Please follow these basic
steps before turning on
your Gimbal.
1. Read the Safety Precautions
(page 01).
2. Fully charge the battery for a
minimum of 4 hours (page 05).
3. Mount and balance your
Smartphone in the Gimbal (page 06).

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Before using your Kaiser Baas S3 Gimbal
please ensure you read and understand the
following product and safety precautions.
• Dropping or otherwise impacting
the gimbal may damage the product
causing it to malfunction.
• Ensure there is nothing obstructing the
Gimbal when the S3 is powering on.
• The S3 Gimbal is not water resistant. Do
not use any liquid cleansers. Only use a
soft dry cloth to clean the S3.
• Keep the S3 away from sand and dust
to safeguard the sensors in the motors.
• ONLY recharge the S3 using the
supplied USB cable: If using a wall
charger,ensurethatitisacertied
product for your region. AC Input:
100-240VAC 50/60Hz. DC Output: 5V
1A. Only use a USB wall charger with
suitableapprovalandcertication.Do
not charge in conditions outside of the
10°C - 45°C range. If you do not know
the voltage and current of your charger,
use the included cable to charge from
your computer.
• The Gimbal should not be used in heat
exceeding 55°C (131°F).
• DO NOT drop, crush, pierce, bend,
deform, microwave, incinerate or
damage the Gimbal.
Important Battery Safety Information
• DO NOT use any third-party or unknown
accessories or batteries.
• DO NOT disassemble the battery.
• DO NOT short-circuit the battery. Short
circuiting may occur when the battery
touches other metal objects.

• DO NOT charge the battery in direct
sunlight.
• Always charge the battery in a
designated space, away from people
and animals.
• DO NOT leave a battery on prolonged
charge when not in use.
• If the battery has a high surface
temperature, leave it to cool before you
try to re-charge it.
• DO NOT charge the battery if the
ambient temperature is below 10°C or
above 45°C.
• Always use the supplied charger
and observe manufacturer charging
requirements.
• Battery performance is best when within
normal room temperature (5°C-20°C).
• Batteries need to be charged before
use.

Initial Setup
Make sure the Gimbal is fully charged
before use. Connect the USB wall charger
(not included) to the Micro USB charging
port using the supplied charging cable.
The battery status indicator will be red
when the power cable is connected. The
battery is fully charged when the battery
indicator light turns green.
Thebatteryindicatorwillashredwhenthe
battery is low.
Recommended charging time is 3-4 hours.
Maximum runtime is 5 hours.
PREPARING THE S3 05 - ENG
Smartphone
IMPORTANT: Before you switch on and
balance your Gimbal, please mount your
Smartphone.
Pull the sides of the holder outwards and
place the Smartphone horizontally in the
holder, then gently release the sides.
Once the phone is in the holder, slide the
phone into the groove of the tilt motor.

It is important to balance the S3 Gimbal
before turning on.
The axis is balanced if the Smartphone
remains level when released.

How to balance your Smartphone
It is critical you place the Gimbal on a
level surface as you make adjustments. If
after mounting the Smartphone it tilts to the
left, loosen the roll axis balancing knob (10)
and pull out the adjustable arm (11) gradually
to the right until it remains level.
If the Smartphone tilts to the right, slightly
push the arm back in to the left until it
levels out. Once level tighten the balancing
knob (10). It is now safe to power on (7)
your Gimbal.

POWER ON / OFF 09 - ENG
1. To power ON / OFF the Gimbal, press
and hold the power button (7) for 3
seconds until the green light turns
on (6).
CONNECTING 10 - ENG
How to Pair your Smartphone with
your Gimbal
1. Place your Smartphone onto the
Gimbal. (See page 7)
2. Power on the S3 by holding the power
button for a few seconds.
3. Open your Bluetooth settings and
connect with the device named ‘KB S3’.
4. If the pairing is successful you can now
use your S3 Gimbal to record video and
take photos.
5. If the pairing is not successful try
turningBluetoothoandonuntilyou
see ‘KB S3’.

OPERATION 12 - ENG
Controls
1. Joystick
Use the joystick to pan or tilt the
Smartphone.
2. Power Button
Hold the power button for a few seconds to
power ON / OFF.
To re-centre the Gimbal, simply double tap
the power button.

3. Capture Button
Press the Capture Button to take photos
and to start/stop recording videos. To
switch between photo and video modes,
tap the icons on your Smartphone screen.

Hold the S3 Gimbal upright when the
Smartphone is in default horizontal
position.
Rotate your wrist 90º to the right side and
hold the S3 Gimbal perpendicular to the
oor.TheS3willbringtheSmartphoneinto
vertical orientation. You can now change
the direction of your wrist to change the
direction of the Smartphone.

There are three shooting modes.
1. Locked Mode:
In this mode all axes are locked and the
viewnderscreenwillmaintainaxed
direction to keep the Smartphone still and
stable. Push the joystick UP / DOWN to
manually control the tilt axis, move the
joystick left and right to manually control
pan axis.
2. Pan Follow Mode:
The stabilizer will follow the direction of
rotation of the handle. Pan and tilt allows
the Gimbal to move in both horizontal and
vertical axes. Push the joystick UP / DOWN
to manually control the tilt axis, move the
joystick LEFT / RIGHT to manually control
pan axis.

3. Pan and Tilt Follow Mode:
The framing picture will follow the
direction of rotation of the handle while
also following the direction of the handle
pitching operation.
