1.2 Functions
• TIME: Time (hr, min, sec with a 12-hr and 24-hr display)
Date (day, month, year), automatic calculation of the day of the week (from 2000 to 2049)
• ALARM: Daily alarm
• STOPWATCH: Stopwatch up to 99 hours 59 minutes.

99 memories that can be viewed during operation, shows the fastest, slowest and average lap
times.

• PACER: Pacer is adjustable to between 1 and 240 beeps per minute.
• TIMER: 3 timer systems adjustable to between 1 sec and 99 hrs 59 mins 59 secs in 1-second steps
with 1/100th-second resolution.
• SPEED: Speed calculation in km/h and MPH (conversion possible).
• STROKE: Average frequency calculation over 2 to 30 cycles.

2 / Water resistance
The stopwatch is classed as «water resistant». It can therefore be used in humid conditions and is
resistant to rain but is not waterproof when submerged.

On the lower line, you will see the pacer rate that can be adjusted from 1 to 240 pulses per minute
(possible rates: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100, 110, 120, 140, 150, 160, 180, 200,
240)

there is a choice between 3 possible timer modes:
• Down and Up: the timer counts down from the start time to zero, beeps, then times the time
elapsed since the beep.
• Repeated timer: repeat timer. The timer counts down from the start time to zero, beeps, then
starts again from the same start time and increments the repeat counter.
• Training timer: The user can set up to 9 different timers one after the other. The user may also set
the number of repeats of the sequence set.
You can switch from one to the other by holding down the SPLIT/RESET button for few seconds.

• This type of timer is designed for programing a training session made up of a succession of periods
of different lengths and at different intensities, the whole to be repeated a certain number of times.
• It is therefore necessary to program the session before you start the training session.
To simplify the procedure, take a look at the following example:
You want a training session with three 45-second bursts of fast running interspersed with 15-second
walking sections.

Use the same procedure as you would when setting the second 15-second timer.
The START/STOPbuttonstartsorstopsthesession.Thetimerssucceedeachotherinnumericalorder
(T1-T2-T3...) until they reach a timer programed with a zero value and then start again with T1.
The repeat counter is incremented. If the first timer is not T1, the repeat counter is incremented just
before restarting the first timer.
For example: 3 timers, T1, T2, T3 have been programed. The first one for the session is T3. The timer
increments after T3 then T1 then T2 have been completed, just before restarting T3.
• Beep sounds
In order to differentiate between the timers and the progress of the session, the end beeps are
different:
End of a timer: 3 successive beeps. End of a repeat: 2x3 successive beeps. End of the session: 4x3
successive beeps.
For the previous example:

Pressing the START/STOP button stops the timer.
Pressing the SPLIT/RESET button resets the repeat counter to zero and resets the timer to its start
time.

7.2 Using the split times

Thestopwatch measures split times(SPLIT, the time elapsed fromthestart to a givenpoint)and the
lap times (LAP, the time elapsed between two consecutive split points).
It allows you to measure up to 999 split times and save the first 299 times in the memory.

When the stopwatch is running, you can display successive split times and lap times on their
respective lines by successively pressing the SPLIT/LAP button.
The split time counter will be incremented each time you press the button.
Once you reach the figure 299, the counter flashes to show that the memory is full.
The word FULL appears on the display.
When you stop the stopwatch (START/STOP), a final lap time is added to the memory.
7.3 Using the memory
When using the stopwatch, the first 299 split times and lap times are saved in the memory.They can
be viewed whether the stopwatch is running or not, by pressing the RECALL button.
The order in which the information is displayed changes depending on whether the
stopwatch is running or not.
• If the stopwatch is running:
Press RECALL successively to display the saved times one after the other in the following order:
- The fastest lap time (FAST)
- The slowest lap time (SLOW)
- The average lap time over the X saved times (AVG)
- The last lap time (x)
- The second last lap time (x-1)
...
- the first lap time (1)
• If the stopwatch is not running:
Press RECALL successively to display the saved times one after the other in the following order:
- The fastest lap time (FAST)
- The slowest lap time (SLOW)
- The average lap time over the X saved times (AVG)
- The FIRST lap time (1)
- The SECOND lap time (2)
...
- The second last lap time (x-1)
- The last lap time (x)

8.1 Setting the distance
Carry out the same process for all the distance figures. The point between the figures represents the
decimal point. 1.435 corresponds to 1.435 km or 1.435 miles.
Once all the settings are completed, press RECALL to exit the settings mode.
8.2 Operation in Speed Mode
Set the distance to be measured in advance.
The stopwatch is started/stopped by pressing the START/STOP button. You can add several times to
each other by pressing START/STOP again between each time.

Each time you press STOP, the speed in Km/h or Mi/h (depending on the setting) is shown on the
lower line of the display.
When the stopwatch is running, you can display and save lap times and average speeds for these lap
times by successively pressing the SPLIT/LAP button. The split time counter will be incremented
each time you press the button.
Once you reach the figure 299, the counter flashes to indicate that the memory is full.
When you stop the stopwatch (START/STOP), a final lap time is added to the memory.
Given that the maximum speed allowed is 999 999, calculated speeds greater than
this value will give rise to an «ERROR» message on the upper line and the speed will
not be saved in the memory.
8.3 Speed Mode Recall Memory
The memory may be recalled whether the speed mode is still running or stopped.
• When the stopwatch is stopped, each time you press the «RECALL» button:
Fastest speed/lap, slowest speed/lap, then average speed/lap, after which the lap times are recalled
starting with the first ones.
• When the stopwatch is running, each time you press the «RECALL» button:
Fastest speed/lap, slowest speed/lap, then average speed/lap, after which the lap times are recalled
starting with the last ones.
You can convert the measurement units for the speed from km/h to MPH (miles per
hour) by pressing the SPLIT/REST button briefly when the stopwatch is stopped.
Holding the button down for a few seconds resets the stopwatch (the measured
distance is displayed on the lower line)
The distance may also be converted into miles or kilometres by pressing briefly on
SPLIT/RESET when the stopwatch is stopped.
If the stopwatch is running or if split times have been memorised, the
SPEED mode is unavailable. On the other hand, if speeds have been memorised or
if the SPEED mode is active, the stopwatch is unavailable.
9 / Frequency calculation mode (STROKE)
• The «STROKE» function counts the frequency of a repetitive action with a certain rhythm
(rowing or swimming strokes or running strides). The time taken to do x strokes (adjustable
setting) is measured and the stopwatch displays the average frequency in beats per minute
(BPM) over this period.

9.2 Frequency measurement
Supposing that the value X has been adjusted at the previous stage (displayed on the counter in
brackets). Start timing by pressing START/STOP and stop timing by pressing START/STOP once the
xth stroke has been completed.
The number of strokes (strides) per minute is displayed on the lower line and the time is shown on
the upper line.
Count the time INTERVALS between the impacts and not the impacts themselves.
E.g.: impact.....impact.....impact.....impact = 3 strides and not 4
Comments:
1. If you press the START and STOP button too quickly (less than 1/8th of a second
(0.125 secs), you will get an «ERROR» message. This shows that the value is too
high.
2. If your press the START and STOP buttons over too long a time period, you will
get an «ERROR» message. This means that the time period is too long and that the
STROKE measurement is unusable for analysis.

The warranty does not cover:

2 / Etanchéité
Le chronomètre est classé «water resistant». Il peut donc être utilisé dans des atmosphères humides

3 modes de compte à rebours possibles :
•DownandUp: le compteà rebourspartdelavaleurdedépart,descendà0,bipepuischronomètre
le temps depuis le bip.
• Repeated timer : compte à rebours répété. Le compte à rebours part de la valeur de départ,
descend à 0, bipe, puis recommence depuis la valeur de départ en incrémentant le compteur de
répétitions.
• Training timer : compte à rebours d’entraînement. L’utilisateur peut régler jusqu’à 9 comptes
à rebours différents, enchaînés. Il règle également le nombre de répétitions de la séquence ainsi
formée.
Vous passez de l’un à l’autre par un appui long sur la touche SPLIT/RESET.

6.3 Training timer
• Ce type de compte à rebours est conçu pour programmer une séance d’entraînement composée de
blocs d’intensités et de longueurs différentes qui s’enchaînent, la séquence se répétant un certain
nombre de fois prédéterminé.
• Avant de démarrer l’entraînement, il est donc nécessaire de programmer la séance.
Pour simplifier la procédure, voici un exemple à suivre :
Vous devez réaliser un entraînement alternant 3 blocs formés de 45 secondes de course rapide et 15
secondes de marche.
Procédez de la même facon pour régler le second timer de 15 secondes.
Le bouton START/STOP lance ou arrête la séance. Les comptes à rebours s’enchaînent dans
l’ordre numérique (T1-T2-T3…) jusqu’à un compte à rebours programmé à une valeur nulle puis
recommence avec T1. Le compteur de répétitions s’incrémente. Si le premier compte à rebours
n’est pas T1, le compteur de répétitions s’incrémente juste avant de recommencer avec le compte
à rebours de départ.
Exemple : 3 comptes à rebours, T1, T2,T3 ont été programmés. Le premier de la séance est T3. Le
compteur s’incrémente donc après avoir réalisé T3 puis T1 puis T2, juste avant de recommencer T3.
• Sonneries
Afin de différencier auditivement les comptes à rebours et la progression de la séance, les bips de
fin ont été différenciés :
Fin d’un compte à rebours : 3 bips rapprochés. Fin d’une répétition : 2x3 bips rapprochés. Fin de la
séance : 4x3 bips rapprochés.
Pour l’exemple précédent :
Start !
