechargeable battery for
a minimum of
twelve hours
. If the sound is weak while the
volume control is at the maximum position, the battery
should be recharged immediately.
RECHARGING THE BATTERY
Do not remove the Ni-MH battery from the IntelliEAR®
PLUS unit. The AC adapter included with this unit is for
recharging the battery. Locate the DC jack on the inside of
the unit
(diagram at right)
. To recharge the battery, insert
the DC plug into the DC jack and plug the AC adapter into
a wall socket. A green light will come on to indicate that
the battery is being charged. A full recharge process takes
around 12-14 hours.
Only
use the AC adapter supplied by
the manufacturer (see page 17).

*CAUTION:
Only
use the AC adapter that has been supplied by the
manufacturer. The manufacturer does not refund or service items
damaged by unauthorized adapters.
VOLUME CONTROL
Volume control is located on the side of the unit. Turn
the knob counter-clockwise to increase the volume.Turn
the knob clockwise to decrease the volume. Once the
volume control is set at the desired level for your personal
listening, you need only slide the power switch to the ON
position and you can enjoy the same sound level each
time.
HOW TO WEAR THE EAR AMPLIFIER
Wrap the rubber wire over your ear until the unit is secure
and comfortable. This rubber wire is made to easily adjust
to all ear shapes and sizes. If desired, the soft ear tip
cover can be taken off and cleaned using lukewarm water.
Only clean the soft ear tips in this way. Do not submerge
the IntelliEAR®/PLUS in water.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS
(BOTH MODELS)
1) Why do I need to charge the battery before the first use?
The IntelliEAR® PLUS uses a Ni-MH battery. These
batteries require a full charge before the rst use of the
product for the batteries to function at their optimal use.
The IntelliEARTM PLUS can be charged for 12 hours or
overnight. Button-cell batteries for the IntelliEARTM last
approximately 12 continuous hours.
2) How do I know if the battery is fully charged?
Charging the IntelliEar® PLUS 12-14 hours can fully
recharge the internal battery
(see page 15)
.
3) Will the green light turn off when battery is fully charged?
No, the light will stay on when fully charged and the unit
is in the off position. When the unit is turned on again, the
red light will appear.

4) How can I get it to fit in my ear properly?
Both the IntelliEAR® and IntelliEAR® PLUS come with
three different style ear tips. Choose an ear tip that ts
comfortably in your ear but is not too loose. Use the
exible foam earpiece to wrap around the outer ear to
hold the unit at the desired position.
5) How do I clean the
IntelliEAR®/PLUS
?
Wipe the unit with a clean, damp cloth. Do not immerse
the unit in water or it will destroy the battery and possibly
cause electric shock.
6) How do I clean the
IntelliEAR®/PLUS
soft ear tips?
The ear plug cover can be removed and cleaned with
lukewarm water. Do not use soap or detergents. Clean ear
tips in a bowl of warm water and wipe clean with a cloth.
7) Why is there a high pitched noise?
Audio feedback may be caused when the IntelliEAR® and
