The drip coffee machine is now
ready for use.
Operating Your Drip
Coffee Machine
1. To fill the water tank, lift the lid
and use the handle to remove
the water tank from the back
of the drip coffee machine. Fill
the water tank to the desired
level with cold tap water. Do not
exceed the MAX (10) level mark.
Slide the water tank back into the
drip coffee machine and put the
lid back on (see Fig.1).

WARNING: Only
use cold water in the
water tank. Do not use

2. Spoon ground coffee into the
removable mesh filter basket.
Allow approximately 1 heaped
teaspoon of ground coffee for
1 cup of brewed coffee. Do not
exceed the MAX level mark.
WARNING: Do not overfill
filter basket. Ensure the
correct dose of coffee is
used.
NOTE: The filter basket is
removable and should be
washed in warm, soapy water
after each use, then rinsed and
dried thoroughly.
NOTE: Disposable coffee filters
are not necessary and should not
be used with or without the mesh
filter basket.
3. Close the filter holder by pushing
it back into position. Ensure it
clicks into place.
4. Position the empty carafe on
the hotplate.
5. Plug the power cord into a
230V or 240V power outlet
and switch on.
6. Press the ON/OFF switch to the
‘ON’ position to turn on the drip
coffee machine. The switch will
illuminate and the coffee will
start to brew.
WARNING: Do not
touch hot surfaces.
High temperatures are
generated during use,
which could cause
burns. Always use the
handle and warn others
(especially children) of
the possible dangers
of burns from steam,
hot water or hot plate,
especially during and
after brewing process.
7. When brewing is complete, the
hotplate will keep the coffee hot
as long as the coffee machine is

hotplate will continuously
heat as long as the
coffee machine
power switch is in the
'ON' position and the
machine is switched
on at the power outlet.
Please switch off and
unplug when not in use.
NOTE: Although brewed coffee
can be kept hot in the carafe
sitting on the hotplate with the

deteriorate with time.

10
8. Switch the coffee machine to
'OFF' when the carafe is empty or
when you no longer want to keep
the coffee hot.
9. The drip coffee machine should
be switched off at the power
outlet then unplugged from the
outlet when not in use.
10. Follow the cleaning instructions
found in this booklet.
WARNING: Do not refill
water tank immediately
after brewing process.
Allow unit to cool for at
least one hour before
refilling water tank and
starting the next brewing
process.
WARNING: Do not leave
the drip coffee machine
unattended while coffee
is being brewed.
TIP: Always use finely ground

Making Tea
The drip coffee machine can also be
used for brewing tea.
Thoroughly clean out any coffee
residue in the mesh filter basket and
filter basket holder before brewing tea
(and vice versa).
Simply place 4 to 6 teabags or
teaspoons of tea in the mesh
filter basket and follow the same
procedure as for brewing coffee.

11
Care, Cleaning and Storage
Before cleaning, always switch the
drip coffee machine in the ‘OFF’
position and switch off at the power
outlet. Unplug the power cord and
allow the coffee machine to cool.
Use the handle to push the filter
holder to the left so it swings open.
Remove and empty the mesh filter
basket. The filter basket and carafe
can be washed in hot soapy water,
then rinsed and dried thoroughly.
The outer housing and filter holder
can be cleaned with a soft, damp
cloth (do not use abrasive agents
or cloths which can damage the
surfaces).
WARNING: Do not touch
hot surfaces. Allow the
drip coffee machine to
cool down before moving
or cleaning any parts.
Removing Mineral Deposits
Mineral deposits in tap water may
build up in the water tank and
internal tubes. If these deposits are
not removed, the brew time will be
extended. To start the decalcifying
process, follow these steps:
1. Fill the water tank to the MAX (10)
level mark with 2 parts cold tap
water and 1 part white vinegar.
2. Ensure the filter holder is firmly
positioned into place with the
empty mesh filter basket inside.
3. Position the empty carafe on
the hotplate and switch the
coffee machine on. Allow the
vinegar mixture to drip through
the machine until the cycle is
complete. Switch the machine off
and empty the carafe.
4. Refill the water tank with tap
water. Switch the coffee machine
on and allow the fresh water to
drip through. Switch the machine
off and empty the carafe.
5. Once cooled, wash the carafe
in hot soapy water , rinse and dry
thoroughly.
Mineral deposits will have been
removed from the water tank and
internal pipes.
WARNING: Before starting
the decalcifying process
(or de-scale feature),
ensure the carafe is
empty and inserted
correctly in position.
WARNING: The water
tank should never
be removed during
decalcifying process (or
de-scale feature).
Storage
Ensure the drip coffee machine is
switched off, cleaned and dried
before storing. Do not store anything
on top.
WARNING: Do not store
the drip coffee machine
with water in the water
tank. Always empty the
tank after use.
