Introduction
The Waist Level Finder N is an easy-to-use enclosed type Finder Hood which can be opened and
closed with a single touch.
It is also equipped with a sports finder which can help you to capture the subject even when there
is intense movement, i.e., sports photography, etc.
The diopter lens is interchangeable, and five different types are available as optional accessories.
Attaching the Finder
With the front of the finder slightly lowered, insert the Attaching Latches into the camera body, as
illustrated.
Raising and Lowing the Magnifier
To raise the magnifier, slide the Magnifier Release to the left and the Magnifier will pop up into position.
To lower the magnifier, gently push the Magnifier’s base plate all the way down until clicks into place.
Removing the Finder
Push the finder’s Lock Release Button (5) while pushing down on the Down Arrow Button at the opposite
side and lift up.
Changing the Magnifier
To remove the Magnifier, gently squeeze the sides of the Focusing Hood preventing the Magnifier’s base
plate from moving, and then rotate the Magnifier counterclockwise and remove it.
Raising the Hood
Open the Hood by raising the Finder Opening Tongue (7).
After lowering the Magnifier, gently squeeze the right and left panels of the Hood together, and then
release and the Hood will close.
Using the Sports Finder
With the Waist Level Finder N in the closed position, pull out the Sports Finder’s eyepiece until it stops.
Next, raise both the Sports Finder’s wire frame and eyepiece to a vertical position. The Sport Finder’s
eyepiece is raised by turning the gear knob in the direction of the arrow.
The Wire Frame indicates the view for the 80mm lenses. When you want to use the 110mm, 150mm or
210mm lenses, attach the Auxiliary Frame to the finder’s Wire Frame. Use the Depth-of-Field and the
Distance Scales to set the focus.
